it's only thursday

and it is only 8:35 am on thursday, to boot!

my first 5 day work week in about 3 weeks...it is kicking my a$$. how is it not saturday morning so i can sleep in?  i am exhausted.

had a rough night last night...started with watching glee from tuesday (holy.hell. i am still upset about it), got some shocking and upsetting news via the phone, made gerren then watch glee (holy.hell. again.  HE even cried.  i have seen gerren cry at funerals and that is it...) and could not sleep all night.

woke to my period.  and more rain.  and a general feeling of exhaustion and bloatiness.

in other news, are all of you good catholics ready for the rapture this weekend? (i don't mean this to be snarky, just a little good natured fun.  as the resident jew, i will be left behind this weekend with the rest of the sinners.)

  • you make me laugh!

I didn't even know about the world coming to an end this saturday until I logged into facebook this morning.  We're supposed to be going to a beer tent saturday to celebrate my 30th b-day with some friends.  Thank god there's a band playing too otherwise I'd be bored out of my mind since I can't drink now (which I'm ok with!!!)  I think that if we're at the beer tent and I see fire balls coming from the sky or anything like that, I might say "f it" and go get a beer.

  • I'm the complete opposite this week Shauni. I walked into the school today and thought "Holy cow, this week is flying by." So hopefully today and tomorrow will fly by for you!

I finished "The Help" yesterday. That's the fastest I've read a book in forever. It was so good. I cooked supper salmon and veggies for me and steak, veggies and mac/cheese for Jeremy. Then we went to Target, Petco and Ross and just walked around and looked. We picked out Cooper's (we're getting the pup tonight!!!) kennel and we're going back tonight to get him some food and toys so they'll be all ready when he gets here. I'm so excited. I'll see if I can't figure out how to PIP.

As for the rapture, I thought I was a good Catholic but apparently not since I had no idea about this. I did just google and apparently this guy did this whole mathematical thing as to why it's this Saturday. Whatever. He was wrong back in 1994. This Saturday I will be at my BFF's rehearsal dinner, it's my sister & BIL's 1st wedding anniversary and I will be hanging out with old friends.

Edit: PIP (sorry it's so big, there's three in there but he's the one up front on far right)

Moleson- If I see a big fire ball I am also going to say f it and have a beer.

My coworkers (well 1) really pisses me off. You assistant is off today you ask if there is a sub for you I'm not gonna lie and say that there is when we have no subs. Do not beitch at me. ugghh.. I really diss like people some times.

We won trivia last night which was very exciting!

Boo Greg just informed me that is direct deposit has not gone through for today. I'm pretty sure it the restaurant since it's the same one that screwed me out of money this weekend. We know for a fact that since they are opening the new store the owner is out a LOT of money. All I have to say his check at work better be a real check if his direct deposit isn't thru soon.

funny story, a girl in my office jokingly said  she was waiting until after 2012 to get pregnant.  no point in wasting life if the world is going to end ;)

This is kind of how DH and I are thinking right now..

Tired again, story of my life.  I said yesterday moving was the worst thing ever.  I was wrong: moving in the RAIN is the worst thing ever.

Unpacked 6 boxes at the new house and ran a load of dishes.  Movers are coming Sunday to get the furniture.  DH and I are trying to get everything else moved before then.  Sorry for the constant biitching about moving, it's all consuming right now.

Snatchy ex-boss wrote a nastygram about me addressed to my co-worker who I'm covering for today.  Big mistake.  Big.  Huge.  I'm about to Pulp Fiction her asss.  There will be an ultimatum given by the end of this week.  Me or her.  Game over.

  • Em-I want to squeeze that puppy so bad!!  Great choice :)
  • Xtine22Xtine22 member

Oh Em-Cooper is so cute!!! It's makes me think we should have gotten another puppy instead of a baby. just kidding.

Oh and a side note- Whoo hooo I am no longer a newbie!!!

  • I second the "omg freaking adorable" comment. Puppies are omgamazing.

This morning I woke up with my doggie using my face as a pillow.   I loved it.  I love dogs.

I still hate the cat.   I swear that I might have to go see a psychiatrist soon.  I spend an inordinate amount of time wishing the thing dead.  It can't be normal.

Brew...moving blows.  I don't think anyone can't fault you for venting.

  • Brew-i hate hate hate moving.  when we moved to VT after CA, it was the sucks--let me tell you, there are no misquitos in CA.  moving in the humid summer months sucks already, to add a million bugs flying around???  and also, we are too broke for movers.  gerren and his dad had to do it all.  did i mention his dad (whom i love with all my heart) is the worlds most annoying man?
  • Ditto that moving sucks.  J complains everytime we do it and I actually have no idea why.  He is the biggest baby about it, so I have taken it upon myself to always do ALL the packing and ALL the unpacking.  All he has to do is use his muscles and truck for a day.  he's needs to get over it.

It also doesn't help that I'm the type that needs to marathon-unpack the day we move.  I like to be as settled as possible.

