big AW: Kitchen renovation pictures (long)
It just occurred to me reading Ginger's post about projects that I haven't shared my kitchen pictures!! We've been enjoying it for about 2 weeks now and I'm just so in love it's not even funny.
Before:

and...now!

(yes, only 5 chairs. They only had 1 arm chair, so the other one is on backorder)
Re: big AW: Kitchen renovation pictures (long)
You guys did a great job! There's so much more cabinet and counter space now. Are you going to do a backsplash too?
Out of curiosity (because I always wonder this with DIYers), have you guys done this kind of work before or how did you go about learning?
My husband is somewhat a self-taught handy man. He did learn some from his dad (who learned from his dad, and so on). it's stuff he just "gets" (it's his engineering mind) and over the years he's certainly tackled many projects.
I'm just lucky, basically
That's awesome. My DH is pretty handy overall, but we've never tackled big home projects and I'm afraid to let him do it

MH loves projects like this. we tore the room down and he did the electrical, expanded doorways, walls, etc.
That is beautiful! I love the cabinets and the floor is amazing!
You must be thrilled! : ) Congrats.

Thanks everyone!
