Ring Survey

Do you wear your wedding rings every time you leave the house?

Do you take them off when you get home, or only to do certain things like showering/cooking/sleeping?

Do you have an E-ring and a band, or just one?

If you have both, do you have them soldered together or separate?

Do you plan on adding another band for an upcoming anniversary in the future, or do you plan to keep your set the way it is?

Does your DH wear his wedding ring all the time?

Re: Ring Survey

  • Do you wear your wedding rings every time you leave the house? Yes, I hate when I forget it.

Do you take them off when you get home, or only to do certain things like showering/cooking/sleeping? just to shower

Do you have an E-ring and a band, or just one? just and E-ring.

If you have both, do you have them soldered together or separate? n/a

Do you plan on adding another band for an upcoming anniversary in the future, or do you plan to keep your set the way it is? Keep it the way it is.  A band wont fit with mine.

Does you DH wear his wedding ring all the time? He better! LOL Hmm

  • Do you wear your wedding rings every time you leave the house? Unless I'm going to workout, or going to the pool or something like that.

Do you take them off when you get home, or only to do certain things like showering/cooking/sleeping? I take them off when I get home and put them in the little heart-shaped dish I have in the bathroom. It's the first thing I do after I change clothes. It's the first thing I do when I get home, and the last thing I put on before I leave the house.

Do you have an E-ring and a band, or just one? Both

If you have both, do you have them soldered together or separate? Separate, because I like wearing the band by itself sometimes.

Do you plan on adding another band for an upcoming anniversary in the future, or do you plan to keep your set the way it is? Maybe one day, haven't decided. My E-ring is pretty thick, and has a lot of diamonds, and my band has diamonds. I don't want it to look too gaudy.

Does your DH wear his wedding ring all the time? He takes his off when he gets home too, and puts it in the same place. But he wears it every time he leaves the house unless he's going to work out, or work with his hands in some way.

Do you wear your wedding rings every time you leave the house? Almost.  Only time I don't is if I'm going to be exercising.  My fingers have been swelling like crazy in this heat.

Do you take them off when you get home, or only to do certain things like showering/cooking/sleeping? I take them off to shower, sleep, exercise or dirty things like yardwrork.

Do you have an E-ring and a band, or just one? both

If you have both, do you have them soldered together or separate? seperate now, but thinking of getting them soldered together.  I will never wear the band without the e-ring, as it has a cutout and would look funny.  Since mine is white gold, I'm going to have to get it Rhodium plated soon.  Mine is turning quite yellow and it hasn't even been a year! (got it done the week before out wedding last time) So I may get it soldered and plated all at once.  OR switch to platinum bands.

Do you plan on adding another band for an upcoming anniversary in the future, or do you plan to keep your set the way it is?  I'm hoping for a 1 yr anniversary band, but if not, sometime in the future.

Does your DH wear his wedding ring all the time? always.  except for hockey.

  • Do you wear your wedding rings every time you leave the house?  I only take my rings off to shower or wash dishes.

Do you have an E-ring and a band, or just one?  Both.

If you have both, do you have them soldered together or separate?  Separate

Do you plan on adding another band for an upcoming anniversary in the future, or do you plan to keep your set the way it is?  I want another band just like my wedding band to go above my E-ring.  I have already hinted at this.  But it's probably not going to ever happen.  My bands are expensive.

Does your DH wear his wedding ring all the time?  Yep.  He never takes it off, even to shower.

  • Do you wear your wedding rings every time you leave the house? Yes I feel naked without them on

Do you take them off when you get home, or only to do certain things like showering/cooking/sleeping? Only if I'm painting or doing something that will get them really dirty

Do you have an E-ring and a band, or just one? Both

If you have both, do you have them soldered together or separate?  No but thinking about getting it done when I send them to get redipped

Do you plan on adding another band for an upcoming anniversary in the future, or do you plan to keep your set the way it is? Not that I know of

Does your DH wear his wedding ring all the time?  Yep he said it feels weird to not have it on!

I was told it would probably need to be re-plated with Rhodium every 6 months, depending on how much you wear it. So, that's about normal Michelle.

Since I only wear mine when I leave the house, mine has stayed pretty white, but if you wear yours all the time I think that's pretty typical for it to turn yellow already.

  • Do you wear your wedding rings every time you leave the house?

