incontinence surgery
i'm not sure exactly what it's called, i think they put a sling by your bladder or something like that?
but i'm wondering if anyone knows anyone (a mom, aunt, etc) that has had this surgery in the monmouth county area & could make a good doctor referral?
it's for my mom & it seems like the kind of thing that no one talks about so she has no one to ask. she doesn't want to just pick a surgeon out of the directory.
any help/info/recommendations/etc would be GREATLY appreciated! thanks

I had the sling done about two years ago. The surgery was good, it was an easy recovery I didn't need any pain medication just Advil You just can't lift anything heavy, bend for a week to two weeks. They made two incisions on either side of my groin. There were no stitches, just surgical tape. I am much better now, no incontinence problems. I also have interstial cystitis and they treated me for that at the same time.
My Dr is Dr. Yitzhak Berger, in West Orange who is too far away from you, but he is an awesome urologist.

Dr. Fabricant in Neptune. Hands down best surgeon around for that procedure. I've had extensive surgery from him. My friends mom had the sling done by him and is super happy.
Recovery is a day or two in the hospital. You're a little sore but up and about relatively quickly.
I had my surgery at Jersey Shore in 2008 with Dr. Fabricant. My friends mom had it done last year at Jersey Shore with Fabricant.
is dr. fabricant a GYN? that's the name of my mom's gyn that used to be an OB & delivered us. i thought he retired, i wonder if your dr fabricant is a relative? do you have his number?

Hi. Dr. Fabricant is a GYN but he's still on the younger side. I'd say 40's.
He is on Rt. 33 in Neptune / across the street for Jersey Shore Univ. Medic. Ctr.
