You do know that the City and County for that matter will trump any HOA any day of the week right??? And that even though your HOA has rules against placement of signs in your yard for personal reasons, that you could go to the City and petition that and if the City says its ok then there's nothing the HOA can do right???

I'm just checking because you make it sound like the HOA is the end all be all and they really aren't, they're just there to make the neighborhood look pretty by enforcing stupid rules like keeping your trash cans out of sight, picking up your dog crap, and not leaving junk all over your yard.

ummm, yeah . . . You do realize that HOA stands for HOME OWNERS Association - and is meant to regulate the activity of HOME OWNERS in relation to the development - not the city?

But hell, if you want to call up the city and lodge a protest and make it clear that this sign was put up without the consent of YOU, the almighty HOA treasurer, then by all means, go ahead. I'm sure the city will zoom over with their bulldozers and wrecking balls to tear that ghastly sign down (because you know, it is SO big!) and bring you a medal to recognize your civic alertness.

Does Chelsea have a ridiculous complaint? Sure. The sign doesn't seem like that big of a deal.

But, either way, this post is not exactly pile-on worthy.

Hahahaha. BRAIN FART. I thought I posted that picture in the rapture post. Somehow the posts mixed together in my mind. Oh man...it's a good thing it is Friday. I have no idea what is going on! Surprise

I don't think it's worth getting way worked up. But I do agree that if they went to the city with a well thought out request to move the sign, they may have some luck. The city may very well tell them to eff off, but there's nothing wrong with a respectful request.

I asked around to see who I would contact to about the sign and nobody really knew, each department or group I thought would be responsible said someone else was.

Like I said I get worked-up really fast when I decided to get worked up. However, I got less worked up each day and never did talk to anyone that would be influential. Not my favorite neighborhood feature, but I guess I have blocked it out. I suppose it was a ?sure, but not in my back yard? thing, it does have some interesting things on it if you are into timed or distance walks.

They might all be gone soon anyways; most got vandalized, which surprises me because I have seen that happen in the area before. Maybe they thought placing the sign in a person?s yard would keep it safe, the one in my neighbor?s yard is the only one I have seen not scribbled on.
