Updating Passport Question
I need to update my passport, as it is still in my maiden name.
Does anyone know if they will accept a noterized copy of my marriage certificate, or do they need the original? The website wasn't real clear.
Re: Updating Passport Question
"An original or certified copy of your marriage certificate or the government-issued document evidencing your legal name change under federal or state law."
It's right on their website.

Not sure how I missed that. Thanks Heather!
ehh i get it saves money but if your only other id has a different name i would be freaked out if something happened in a foreign country
yeah, i'm okay with taking that chance, it doesn't bother me. i can't think of many scenarios when i'll need id other than a passport
what if you lost the passport or it was stolen?
well then i guess i'm just SOL
that's good to know, i'm wondering what they would do if you don't have another form of id . . . .
