AW Thursday

Re: AW Thursday

  • Lots of good AWs today, congrats!  Mine is house-related... last weekend we got our chairs painted for the dining room.  Here's a sneak peak of one (they're all different):

I hit 35 pounds lost last week. I am at 37 this morning.

Not sure if this can be considered AW or not, but I take my last birth control pill on Saturday...oh man.

Yeah!  I did that last month and aunt flow came with a vengence and early the first month after so just warning you.  It's great not to have to worry if you remembered to take the little pill everyday!  Good luck!

I have heard it's not fun once you go off the pill. Cramps, acne, headaches, mood swings. Hopefully it goes away after the first few months and your body gets adjusted.

I don't remember having any ill effects when I got off the pill.  But I was only off for about 4 months before I got pregnant.

  • Well I'm now remembering why I went on the pill so many years ago.  Cramps from h3ll that make me cry, ance isn't so bad anymore (one small one that went away overnight!) and its heavy the entire 6-7 days.  I'm hoping it doesn't take long to get pregnant because I'm not wanting to deal with this for a year or so.  I'm also a lot more emotional this time then I remember.  I cry at EVERYTHING!

  • Apparently I missed something. What's all this about being unfriended? I'm so lost. :(

My AW: I think the interview went really well, and it seems like a really great place to work! I also had a phone interview today for a place in Boston, and I think that one went really well also! I should know if I'm going to get a second interview for Boston in two weeks, and I should find out if I'm getting an offer for the one in NJ by the middle of next month!

It's not.  I stopped taking the pill last year and  I still have problems with my face breaking out.  I don't get headaches and it helped my mood swings.

Good job Anna! I hope you get news from both and get to have your pick of which to choose! :)

Congrats Julie and Lauren on the upcoming vacation and HM.

Congrats Leslie on the weight loss and the impending TTC! Best of luck with that.

Congrats Summer on the good grades even though you wanted even better grades. ;) BTW, what's your H's time in the Iron Man? That's is ridiculously impressive to me when people can complete those. I used to run marathons and can't imagine tacking on a swim and a bike along with them..

16 hours was his best in Florida. It's definitely a beating on your body!

Haha, no.  I'm not trying to get pregnant.  I stopped taking the pill for other reasons and we now use other forms of birth control.  :)

That's awesome.. all I can think of would be that my legs would turn into jello after the swim and bike.. Best of luck to your husband!

Don't worry buddy.  IF we ever start trying I will be sure to let you know, so we can synchronize our cycles.  Haha.  Or do whatever it is that cycle buddies do.  :)

  • Summer - So what do you do for 16 hours as a spectator?

I've never been to an event like this so I'm just curious.

Well, for IMFL I hung out on the beach, and checked on him when he transitioned from swim-bike, and bike-run. I hang out with the wife and kids of the friend he does these races with. For IMAZ, it was basically right around ASU campus and downtown Tempe, which is setup like old town shopping and restaurants. So, I chilled there for the day.

What am I going to do in The Woodlands for 16 hours? No effing idea.

It has been a few years since we have taken 45 to Houston but if I remember correctly there is a shopping center off 45 there.

Good luck to your husband.  I didn't realize they were 16 hours!   Yikes.

  • I forgot why I came on this thread: looks like it will be a bossy coworker free day tomorrow.  Weee...
