    Deepthi,

    I thought this was hilarious.

After being sick for some of the last two weeks, I guess my stomach has shrunk.  The turkey sandwich I got at Potbelly was way too much.  Not that it's a bad thing but I am so miserable right now I want to.....blah.  I don't think I'll be eating again today.

I weighed myself this morning convinced I had already lost maybe a pound since I weighed Friday.  Instead I weighed 2 lbs. more.  I decided weighing myself is a bad idea.

I honestly don't even own a scale.  I just don't want to know.

    Ditto Lacey!

Yea I really should just get rid of mine.  It just makes me sad :-(

One night, he made this squash into spaghetti by using some sort of shredder.

Julie-  What kind of shreddar/process did he use?  I want to do this SO bad, but I don't know how.

**Sorry you didn't like it though.

I have no idea.  It was a little too hard (he admits that he might not have cooked it quite long enough).  My husband is quite adventurous and admits to eating almost everything/anything.  Last week, it was some slices of pork meat (like sandwiches), a slice of cheddar, and a tortilla.  Thankfully, I was sick and didn't have to eat that.  Of course, if I hadn't been sick, he wouldn't have been eating it either.

I've heard of this spaghetti squash business but I haven't tried it yet.  My friend swears by broccoli slaw spaghetti with meat sauce (made with ground turkey) so I'm going to try that this week for lunch...might be an easier option.  You can just buy the pre-cut broccoli slaw next to the bagged salads in the produce department.  She swears it tastes amazing, but noodles are way more amazing than broccoli, lets be honest... But I'm trying to be healthier and lose the weight I've packed on over the last year and a half.

Speaking of which, I actually ordered scale today.  This was probably a bad idea considering a scale used to run my life and it cost my parents $125,000 to get it back...but I think I can handle it this time.  I don't have that mindset anymore, and numbers are motivating for me.  I'm definitely with you all though -- absolutely need to limit the amount you use it.  I also bought a Polar HRM and I'm so excited about it!  It will be fun to see the things I can do to get my heart rate in certain zones.  Apparently I am that big of a nerd. ;)

I think that I speak on behalf of everyone when I say... "Um... what?"

  • Don't ever get an eating disorder.  It's expensive. :(  That was in 2007 though before some of the new insurance legislation.  My insurance did not cover any inpatient/residential treatment.
