A little fun fact......Casey's BFF Annie Downing is someone who I grew up with.  I am sure at some point she will be on the stand.

Actually I was friends with her older sister, we played softball for about 10 years together.

Crazy.  Do you know Casey Anthony? (I'm sure if you did, you might have just told us, but hey...just looking for some scoop!)

wasn't she decomposed when found? would there have been lungs to examine?

I obviously don't know how far along in the decomp process she would have been when found.. but I never remember hearing anything about water being found in her lungs. Wouldn't they release that type of thing?

I seriously couldn't be on the jury of a case like this.

Yes, if I remember correctly from the prosecution's opening statement, she was too badly decomposed when they found her to determine COD. The only evidence on the body that it was foul play was the duck tape on her mouth (which obviously does not jive with the "accidental drowning" theory). Other than that, there's no way to know what happened. Since they can't say for sure how she died, I'm sure Baez is trying to sway it that they can't say for sure she was murdered.

I agree that it's way sketchy to go so far to cover up an accident. Unfortunately, it happens. You'd be shocked at the poor logic and reasoning that can go on in people's minds. (Well, maybe you wouldn't!)

I assume he was asking about knowing she was pregnant at the wedding just to make the jurors question what he says. Like, looking at that picture, there is no way to think she was just "retaining water" unless you are epically clueless. I'm sure the goal is to get jurors thinking "no way that's true" which then leads to "what else of his testimony isn't true?" It's a reach, but I assume that's what he's going for. Of course, this guy (the dad) also said he fell for a NIgerian bank scam, so it's possible he actually IS epically clueless.

Thanks.. Now I can understand why they can't say that drowning is the cause of death..

When I initially posted that I didn't understand why they were questioning COD i didn't think about the fact that she was decomposed.. Only thought of that when COP asked about the autopsy stuff..

Let's say that it comes out that caylee actually did drown, and that George Anthony did know about it- will he/could he be charged with something??

If they have enough evidence of it to bring an actual case, I don't see why not. If there are any rules/laws against it for any reason, I don't know of them.