Good luck Brew, you can do it!!!!!! Smile  make it fun by having a drink/beer/glass of wine after every box.........or maybe everyother box otherwise you could end up smashed on the floor and only have 2 boxes unpacked.

  • shauni-i have no idea how you could move cross country.  does.not.compute.  and mr. g's dad comment made me laugh.  couple it w/ "bless his heart" and you have the textbook backhanded compliment

moleson-luckily i have not taken wine to the new house.  b/c i would be shiitfaced and probably spill on the newly cleaned carpet!

unrelated to moving, just went into my supervisor's office and lost it.  lots of F bombs, yelling, crying and big arm movements.  she talked me off the ledge (as per usual), she's so level-headed.  now i have a headache and want to go home.  but if i go home, then i have to pack.  such the conundrum...

  • It's Thursday.  I'm here.  That's it.

I will also go on the moving suck wagon. We said if we ever move back home will will sell everything and so we can fly home and not have to pack/drive/uhaul everything again.

This is also why we still rent our house that we pay WAY to much for and only now half love our house. We also have alot of thing there, ie dishwasher, washer/dyer.

  • Boxes and shots!! Great moving game :-)

I will be in sweats when I am left here with the other religions and sinners. Since everybody else is making up end of the world stories I think it's gonna end in 2033? I mean why not.

I am tired. Insomnia bad and I don't have a dr appt until the 31st.

I bought new Brooks last night and i love them!

Puppies are adorable and I want a house just so I can have a puppy.

We're not Catholic but Richard's upset because of this.  I heard about the world ending on 5/21 a few weeks back and also that the guy who predicted it said the same in 1994.  Hey, if it happens it happens, nothing I can do about it.

Em- Yes, he is freaking adorable.

Brew- Yikes about the biatch at work.

They are worse than kids! Men are absolutely horrible when sick.

  • S.H.I.T. - so happy it's Thursday.  Was so tired yesterday, just from not having enough sleep caught up to me and I was also tired of hearing people whine. And on my way home, I got pulled over for "texting while driving", I was actually looking at my work BB but still guilty as charged. I couldn't find my current insurance for the officer, he was not a d!ck which was cool and didn't cite me for my cracked windshield or proof of insurance just using a phone. totally my fault, I was mad at myself and told him thanks. So now I have a court date in August; not sure when I'll tell James about this one. Once I got home, Allie Earp and I went for a walk, which gave me a second wind and I was no longer tired. Hoping for a run this afternoon with her, have to run a quick errand during lunch and then vegging out. I'm also mad at the Sharks, they totally effed up last night.

Okay enough of my novel and I hope I'm still around after the rapture since I'm agnostic ;)

  • It is Thursday and the first day this week I have seen the sun.  BabyQ and I are heading out soon for a walk before the skies open up again.

Cannot wait for K to get home from work so I can go get a pedicure.  Desperately in need of pretty toes.  And I have my follow-up with the OB this afternoon, so hopefully we can get back in the saddle again.  6 weeks is a long.freaking.time.

    Fourth Anniversary

Yay, Thursday!  One day closer to Saturday, when I'm getting my hair did.  Stick out tongue  I've got roots for days, and have been kicking myself for weeks for not doing a partial highlight last time I got my hair cut.  Then lunch with my madre, and stopping by the fancy baby store to ogle the fancy stuff.

Shauni - Yay for being left behind!  I told H we should do a rapture party (just the two of us!), and he's like, no, we need a left behind party on Sunday.  Done and done.

Emily - OMG, that pup is adorable!  What is he?  (Sorry, I'm terrible about that.)  And I love the name Cooper.

Brew - So sorry you're still dealing with that snatch!  It's awesome your new supe is so supportive.

Leo - Bummer about your ticket, but awesome that the cop was cool about the other stuff.  Hopefully the court costs won't bump up the total too much.

Woah, woah, woah, hold on.  You have to wait SIX WEEKS post baby to get freaky again?!?!  Game over.  No babies for me.

  • ^^^ or you could disobey dr's orders and wait 2 weeks like I did ;-)

He's supposed to be a "weenie mix" but my mom just called me after she picked him up and says he looks like he has some ***/hunting dog in him. I'm hoping the vet will be able to give us a better answer tomorrow when we take him in.

  • Late check-in amigas! Today is my Friday! My new couches were delivered! MFD has rearranged the living room in an awful fashion. hahahaha. God love him.

I returned some stuff to Old Navy last night and picked up a pair of shorts, so I'm good to go on that front.

After that I headed to Jenn & Joe's for pizza and cake for Kit Kat's first birthday. MFD met me there and we stayed until about 9. We got home, I packed lunch and gym bag for today, and we moved the couches out to the front lawn, where they will sit in the fashion of Sanford and Son until trash day on Sunday.

I had to drive in today. It wasn't rageful, which was a shock. It is always a rager.

Today will be hellish, the difficult partner is complicating a proposal that needs to be done before I leave today. Still nowhere near done. I did get another proposal out this morning so pin a rose on my nose.

I have a client event tonight and my nails look crappy.
