Sooooo, we had her 18 month appt today. Poor thing has a double ear infection. I feel like such a bad momma. All her signs really pushed towards teeth. We need to go back in two weeks to check her ears and two months for a weight check. Her busy body self isn't gaining as much weight as we'd like. 18 pounds 14 oz...she's falling farther away from the chart. Lots of peanut butter, avocado and hummus coming her way!
Stupid ears....
Re: abby update
My sister did this with Cate. She thought it was just a runny nose and it was a sinus infection and bronchitis. I think all mommies do things like that.
I can't believe how little she is! Abe weighs more thans he does! Abby...have a cupcake!
Helen had an ear infection at her one year checkup. I had no idea.
We had Helen's 3 year checkup today and she's actually moving up the growth chart! She's up to 30 lbs. and 36.5 inches.
Poor Abby!!! You would have never known the other afternoon.
On the weight.... oops, as her giant boyfriend ate all her snack
Aw man, try not to be too hard on yourself, it's so hard to know what's going on when they can't communicate well!
I'm right there with you on the weight concerns - Lily went from 50th percentile at 6 months to 7th percentile at her one year. We are hoping it's just because her dad is small (his weight was similar), so her pedi isn't suggesting we do anything at this point except "watch it." But, as I've mentioned on here before, she is not a good eater!
Thanks gals - here were her specific stats:
18 months vs 15 months.
Weight: 18.14 vs 18.4 pound
Length: 30 1/2" vs 30 1/4"
Head circumference: 46cm vs 45 cm
And, Megan, I like your train of thought! I'm trying to cut out calories now!!! Too bad I couldn't suck out my left and right buttock to give it to her :-) I'll have to try the CIB. Someone else also suggested adding protein powder. We're going to try it all!
