This week has seemed SO slow!
Weekend plans?
Re: TGIF!
I am picking my mom up from the airport at 10:30.. then we are headed to the Farmers Market, mani/pedi's, finding a dress for me to wear to my shower Sunday, and then massages.
Justin's Granny, Pop, Aunt, Cousin, Sister, and BIL get in town this evening. We are having a Low Country Boil at the house tomorrow.
Sunday is my shower and hopefully some relaxing by the pool.
I actually just emailed you about the Farmer's Market... but I got your Out of Office. I think I'm going to swing by there during lunch & pick some stuff up.
Enjoy your shower this weekend!
still trying to decide what we'll do with my sister here. no clue...
i am going to go for a jog tomorrow morning as the low is 67* tonight!
We can go next week. I plan on making it a weekly thing.
Thank you!
Sounds like a great weekend, jacmdb!
Tonight, we are going to Pottery Barn Kids to buy the sheets for the crib and Lowes to pick out an over the stove microwave, fridge, oven, and kitchen faucet. And paint for the kitchen/dr/lr/hallway/foyer.
Tomorrow, I'm getting my hair cut and we are going to clean out our 2 spare rooms, so that one can be the nursery.
Sunday, we are painting our kitchen and dining room.
You rock Miss "I'm 33 weeks pregnant & going for a jog!" I really hope I can keep going with all of my running when I finally decide to have kids. That's awesome. Enjoy!
It actually hasn't been this way at all. I was so sick until 20 weeks I didn't exercise at all. Then since week 20 I've been power walking on an incline on the treadmill for 30-60 minutes a day with a little strength training and yoga mixed in. It wasn't until I was in Cincinnati on my favorite trail that I decided to give jogging a go, and it was glorious! I got in 3 wonderful runs on the trail in that week, so we'll see how it pans out back in Florida. I could be a failboat tomorrow morning
Tonight we're going to our storage unit to get our washer/dryer, couch and hopefully as much other stuff as we can. I'm starting to go a little crazy without furniture.
Tomorrow I'm doing more stuff around the house during the day (painting, etc.) and then Saturday night I'm going to a wedding at WGV. My friend and her BF broke up a few days ago and I know the bride so she told my friend to invite me as her date since the spot is already paid for, we used to hang out and I live nearby. I'm pretty excited since it should be a fun night and I need to get out.
Sunday I'm hoping to do more painting but if I'm hungover then I'll just spend the day by the pool. DH has a ton of homework/studying to do this weekend so he'll be pretty busy.
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?

Is it you or DH working on the ceiling fan installation? If it's DH, you have to time him and post a status update on how it's going. It's our new policy.
Did you guys vote on this while I was gone?? Either way, I'm for it! lol
Saturday: Cleaning, shopping, pool and hoping to make a HD trip for some DIY stuff. I may swing by Garden Ridge to see if they have any planters left. I heard they are going out of business.
Sunday: Relaxing in the morning, meeting with some friends for a play date and probably have my dad over for dinner.
Speaking of ceiling fan installation & DHs, my friend's boyfriend ELECTROCUTED himself last week installing a ceiling fan. I think she has all of us beat.
Whoa! I'm guessing he forgot to turn the power off.
Yep. He did.
I know this makes me an insensitive *** but I laughed really hard when I read this. Is he okay?
Apparently he got electrocuted a few years ago & he ended up having to go to the hospital after this because he felt funny. The doctor did an EKG on him & he's fine.
But WTF.. Electrocuted twice?
Wow...you would think he'd have learned his lesson the first time...Glad he's okay though.
WHATTT??
I find this ironic.
Drop me off in the lazy river and I'm there!
Yeah, if you want I can text you tomorrow and let you know if it is worth making the trip.
Yes! I guess he's put about an hour or more into it so far over the course of several days. In his defense, once he took down the old light, he discovered that there was no mounting bracket inside the attic and that the wires for the light that was in there were just hanging down. He had to get a fan mounting bracket and put that in the attic and the next step is to open the hole in the ceiling for it to come through. That should be interesting ...

Noooooooo! Say it isn't so! It took me 25 years to discover this place, they can't take it away from me already!
Please do! Seriously, my pregnant self will cry if Garden Ridge is closing. I only go once a year, but I freaking load up when I go.
Please post here whether it is or not if you don't mind! I was planning to get some things from there for the house but wasn't planning to go quite yet. It's a pretty good trek for us so I'd appreciate the heads up! I will be seriously sad if this is true.
Tara - I have a 10% off coupon for Lowe's if you want it!
I'd like to know how Garden Ridge looks, too.
Nothing planned for tonight. Tomorrow we are hauling stuff to the dump and having friends over for a going away dinner (the husband deploys next week). Sunday we have a 1 year old's birthday party to go to.
Yes! I'd love it!
