Do you take anything for them? I'm on Topomax as a preventative, and Zomig as needed. Both work really well.

I'm not anything any more. I had them when I was younger every now and then, but, once I went on the pill, I started having them all the time. They took me off the pill due to migraines and blood pressure several years ago and I haven't had to be on prescription medicine since then. Part of me wishes I had never gone on the stupid pill.

Yeah, my dad asked if I wanted to go but it was kind of a joke. They do just fine in baseball whether I am there or not. Plus, we leave for Disney in 10 days and there's just so much to do.
Summer - Have you had any weird symptoms with Topamax? I had to get off of it after taking it for three years as I began falling all the time, like just walking and then falling and I was losing the feeling in my hands and legs. Another friend of mine had the same thing happen, so I was just wondering if that was common? Also - can you taste carbonation? That was the weirdest thing for me, everything tasting flat. I missed champagne. - Leslie

Idk, we are waiting to hear from the AC company we were assigned to. We called and got VM. Ughh... last time it took longer than 2 weeks. It better not take that long this time.
It was way to hot to sleep so we packed up at 2 AM and drove to my parents townhouse which, thankfully, is vacant.

Yes, when I first started taking it I felt side effects similar to that. My limbs would go numb, it affected my memory, concentration, and I still can't drink carbonated drinks. All those things went away after the first few months though, besides the carbonation thing. I've been taking it for about 3-4 years. I started on 25mg and just increased to 50mg about 6 months ago.
The carbonation thing was actually a blessing in disguise because it resulted in me completely cutting out sodas all together and I used to drink Diet sodas religiously. So, that was actually a great thing. I lost about 5lbs when I stopped drinking diet cokes and now when I try to drink one they just taste nasty.
Do you take anything now?

Today I'm wearing a pair of pants that, 6 weeks ago, I had to move to the back of the closet because they no longer fit. I am so proud, I had to share!
And also, DH said he "plans on being home in a few days" - hooray! He said the job is going slowly due to some materials problems, but they're getting really close to finishing. I can't wait - I'm not very good at this long distance stuff!

Dear Summer - I take Relpax now as an abortive only. Although it worked really well Topamax kind of freaked me out. I had to come off of it and didn't want to go back on a daily med. I also have a spinal tap every two years to reduce the amount of spinal fluid I have which has made them go from three times a week to maybe once a month or once every two months. - Leslie
Yeah, I'm really worried about what's going to happen when we start TTC and I have to stop taking it. My friend is on topomax and had to stop taking it several months before her IVF and all through her pregnancy and her first tri was miserable because she got so many awful migraines and couldn't do a damn thing about it. I'm so not looking forward to that.

Dear girls that have uploaded their whole weddings to fb,
All my pictures are super high resolution so they either take around 10 min a piece to upload or I have to resize them prior to uploading. How did you upload yours without it taking hours and hours? Or am I just lazy and you ladies did it anyways even with it taking hours?

I had the same problem. I only got to the pre-ceremony pics before I gave up and just uploaded the photographer favorites.
That is why I only have the blog pics on my FB. It would have taken forever to upload them all.
I only did some of my favorites as well.

I've still got the same stupid migraine I had yesterday. Not as bad today but still sucks! I use to be on Topamax but like Leslie I didn't like the side effects and I also didn't want to take a pill every day. Since we are TTC I'm trying not to take much of anything but yesterday I finished my bottle of Excedrin Migraine and had to stop and get more this morning. I would take the day off if I wasn't so determined to go to the Mavs parade Thursday!

I only put up my favs. That, and I didn't want to spend the time uploading all 1000 of them when I knew most people wouldn't look through all of them anyway. And those that did would look once, and then probably not ever again. I don't look through 200 wedding pictures when I see that many. I skim.
I think highlights of getting ready, details, ceremony, reception, etc are perfectly fine!

A dilemma just dropped into my lap. I have a FB friend request from a student's parent. Not former student but current student (she'll be back in my class next year). I love this child dearly but this mom has taken a few shots at me over the years and she had her daughter arrested last year before Christmas during an argument that was not physical. I know that I cannot accept her as a friend but I'm worried that this mom will cause more trouble if I don't. I also don't want her seeing any of my statuses, not that I say anything awful. So, give me the wisdom to not accept it.

Oh boy, she sounds like drama! I wouldn't add her, but if you do, you can block her from seeing your statuses. I did that with a co-worker. So we are "friends" but all she can see is my pictures. I told her that I just did away with the "wall" all together because it was too much drama.
