I am watching (but not listening to Today--something's wrong obviously), but they just did a feature on the kid whose parents aren't sharing the gender. The baby looked like a boy to me but that's not always a great indicator.
Re: Thursday Chit-Chat
I thought the baby looked like a boy too, but at that age it is so hard to tell!! Once the baby gets a little older it should be pretty obvious to people...
I am all about loving people for who they are, regardless of gender or sex affiliation...but I'm not to keen on using your child as a social experiment!
It seems to me they are doing this more for publicity than so that the child doesn't have to be "labelled" by society

I agree... I thought boy too.
I worked out yesterday for the first time since... I don't know when. I spent 1.5 hours at my apartment gym.
My body hates me today.

That's awesome!! Eventually you will love it (I promise)
It soon turns into a nice hour to spend ALONE

I haven't been sore yet (knock on wood) and I am by no means a regular at working out. In two weeks though, I may be complaining. I've decided that, so long as I am in town, I'm going to work out for two hours every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday morning. Wednesday's are pool party days at a friend's house.
I think I am ready for this school year to be over, not because of the kids, but because of the adults and paperwork.
No! That's impossible! :-p

It's VERY impossible! I've been in meetings all day.
Lacey - did you see that Julie is going to come join us for lunch one day soon?

I don't have anything further to comment on about the gender issue. I gave my opinion in the other thread a few days ago.
Brianna, seriously if you lose 15lbs you'll look anorexic. Are you kidding!? You look great now!
When I was AZ and ate organic for 4 straight days, it was the best I have EVER felt. So my new thing is to try and eat as clean as possible and get rid of as many chemicals as possible. I have stopped Claritin and even though I am sneezing like crazy, I think it's worth it. I already see a difference in my energy. I'm eating more fruit and veggies and so far haven't had a diet soda all week. I'm not going to go crazy with it but I am going to try and do the things I know I can live with (like not eating Oreos at night!)
My stomach has been a little upset though--this always happen when I try and eat better!
With All the Trimmings
Just do it!
Brianna - I saw that. When and where?
I wish I had oreos right now!
Psh, thanks for the invite.
Me too! I love oreos!

Summer - It's not the weight persay that I am concerned with... it's just the general out of shapness, and the way I've gotten soft in the stomach/love handle area. I'm just not happy with my body and want it to be a little more fit. I used to play sports so I didn't have an issue, but now I just need to do something to keep myself in shape.
And you're invited to lunch too! Are you going to drive out here to Plano?
Bio
Ah, I see. Well I bet you'll get in shape just in time for baby #2.
Bahah. jk
I would love to drive to Plano to meet y'all. If y'all do lunch next week I could definitely join any day, any time. After next week it'll have to be a Friday because those are the only days I don't have class.
I have to put this on a cake in three days and haven't even thought about how I am going to do it. Maybe I should make some sort of plan tonight.
Stephie - I understand completely. I feel so light when I eat clean, then I eat something like Oreos and I feel blah.
Anytime that we have someone rated above a 3 which is average we have to justify it but I have already done this with 2 of the people on my team. If they do above average work then I should take the time to go to bat for them.
Kathy - I saw this and thought of you:
Gender Cake Surprise
Me 3!! They are my weakness!
So I spent all day yesterday cleaning out everything in our entire apartment. Closets, cabinets, drawers, under the bed, filing cabinets, etc. I organized everything and ended up with about 12 bags of just crap and trash that was thrown away, or is being sold at my parents garage sale this weekend.
It feels so good to be organized and I had no idea how much sh!t we had that I didn't even realize we had. Now I can actually see everything in our cabinets without having to dig, and it's organized. We had pills in the medicine cabinet from 2005! Well, DH did. We weren't even together in 2005. And there were cleaning supplies shoved so far back in my cabinet under the sink that were unopened, I've been wasting money buying new stuff at the store because I didn't know it was back there!
Feels so good to know our apartment is completely and 100% de-cluttered now. It's going to make moving so much easier when that time comes.
This should probably go in the AW thread. Oh well. It's here. Deal with it.
Definitely a cute idea.
But I'm surprised it's in the news like that. It's not exactly a new idea or anything. People have been doing this for a while.
That's awesome! I really need to do this. Especially in our guest room that has turned into a junk and leftover wedding stuff room!

It was pretty overwhelming at first. But I just took it room by room. It's more about dedicating the time to do it. It really did take me all day, with a few breaks here and there.

Exactly! One thing at a time is the best way to go!
I think part of the laziness, if you will, is that we haven't been getting raises since they instituted this and won't be this year so what does it matter? I think that is their mind frame. I'm also a little worried how much the drama with the CW will impact this.
