Re: Random Monday
That is what I was going to ask. Maybe she think now that you are going to be a Mom this is what you want to talk/hear about.
Just got back from my ultrasound. It was so cool to see the little guy (or not so little in our case!). The little man is measuring big. Especially his head. Lucky me.
If I can get my scanner running, you guys wanna see the picture?
On a less then ideal note, I guess I have polyhydramnios (too much amniotic fluid). I don't really understand what it means, and I am refusing to google it. I guess on the bright side it means I get to be monitored more closely , which equates to seeing my baby more often.
I don't know if she specifically approaches other women with videos and shoes. She does always talk baby when other women are around though.
I am the only women growing a baby, but other women have children in the office and a few men have wifes expecting right now too.
I do feel kind of bad that it annoys me, but I honestly don't care to see videos and pictures of her kid all the time. I'm not going to lie, other people's kids make me uncomfortable sometimes. I didn't really grow up around babies or small children so I'm not always sure how to react. My younger adopted sister is the closest thing to a baby I ever spent time with until a few years ago when friends of ours had a baby girl.
I don't think you need to feel bad for being annoyed. If a coworker only talked about an obsession with collecting figurines that would be annoying too, right? My bet is that she: 1) just likes talking about her kids, or 2) wants to get closer with you and is using kids as a vehicle
I talk about my kids a lot, especially here. That's mostly because while I'm trying to type a coherent thought, they're running around doing their best to distract me. I try to maintain a balance of topics in all discussion, but sometimes the squeaky (or, in this case, charming) wheel gets the grease.
I hope you find a way to manage the time that she overshares. Good luck!
Of course we want to see the picture. And smart move on not Googling it. I had "placenta lakes" and I googled it and came up with a bunch of other stuff. Luckily my doctor was very calm about the whole thing, so I didn't worry to much.
I actually had low fluids and had to get several u/s.
Mira, of COURSE we want to see!
Graduation was good. Jim's parents brought the kids up to CMU (the kids did great for their first slumber party at their house). I had a bag loaded with small books, coloring stuff, and treats. The kids and I wound up sitting away from his parents (his mom was in a wheelchair, and there was no room for us in handicap seating). My kids did great! The 7 year old who sat next to Henry did not. He kept poking Henry or took away his pencil, or tickled him. Meanwhile, his grandma never did or said a thing. I thought moving Henry would help. Nope, the kid just reached across me to get at Henry.
The ceremony was nice. The speaker was great. The first thing she said to the grads was "be sure to thank your mom or dad, because you may end up moving back in." Realistic about today's economy, and ended up uplifting a the same time.
That's weird. I know I've gotten Shock Top for the beer special at the Whitecaps before (in years past).
KASA! I have never met anyone else who shares this opinion with me! I hate space travel and think it is such a waste of our country's money when life here on earth needs some improvement. If NASA would shut down, I would be thrilled.
Cool, I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.
YES! Exactly! I think that the billions of dollars that go into exploring space could be so much better used on Earth. I just don't see the value in NASA.
I'm so glad to meet you like-minded individuals.
Any before and after pics??
Glidden is giving away quarts of paint. Go here:

Be patient, I had to try a few times. Pick out your color, and they'll send it.
The tenant is asking if the pet deposit is a one time fee (regardless of how long she stays in the house) or if it is something she has to pay each year.
Gah. I don't know! Too many questions. Hehe.
Awesome, Just ordered mine.
Chymes, that's terrific. My sister's pregnant belly was the first I touched. It freaked me out!
I would say it's something she would pay yearly, but maybe you want to discount the fee if she renews.
When we rented it was always a one time fee, that we didn't not get back.
I told her we would want to do a quick walk through at the year mark just to take a look. If everything looks good (ie no doggy damage) then we would not charge her another pet deposit.
I don't see her staying more than a year, but what do I know?
We gave her the option of a one time fee or a slight raise in the monthly rent. If she chose the latter, she'd end up paying $40 more over the course of the year. I wasn't thinking long term when we gave her that option, obviously.
Just got an email from someone named Freedom.
What do you think? Man or woman?