99% of the time, yes.  A couple of weekends ago we both forgot (I saw that he wasn't wearing his so I didn't feel bad only to find out he saw that I didn't have mine on so he didn't feel bad) and he said "it's like we are GF/BF again, don't tell my wife!"

Do you take them off when you get home, or only to do certain things like showering/cooking/sleeping?

They pretty much come off when we get home and if they don't I'll take them off before we go to bed.  I don't like wearing them when water is involved, or icky stuff or raw meat so I wear them a lot less than the average person I think.

Do you have an E-ring and a band, or just one?

I have an e-ring and band.

If you have both, do you have them soldered together or separate?

Right now they are separate but I have thought about soldering them together and just haven't gotten to that point.

Do you plan on adding another band for an upcoming anniversary in the future, or do you plan to keep your set the way it is?

Another band would be too much for me, which disappoints DH because it's an easy gift, LOL.

Does your DH wear his wedding ring all the time?

    We are about the same.

Yup!  I got mine dipped right before the wedding and it is definitely time to send it off again!

Does your DH wear his wedding ring all the time?  Yes, he only takes it off to work out and to shower.

  • Do you wear your wedding rings every time you leave the house?  Most of the time.  My fingers like to swell a lot during the summer and, uh, other times so sometimes I don't wear them because I don't want to take them off and then leave them somewhere.

Do you take them off when you get home, or only to do certain things like showering/cooking/sleeping?  I take them off once I get home.

Do you have an E-ring and a band, or just one?  I have one of each.

If you have both, do you have them soldered together or separate?  Separate.  I kind of talked my way into my band with baby diamonds because I could wear it alone and still have something nice without wearing the solitaire.

Do you plan on adding another band for an upcoming anniversary in the future, or do you plan to keep your set the way it is?  As long as Bill likes it, it will stay the same.  Once he decides to upgrade me, well, I don't know that I would say no.  However, that won't happen until about another 8 years down the road.  He's said ten a lot.

Does your DH wear his wedding ring all the time?  Yeah, I think he got his a little too small because he can't really take it off (or his Aggie ring for that matter).

    I'm the same way.

I see women at the pool that have theirs on and that's odd to me. I wouldn't think chlorine would be good on fine jewelery. And getting them all grimy with sunscreen. Ew. But, what do I know.

If you have both, do you have them soldered together or separate? They are separate

Do you plan on adding another band for an upcoming anniversary in the future, or do you plan to keep your set the way it is? I hadn't really thought about it, but probably not

  • Do you wear your wedding rings every time you leave the house?  No.  I wear it every day to work, but if I run to the store or something on an early Sunday morning (think roll out of bed and go), I don't stop to put it on.  ***Your girls are so good.  You must think I am an awful wife!***

Do you take them off when you get home, or only to do certain things like showering/cooking/sleeping? I take them off as soon as I get home in the evenings and rarely put it back on until the next morning.

Do you have an E-ring and a band, or just one? Both.

If you have both, do you have them soldered together or separate?  Separate.  There is not a band to go with my E-ring and we just chose a plain thin white gold band for me to wear for "fit" purposes.  I have old lady fingers (thin with larger knuckles) and the band, worn in front (which I know isn't "right") keeps my E-ring in place.  When it is cold, I usually only wear the band.

Do you plan on adding another band for an upcoming anniversary in the future, or do you plan to keep your set the way it is? I would like a thin band with diamonds, but I would not wear it with the two I already wear.  I would wear it as more of a fancier substitute.  I am not much of a jewlery wearer.

Does your DH wear his wedding ring all the time?  His answer would be the same as mine above.

Do you wear your wedding rings every time you leave the house? Yes

Do you take them off when you get home, or only to do certain things like showering/cooking/sleeping? Yes, when taking a shower, sometimes cooking (depending what I'm cooking) yes, when giving the dogs a bath, sometimes when cleaning)

Do you have an E-ring and a band, or just one? E-ring and band

If you have both, do you have them soldered together or separate?  I did, but I kept loosing diamonds from my e-ring, so I had it undone, so I wouldn't be without a ring when a diamond would fall out. Since we got a new E-ring, and not had any problems, but haven't and don't plan on soldering them back together.

Do you plan on adding another band for an upcoming anniversary in the future, or do you plan to keep your set the way it is? I really want a second wedding band for the other side. I hope soon, so they still have the same band!

Does your DH wear his wedding ring all the time?  Yep, I don't think he has taken it off since it went on his finger!
