Where were you in life 10 years ago? Ten years ago, I was 18 going on 19. I was transitioning from HS to college. I was out buying stuff for my dorm, with my many lists making sure I had everything I needed to survive on my 'own'. I was also waitressing - trying to save money for college. I didn't have a boyfriend.
Describe your worst date ever. My date got plastered and threw up all over my car. It wasn't really a date, though. He was my boyfriend at the time. It was disgusting.
Do you have any weird food combos? I like pickles and popcorn. Is that weird? Cucumbers and lime juice. Cheese Doritos and lemon juice.

Best/Worst thing that happened this week. Oops, I missed this one. We've hung out with different sets of friends almost every night this week. I love hanging out with friends and being social.
Where were you 10 years ago: hmm, I was 16. A sophomore or junior in hs. Hating school and life. Dating assholes. Friends with shitty people.
Describe your worst date ever: Easy! This blind date I went on in 2009 before DH and I got together. My friend set me up with this guy. All he did was talk about himself ALL NIGHT. Oh, and stare at my rack.
Weird food combos: Mac-n-cheese and ketchup!!
OH, Lacey that reminds me of another worst date. In about 05, I was on a break from my bf and went out with this guy who got wasted and started yelling at people and picking fights, and I had to control him, steal his credit cards because he was buying the whole bar drinks, and drive him home. Then he puked in the parking lot.
I changed my mind. That one wins.

Best - leaving for SF tomorrow. That's still this week
Worst - found out my sister's dog has stage 4 Lymphoma. We dog sit all the time so I feel like she's ours. So sad for her and for my sister's family.
Where were you in life 10 years ago? I was here in Dallas climbing the corporate ladder. I can't believe I'm still on the same ladder! Had a BF in Memphis going to Optometry school. Glad that didn't work out!
Describe your worst date ever. A guy I had been friends with for a while and liked asked me out. He took me to one of the nicer restaurants in Bryan/CS. Everything was great until the waiter walked up and turns out it was a guy I had gone out with a few weeks before and had no interest in. Awkward. He probably spit in my food since at the end of the date I thanked him and couldn't get out of the car fast enough. Totally avoiding the end of date kiss.
Do you have any weird food combos? hmm, well I only eat 1 food at time and I hate my food to touch. Not really a combo but kind of weird.
Best/Worst thing that happened this week. Best: I reconciled with my BFF. Worst: I ate really bad and missed a couple of workouts.
Where were you in life 10 years ago? I was about to switch jobs and go through my divorce from my ex-husband--although I didn't know either quite yet.
Describe your worst date ever. I went to the Margarita Ball with a good friend of mine. I thought it was an actual date but found out at the end of the night he thought we were just friends.
Do you have any weird food combos? I don't think so. I put ketchup on fried okra which some people think is weird.

Where were you 10 years ago: I was 15 about to be 16 just graduated my sophomore year in HS. I had just gotten my first car in April and thought no one could tell me what to do. I was going out 5-6 nights a week and drinking almost all of them then going into work hung over. I was a real winner.
Describe your worst date ever: Sadly my first date ever was with Matt. I didnt really date anyone I more or less just went out and hooked up with whoever I wanted. I started getting serious with Matt around 18ish and stopped all that hoopla and just waited for him.
Weird food combos: Green smoothies!! I love almost anything sweet and salty, salted caramel, fries and ice cream but thats about it.

Where were you in life 10 years ago? Graduating from SMU at 21 years old and getting ready to move to Fort Worth to work at Lockheed Martin because the defense industry was the only one hiring computer engineer majors at that time ( telecom bust).
Describe your worst date ever. I went on a blind date to La Madeleine in Addison with a guy who had already ordered his food and had started eating when I got there a few min early too! I should've just left but I was in shock, so I went and got my food. When I came back, he was already done eating most of his food. I had gotten a tiny cup of soup to make it short, and during those few minutes of sitting there with him ( maybe 20-30 min), all he did was talk about his PHD and never asked me anything about me. I quickly tried to end it and said I had to go; he continued to call me for a few weeks after that; it was the weirdest and worst date I ever went on.
Do you have any weird food combos? I put yogurt on just about anything.

Best - Got to hear the baby's heartbeat at my appointment yesterday.

Best/Worst thing that happened this week. Best: My company took us to Top Golf on Wednesday and it was really fun actually! Worst: I quit drinking soda, and now I have headaches sometimes. I've been trying to drink coffee some to make up for the caffeine.
Where were you in life 10 years ago? I was going into my senior year of high school.
Describe your worst date ever. Creepy-McCreeperson... this guy looked at a book (I swear he did) about how to impress a girl on the first date... but it was all uber creepy stuff. For instance, I said we would meet at a random place and go from there... HE FOUND MY APARTMENT by googling me and "surprised me." Yeah, that was surprise. How he did it? I opened the door to roses on the porch with a note that said, "you look beautiful right now." I was so creeped out because I felt like someone was staring at me at that very moment... he got out of his car with a huge smile asking if I was surprised and happy to see him. I seriously wanted to turn around and cancel the date. Alas, I went along. At dinner, he asked what I was having, just striking up casual conversation. When the waitress came up to take our order, he boasted "I'm ordering for my woman." Um, wtf?! Your woman?! During dinner, he mentioned taking me to a movie... but only the theatres where the middle arm rest came up so we could "cuddle". I was soooo oogied out by the end of dinner, I just asked to go home. I never talked to him again. I get what he was trying to do... but he did it WRONG.
Do you have any weird food combos? Mac & Cheese with Ranch Style Beans. It was a college fav, and I still do it.

