this. My parents are very loving and flexible and see them every week or so but never with a guilt trip. If we can get together we can if not no biggie.
My MIL and step-MIL really don't give two shiits. They have NEVER asked to see Ava or really gone out of their way to make any effort. I kind of get annoyed when I read people on TB OMG "my MIL won't stop calling or stopping by" I really wished that were my case but it's not. However, I guess the grass is not always greener but makes me very sad for Ava that nobody cares.

I just know that my sisters-in-law will have so much to say about my parents watching our child and spending so much time with him/her just to start trouble between us and DHs parents because that is what they like to do- start trouble.
