I don't think anything is ever truly ff - I'm surprised something like this didn't happen sooner/more often - a bunch of women over the course months/years not getting into a spat is rare. Unless there are a bunch of SSECs that keep it off the boards, I say this board is pretty lovey-dovey.

I do want to amend my post and say that I was def. not referring to anyone on this board discussing how fat they feel or weight gain in general during pregnancy. This was from IRL aquaintances/coworkers that are thinner than rails and complained all the time about getting a stretch mark and how they better be back to their PP weight before their 6wk appointment.
I have never seen anyone on this board complaining about weight gain during pregnancy. Just more as summer said being uncomfortable and surprised how much their body grew in a short amount of time.
ETA: All of you ladies have looked amazing while pregnant (and of course look great pre and post pregnancy). Meant to post this the first time, but working and nesting is not going well today.. keep getting sidetracked and forget to put things in my posts.

I agree completely with this, and I think that this was what was being implied the first time when Tania posted it.
My SIL, love her heart, is all of 100lbs, a former college athlete (volleyball) and has done NOTHING but complain about "being fat" every time I'm on the phone with her... for the past 7.5 months. It does make you want to, privately, roll your eyes after a while. She's beautiful and glowing... she's not "fat" and I know she can't help complaining right now... but I still need to vent about it to DH every other week. I'm sure she'd do the same to me, but we love each other anyway.

Um, yeah, I was just agreeing generally that that irks me. Like the woman on MFP who posted asking how to lose 5 more lbs while 20 weeks pregnant. I'm rarely on here enough to even have known if someone complained. A lot of people seem to be taking the FFCs personally when I didn't see them being meant that way. I'm sure there are things I don't like that people here do and vice versa.
After reading all the IL horrors... this is why I am glad we live so far away. Part of me is worried that moving to VA will cause some problems. My MIL has already worked out how she will be able to get from MA to VA without having to deal with NYC or DC traffic and we still have a month to go!
I also somewhat agree and see about the weight issue. We here on the board have been so supportive of eachother... and I don't think anyone here is being called out, because that is not the only thing we talk about. I have a friend too who is pregnant who literally works the weight thing into EVERY conversation we have at least 2 times... it can drive me nuts every once in a while. I know I complained (more about the swelling than the weight), but it was not my WHOLE topic of existence. We ladies... we have much more fun and exciting things to talk about than just that!
My confession... today was my last day at Harrison and contrary to others... didn't shed a single tear. I was so excited to get out of there!!!! There were some who were like... "arent' you going to miss it here/ aren't you going to miss us"? I did the diplomatic thing and said yes... but in my mind I was like "Hells to the NO!" Yes, I will miss some people terribly and my kiddos a lot, but I am free and feel like a HUGE weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

This. I've never had had trouble TTC but this still irritates me. I have to admit though, when fat girls complain - it doesn't bug me. Double standard I guess.
Question: When I first came back, I thought AE's were to protect the identity of the poster from other boards. Did I miss understand something? Are they really intended so that you can flame someone anonymously? Is the internet not anonymous enough for you?
ETA: miss understand is the same thing as misunderstand. And now you know.