Best/worst thing to happen to you this week. Best - Um, I got a $115 gift card in the mail from a Verizon rebate which resulted in me getting blinds for our bedroom, a new sprinkler, and a citronella candle (those dang mosquitos) and breakfast for free!! Worst - My office all had Maggianos yesterday and no one told me about it.
Where were you in life 10 years ago? Summer before Senior year in HS. I was dating a guy that I ended up dating for several years that I'm so glad I didn't marry.
Describe your worst date ever. Um... I don't really have one that was that bad. Plenty of awkward ones, but not really bad.
Do you have any weird food combos? Chick Fil A chicken nuggets and their light mayonaise.

Best: DH came home for the week. Worst: I had to go to the dentist and the shots hurt more than usual this time.

I had just turned 16 years old, was going to HS, dating DH, drill team...that's about it. The simple life of a teenager.
Describe your worst date ever.
I went on a blind date with someone that my sister and best friend didn't know and they decided to go to the restaurant we were having dinner at "to make sure he wasn't a serial killer" and then he saw them and recognized my sister from the pictures on my myspace (ha!) and I think that totally weirded him out! I had no idea they were going to be there. I was pretty embarrassed.

Not really, I like to dip my french fries in my frosty from Wendy's but I think that's fairly common.

I was 14 so I was a freshman in high school. I didn't have a boyfriend at the time and can't really remember much else about this time.

I went out with this guy who I ended up having no interest in and he was just creepy because he stared at me the entire time and kept trying to touch me and I just wanted to get away from him.

I like pickles and mustard. On sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, or just dipping the hamburger sliced pickles in mustard to eat. Yum.While I was in Amsterdam, everyone eats their french fries with mayo. It was interesting, and I did it b/c I was there, but I'll take ketchup with my fries any day.

Instead of best/worst, I will give you my bittersweet. My sister, BIL and nephew moved out last weekend. On one hand, I am glad to have my house back. On the other hand, I am pretty sad. I miss them, especially my nephew. It was really sweet to see him so often.
Where were you in life 10 years ago?
I was about to turn 21. I was a junior in college, living with my bestie in our sorority house and living such a fun life! My college days were some of my best. I have blogged about and stand by this fact from my ealy 20's: I am blessed that there was no You Tube, social networking sites or camera phones!!!
Describe your worst date ever.
I don't really have any nightmare stories. Like everyone else, I dated/hooked up with some jerks, but I think that is part of the drill. I will be very honest and admit I was also a jerk to some really decent guys and had my hand in causing some awkwardly memorable moments on dates!

I don't think so. I used to be a big Ranch dressing dipper, but I have tried to ease up.
Bleh! I hate mayo in general, so I'm biased.
Summer- My DH and I were having lunch at Rosa's last Monday. There was a girl at the salsa bar filling little cups with diced onions. I thought about you and how disgusted you would be!

Best - Got a late wedding gift delivered (it's been a pretty lame week). Worst - Took Gypsy to the vet - she has benign lumps that need to be removed. $500 for surgery
Where were you in life 10 years ago? I was 17, just graduated from high school (wow it's been 10 years) and was "enjoying" my summer in the heat working for American Airlines before going to A&M
Describe your worst date: The date wasn't too bad, but I later found out that he's now in jail (dated and had sex with a girl under the age of 18).
Weird food combos: Not really any, I used to think DH was weird for adding a little milk to his bowl of ice cream, but I started doing it so it's not too weird anymore.

Best/worst thing to happen to you this week: Best-We got the house 98% finished with the remodeling we have been doing. Worst- SD broke her arm and will be in a non-waterproof cast a good majority of the summer.
Where were you in life 10 years ago? 10 years ago today I was graduating HS. I was about to leave for a 2 week mission trip and then another mission trip shortly after all while trying to get ready for college. I think the summer before college was one of the best summers I had!
Descibe your worst date ever. I said yes to dinner with what I thought was only a friend but he thought it was more. He came to pick me up at my house, we drove the hour it took to get to Dallas in complete silence, went to some show that was forever long and he kept trying to put his arm around me and hold my hand. After the show he took me back to his house to meet his family. After that I said I was ready to go home and he said "oh I thought you could stay here tonight. I had my mom pick you up some night clothes and a toothbrush". REALLY! I had no idea what to do. I was freaked out. I had no idea where I was to call anybody, no car and an entire family waiting for me to say ok. I just said that I could stay the night because of my dog and begged him to take me home. Very talked to him again.
Weird food combos: The only thing I can think of is the Frosty and french fries. I put peanut M&Ms in my popcorn. Is that weird?
Best/Worst thing that happened this week.
Best: This week has been a little crummy so the best I can do is that "Little Couple" came back on. Oh and it was a 4 day work week and the aura, lol, is very great today in the office because of someone's absence.
Worst: Got thrown under the bus by my boss after doing what he asked me to do in the first place; DH was completely surprised that his flakey friend was going to bail on getting together tonight. Don't get why he was surprised as he does this every time but he was pissed this time.

I just finished up my freshmen year of HS and I think we moved that summer or that fall.

I wouldn't qualify it as the worst date ever but our first date was really awkward with the silences. We had no trouble talking before it was deemed a date.

Popcorn and M&M's, it depends on where the chicken strips come from but chicken strips and honey. I'm sure I have others, I just can't think of them right now.
I wrapped my arm in a bread bag when I bathed and a fly swatter made the best scratching mechanism known to man.
I have never heard nor seen fries with ice cream before last week when a guy we were eating with was doing it. No way could I do it with mayo.
