I wear acrilyc nails.
I can go for weeks without shaving below the belt (although I'm better now that it's warmer and I can wear skirts).
FI is in a wedding this weekend, and they're having the wedding party do the cha-cha slide instead of a bridal party dance, because of the lack of coordination of some members of the bridal party. Doesn't the cha-cha slide require a lot more coordination than swaying back and forth?
Also, I am super excited to see FI do the cha cha slide.
I'm pretty sure FMIL is going to want to have her hair and makeup done with the bridal party the day of the wedding. I'll say yes, but part of me wants it just to be me and the girls. My mom isn't even getting her hair done with us. FMIL makes me anxious and I really don't need any more anxiety that day.
Re: Wednesday Confessions/AW/UOs/Say Anythings
I'm finding that I'm so exciting about the prospect of TTC in a couple of months that it's all I want to talk about. But I don't want to be the girl who talks about nothing but babies, and I don't want to over share, and then have people asking if I'm pregnant yet. I'm trying to limit the number of people I talk about it with, especially since we're not even trying yet.
Also, MIL wants to help us out majorly with selling our house (in the form of a gift, not a loan) and while part of me wants to say yes because it really would help, part of my HATES the idea of feeling indebted to them. I'm worried when we have a kid, I'll get guilted into spending more time with them because of everything they've done for us. Does that make me a bad person?
Yeah, totally, the nails. That was it...
bwhaha.
I heart that JRM is hangin' around more.
I have multiple family obligations coming up and I do not want to go/participate in any of them. It makes me miss the days I lived in NC and had an excuse to not show up.
The Dudes birthday is in 4 days and I don't have a single idea what to get him.
My little nuggets
kernal!!! bonus to a baby and being KU it gets you out of crappy family gathering or you can leave earlier
Not at all. Don't let the guilt get to you, though. Stand your ground.
ETA: I wouldn't take the gift if I felt there were strings attached. But only you know your IL's and if they would think this gift had strings.
Confession: I flirt with my mechanic. I could go into detail but the short of the story is that my car is constantly having issues (and has for years, even before I started going to said mechanic.) He hardly ever charges me for anything. My check engine light goes on about 3 times a year due to my gas cap, he diagnoses the issue, turns off my light and I'm on my merry way-no charge. Lately, my car has been stalling while stopped and yesterday he cleaned out the throttle on the car and told me to drive it for a couple of days. He said that if the problem stopped, to come back and it'd be $30 and if it was still acting up, he'd try something else. DH knows and is completely on board with my "the mechanic thinks I'm hot" discount. The mechanics wife, yup-he's married and she sometimes works the office, does not appear to be as thrilled with the way he interacts with me.
Not going to lie, I'm a little ashamed.
I promise I'm not some hippie. I'm just straight up lazy. And I love that you're posting more!
Kernal- go to Capone's or The Beer Store and get him a bunch of different beers. That's what I did for FI dor Christmas and it was a hit. It's my go-to present.
I flirt with mechanic (DH) too.. Don't worry your are not the only one. DH comes home with numbers and candy quite a bit from the job. Car crap is expensive... Do what you can.
It also makes you hang 'round the nest more.
WAIT WHAT?
JRM- be still my heart. Are you with child?!?!?!
yeah, so Tammy - about that bet we made...
Me too
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you and Mr. JRM!!!! You guys wil lbe the awesomest parents!!!
Details lady! We want details! Well, baby details anyway. Due date, etc. You need a ticker!
congrats JRM!
This is even more exciting than Kim Kardashian's engagement.
What a great day!
We've had so many. LOL It started with my 2nd, then that I would have my 3rd before you. haha. Now I'm on my 4th. Will your little one be making it's debut before or after? Either way, I owe you a few drinks in a few months. It will be our first pp gtg.
Do the tickers come in a "XX weeks until this kid gets expelled" variety" I'd like one of those.
They tell me I'm due 11/9. But MrJRM has already tried to negotiate an 11/11/11 birthday so we can have THAT kid born on the triple digits date thingy.
So techically, Tam, I still won our bet!
1. I'm flattered you all care so much. It makes me blush!
2. ITS ABOUT TIME YOU FINALLY OUT YOURSELF!!! GAH!! I couldn't take it any longer that NO ONE was picking up on all the hints you were dropping.
My little nuggets
Great great news. This is one bet I am happy to lose. I am peeing my pants excited for you guys. Best wishes for a happy and healthy 9 months!
I assure you there will be any number of people in your various pre-baby classes who are working on scheduled c-section or inductions in order to achieve that birthdate.
The 10/10/10ers were in full effect last year.
Thank God Amy is quick witted because I read it and then kept reading. haha. It's been a long day and it's only lunch time.
