A Question about the Casey Anthony trial.
Re: A Question about the Casey Anthony trial.
I was just thinking the same thing. They question them so heavily. I would be terrified.
Does the prosecution/defense already know the answers to the questions they are asking?
do they get to talk to the witnesses before hand?
I have NO clue how any of this works. I've never stepped foot in a courtroom.
uhm yes. he is a dirt bag for sure. or comes off as a total dirtbag
Yes. If the prosecution is calling the witness, they already know what questions they want to ask and generally what the witness will say. They have discussed what the witness will testify to.
However, they don't know what the witness will be asked on cross-examination.

That makes sense.
My guess is that they are trying to make Casey look more like a victim than a cold blooded killer.
I also feel like I need to follow up everything I say with "I find her guilty your honor"
I think the angle they're going for is that this explains why she would lie and try to cover up her daughter's accidental drowning - she has been taught her whole life to cover up what is really going on in the family, keep things quiet, lie, and pretend like nothing's wrong. Plus, if they're sticking with the argument that the dad knew about it too and did so much to cover it up, it gives him more motivation to do so - he might have been afraid reporting even an accidental death would lead to family investigation, which might bring out the abuse and get him in real trouble.
I'm not saying it's a good theory, but that was how I interpreted the connection they're going for.

Hmmm, interesting! Didn't think of it that way. So I would imagine mom will definitely get called to the stand and be raked over the coals as to whether she knew about the alleged abuse and cover ups, etc since she's the one that called the cops about Caylee missing. Maybe I'm wrong here, don't know what they'll do but I can't imagine her not taking the stand.
They want to work Memorial Day
They want to work Memorial Day
weirdos. but there is really no point for them to be off; it's not like they can see their family.
Or read a newspaper, watch television or use the internet
oh yah. or that.
I would have to fake a mental illness if I was asked to be on a jury like this. I couldn't do it.
Why does the defense object to every single piece of evidence the prosecutor has. Is this going to go on the entire trial?
A surveillance video from blockbuster. What's to object?
Yeah, it's annoying, but I guess that is what a defense attorney has to do. Not sure why either.

"did she buy any duct tape there at the Blockbuster?"
Man, this guy just rubs me the wrong way. The hair on my arms stands up.
lol.
Did she look at the guns in the sporting goods section @ Jcpenney.. y'know, cuz they sell guns @ penney's
ha! Did you hear Anthony just say she "could have" broken the lock but she is a girl so it was better that he did it? and she rolled her eyes. This is not supposed to be funny I just laughed out loud.
We need to have a daily Casey Anthony trial thread I think.
I didn't see her response, but I thought the question was stupid. How is he supposed to know if she could break the lock on her own or not. and what the heck does her weight have to do w/ anything.
I think it was a stupid question by the defense. If she could break the lock, she could stuff her child in the bag and kill her. I don't know. Not sure where he was going. But the "she is a girl" comment was stupid.
Yes, daily Casey Anthony thread for sure.
Oh man, 20 more minutes.... Okay, coming back tomorrow.
The defense is so unorganized. Is he a public defender?

I missed the end today.
No, not a public defender. I believe he was hired by her family. (I think).
Yes! A daily CA thread is a must! However I won't be posting tomorrow during the day since I will be baby sitting my friends baby at her house. I don't feel comfortable using their computer to chat about CA, LOL!
But I will be here on Friday
I will be sooooo pissed if Cindy Anthony testifies tomorrow and I am not here to discuss! Maybe I can figure out how to post on my phone if that's the case.
