Hump Day Confessions
- I haven't smoked in ~5 years, but all week I have been craving one and wanting to steal one of Guy's cigs and light up. Like, to the point where I actually looked for them yesterday and then I couldn't find them so I gave up.
- I've gotten off-track with my diet. Last night I ate like 5 cookies. I have no self-control when it comes to food.
- I'm re-gifting one of Ellie's birthday presents to x-bff's daughter this weekend. (It was something Ellie already had.)

- I was playing around with carseats at Target yesterday and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get any of them out of their bases. It made me feel like a major idiot. I've dealt with carseats before, but I guess it's been a while. I kind of had a mini meltdown last night telling H that I feel like I'm going to be a crappy mom because I have no idea what I'm doing.
- I've been at work for 4 hours and haven't actually done anything yet.
Oh hun... you are going to be a great mother! And for that it's worth, you are not alone. Chris and I attended a Carseat 101 at Babies R Us because we were so clueless as to what we needed and when. Check and see if your local on offers anything similar... I know they have them for breastfeeding, too! Every little bit of knowledge helps

Also, it bothers me when people ask for help on a matter, then disregard the many useful suggestions they receive. Please, don't ask for advice if you're not going to listen to it. It saves us all a whole lot of time.

My bff's baby shower is in less than two weeks and I'm starting to worry that I haven't done a very good job planning. We're not having it in a restaurant and I'm worried I haven't planned for enough food, plates, beverages etc...
Along those same lines, as excited as I am for bff I'm equally scared that this baby is going to change our friendship. We have no intention of having kids for at least 2 more years and I just fear that our ability to do what we want and them having a kiddo will make it hard to do stuff together...or we're going to have to be like them and be content with staying in more often than not, in which case I feel like we might as well have a baby (no not really) just so we have a legit reason to do this.
I acknowledge that this is all very selfish on my part and in reality I know that everything will be fine and our friendship will be fine because there's more too it than just doing stuff together. However, it's there in the back of my mind that everything is going to change and it's not even my baby!

- I am loving having my class ring on every day. I haven't worn it in years, but I think it will become a regular piece I wear again.
- Jon is going golfing today and I am super jealous. I love golfing
- I am super pissed at our bosses. Yesterday the paper deadline was extended 4 hours and instead of putting our automated message on the phones, my co-worked took 245 phone calls in almost 2 hours. There is no reason for 1 person to take that many calls. Their excuse was that no one felt like coming in to turn the message on. Whatever, where do I sign up for a job where I get to just dec wheather or not I feel like doing my job and I don't get fired.

I just got back from my OBGYN and I am seriously annoyed. My endo was extensive enough that she wants me to do 6 straight months of super strength Lupron to make sure I'm all clear for TTC. That puts us into November.
Oh, and it is only November if they can actually get it- the drug company is rationing shipments because they've had a shortage and only giving it to women stimming for IVF- thankfully my doctor is calling the drug rep today to try to get me some to at least start/ hold me through their next batch date.

My CW is doing the HcG diet (she puts drops under her tongue like 4 times a day) and she WILL NOT SHUT UP ABOUT IT. I just want to say I DON'T CARE.

The traveling dance company that I used to be in is having an alumni dance in the recital this year. Practice starts this weekend and I still haven't decided if I'm going to do it. I have gained a lot of weight since then and I feel like I will be panting away and look like a whale up on stage(no offense to whales).
No one has any ideas. They think the shortage will be up by the end of June, which makes me (and my health law background) think that they had an FDA approvals issue with one of their plants and therefore have to toss a batch, but, that is just my personal speculation.
I've had it before and had no problems getting it, and even if there is a jump in the community of need, there's no way it is so unexpected that a nationwide shortage would result, so I feel like it has to be a production based issue.

I went into the freezer last night to get a Klondike bar. Robin has eaten 6 in 2 days. I haven't even had one yet! Sometimes I feel like I'm going to have to start rationing food.... or make him do the grocery shopping.
Also, I spent all weekend cleaning our house and by Tuesday night it already looks a f-ing wreck. This is mostly because my husband stacks up piles of mail everywhere and also because he refuses to just leave the couch pillows on the couch. Why, why are they always just thrown on the floor?! Sitting next to a pillow is not bad. It will not hurt you. If you want to throw it on the floor, just pick it up when you get up. Not too much to ask, right. He had the nerve to say "Please, stop bitching at me."
Chris is like that. I swear, if I don't eat food fast enough in our house, he's going to get to it before I can...

My mom did this. I told her I didn't think ingesting pregnancy hormones was a good idea or a plausible means of weight loss. She emailed me a wikipedia article in support of her position. :-o

LOL. In all seriousness, Kel, I think you should go for it. I'm sure it would be fun and I'm sure the other alumni don't have their dancer's bodies anymore either. go for it and have fun!

If someone (!!MB!!), gets mad over that, well then that is just ridiculous!!
I don't understand why this would be upsetting or why someone should take it personally if someone posts here/asks for advice but doesn't take it. e.g., in Khart's circumstance, she was given a lot of suggestions. Doesn't mean she has to take any of them or that someone should get upset cause she doesn't like their suggestion.

Kirk is like this too. Particularly with energy beverages. So, if I need one for a Wednesday board meeting or something I have to hide it from Friday (grocery day) to whenever in the back of the fridge.
I have also started eating things he doesn't like (snickers ice cream bars) as treats and buying him his own set of something else (twix ice cream bars) so he is less tempted to eat them even if they're not his preferred food.
