Re: AW/Chit Chat Thursday
You thought yellow heels?! I'm so so pale, that I wasn't sure how yellow would look. But a quick spray tan would fix that!

No, I posted right before you about a pop of color then you posted that link. Haha.
Lacey, I would but I'm not at home!

Yes, I definitely want to know!!!
Haha, no hooray yet! It could be (and probably is) absolutely nothing. I have got to stop torturing myself though by comparing/stalking the charts of the girls on Getting Pregnant who just announced their positives.
I would be interested - I have always wondered about the gel nails. Do it!
Whoops! It was 25% off your entire purchase but it's good through Sunday. So you might be able to do both if you can go on Sunday. Sorry--I looked at it when I was barely awake and decided to go back to sleep.
Nah, I'm scared of heights and drops and so is Bill. I'm thinking about doing a behind the scenes tour one of the days though so that could keep me busy.
Psh. Season makes no difference. If it were fall or winter I'd probably wear red!
Totally agree with Summer. Also, I wouldn't wear black shoes with that dress in the summer, either. What about a hot pink or some neon color heel? Neon colors are in right now.
I'll work on the PIP, it's a process for me.
If it was fall or winter, I'd wear red too. (and I have a pair of amazing red heels)... I normally don't follow season trends, but summertime calls for bright colors in my opinion!

WOW! Everyone has such good news today!
Leslie- Glad you are feeling better, but wonder if that will be how you feel for the next little while?!?!?!?!
Lauren- Congrats!
Julie- Jealous of your long vacation.
Lacey- YES! Dying to know more about it.
MandaRoo- How fun!
DH and I decided to start doing a date night once a week. We have never really set aside "date night" time before so I am excited. We just want to use that night to try new restaurants, maybe see a movie and just spend time away from our house together.
Tonight we are going to Yucatan Taco Stand. Anyone been there? What's good/must try?
I saw a fabulous pair of hot pink Steve Madden's 50% off last week at Belk in my size, yet I passed. I wanted them so badly. But I've already spent my "shopping allowance" for this month, sadly. I know. It's only the middle of the month. I went a little overboard at the beginning of the month. Ha.
I still haven't figured out if my wedding shoes are appropriate to wear with anything else. I still have them. And have taken off the "Mrs. M" on the bottom just in case I want to wear them. But, I don't know.....
That's awesome, I'm sure it will be so much fun and a great time to reconnect during a hectic week. I actually went to Yucatan Taco Stand a few weeks ago and really liked it. I had the seasoned beef tacos and it was yummy. The girls I went with got "bowls" of some sort and they loved them. HTH!!
That's what we were thinking, an area that would have more families. Weird to think about that too, but since we'll start trying for kids in a couple of years, I thought it would be smart to just move to that type of area.
Leslie - keep us updated

I think date nights are so important to start implementing before the kids come. Because after the kids come is when they become uber important and if you're already in the habit of having them once a week, or whatever, you're more likely to keep it up!
I have worn my wedding shoes to the Chocolate Festival, Sarah's wedding and my job interview on Monday. The main reason being that they fit and are comfy and are about the only other shoes I own besides my Adidas'.
I went to the one in Frisco and the food was really good. I went with a couple of friends and we did flights of Tequila. Very fun night!

DH and I go out every Friday night without fail. If we have plans with others on Friday night we will pick another night during the week. I like having a time with just the two of us. We try to make a rule that we go somewhere new at least 2 date nights a month.
Yucatan is good - they have really good guac. I had the garlic shredded beef taco and it was good. Warning: the nachos are HUGE, like insane. Do not order two nachos, you will be eating them for a week.
I love my wedding shoes, but I don't have too many places to wear them.

Yeeeeah.... Since you don't have FB I don't think you've seen my wedding shoes....
I am so tired of the TRE/DART people telling people to use the public transportation and then not being able to handle the influx of people.
8:51a Dallas police say DART has closed Victory Station at the American Airlines Center. (WFAA)
8:17a The T is now sending buses to Richland Hills Station to pick up overflow passengers from the TRE. (DART)
8:06a The TRE is having problems; trains leaving Tarrant County for Dallas are full. The T is dispatching buses to pick up customers at the Hurst/Bell and CentrePort/DFW Airport Stations. (DART)
We took the TRE/DART to the TX/OU game one year. You know what is worse than paying hundreds for a game ticket? Paying hundreds for a game ticket and sitting at Victory station for 1.5 hours and missing the first quarter for said game due to too many trains on the track.
If you can't handle the people, don't tell people to come to the trains!!
Congrats to everyone on their news.
Lauren, house hunting is so exciting.
Leslie, you will definitely have to keep us posted.
Julie, your vacation sounds great.
Lacey, I want to see your nails too.

Sadly I have no AW and no new dress. I have no idea what I'm wearing. I already splurged on a new dress this month (but it's solid black). I'm pretty sure Ben would kill me if I bought another one, even at 25% off. He seems obsessed with money these days. Yet, he is wanting to stay at the Four Seasons when we go to Vegas. I told him no way.
I always thought Dress Barn was for old ladies too.
I am both glad and sad I don't work downtown anymore today.

Just do it!
Summer RE: your wedding shoes - I would totally wear those again. They are so cute.
Still working on PIP. Technology is killing me.
OMG - the shoes you guys are posting are super cute. However, I will just sit here and remain envious of all. Do you know what a size "giant" foot looks like in a yellow and/or neon shoe?
Lauren - Yay, that's exiciting! There is definitely a lot of bang for your buck up there right now.
Thanks! If Bill didn't have this conference, I wouldn't be there for an extra week at all so it was kind of a boon. I doubt this will ever happen again to me so I'm going to try to take advantage of it.
Bill and I still try to do date night every week but sometimes life gets in the way. However, when we do get to do it, we have a great time. Last night, we ate at the Blue Goose Cantina in Highland Village and it was delicious!!!! I now wish we hadn't waited so long to try it. We'll definitely be eating there again.
LOL! You crack me up!
