I was actually going to post that. And, I will say that at least I was smart enough to not post on TK that they shouldn't be getting married. I kept that to some of you who are my friends on FB.
Yep, I got de-friended. I guess I won't get any grape cupcakes. Darn. I got a lollipop instead.
Okay got the who, but still no what - yep definitely missed something.
Also I was defriended as well and wasn't even here or involved!
ETA: Since I was defriended I can go ahead and say it. Grape jello cupcakes are gross. At least make the damn things with grape juice! That has been bothering me for a week now. That is all.

Yesterday, the Knottie who was upset with the Omni came on TK asking where she should have her wedding. A lot of us commented that she be her decision. I also said that I didn't understand why she canceled everything there since there are lots of hotels in Downtown FW. Then Ms. Grape came on and was explaining further to me why the Knottie in question didn't want to have it there and that the hotel was dishonest. I just said that I didn't think it was necessarily dishonest--that you're talking about two different departments who might have very little communication between themselves.
Angela wasn't defriended and neither was Bobbileigh or Brianna and like one other person. I only know because I went and saw I was defriended and saw the mutual friends list :-p

So completely changing the subject - there is a new board on TB called Child Free: Not by Choice for women who are permanently child free either due to infertility or any other reason.
There is a thread over there now that someone posted about not understanding the need/intent for the board and calling it cliquish. I feel like if I was a woman who had failed infertility treatments and had to be child-free forever for whatever reason I would want a non-child centered place to go. I don't get what the big deal is.
What do you guys think?

I'll read it later but I can see the point. And why would you go to TB if you felt that way and were traumatized by not being able to have children? However, I wouldn't make a big deal about it. I also think that that's why we have TN. It's not child-centered.

I could only get through a few posts on your link and that second link. I think that's a bomb waiting to go off right there. If I can't have kids, I'll just stay here.
I think women that continually have miscarriages, etc. do need a support group of other women dealing with that pain.
SN: There's a baby in one of the siggy's dressed as an elephant. Holy cuteness!
ETA: Also, they were probably on TB when they tried having children without knowing they would be unable to do so. They probably made friends with other bumpies (?) in the same situation and probably wanted their own board for other women who find they are in the same situation.
I completely understand the need for it and yes we do have the nest but it is baby related and TN doesn't have that type of board. I don't find it cliquish at all. You need the support, you should be able to get it, not be ostracized.
I was interested so I went over to TK to see what all the fuss was about. McDavid Studios was my venue and I almost piped up and passed on some advice, but then decided against it due to all the drama.
I thought it was the Omni chick- glad I asked. I can roll my eyes at the right person. That makes it even more lame now that it's Kendall.
Probably smart. I am about done with TK. I can't handle this sometimes.

We're not all bad.
No I don't mean you at all! There are still people I like over there! I just mean that there are certain people who go in and dominate all the conversations and those are people I am not particularly fond of at the moment. Not directed at you at all :-)

Regarding the fb stuff and TK drama it is just stupid. I was going to comment yesterday on that same post with basically the same stuff you ladies said but by the time I saw it you already said what I would have. Deleting people off of fb and trying to call it a clean up is just stupid.
