I would also rather have a waffle maker but it's only $30. The couple could easily buy that for themselves. The platter is just over $100. My line of thinking was that it might be better to buy them something that they may not buy themselves. Thoughts?

A digital picture frame.  I always wanted one but failed to register for one and a family friend gave us one.

Do they enjoy theater, musicals, etc.?  Maybe you could buy a few tickets or see if you could do a mini season ticket package?   It's a little nontraditional but I would have loved to receive something to do together.

  • Dang I missed everyone talking today! It seems like I am only on when everyone else is busy hahaha!

    Dear Chelsea,

I'm going to scold you too.  A nice looking lawn doesn't have to be expensive.  My dad waters every other day and his lawn looks very nice.  It also shows potential buyers (when you're ready to sell) that they're not going to have to sink a lot of money into a lawn if and when they buy your house.  Yes

    Ekk! Angel

That's a good point, and now I feel like I need to go home and water my lawn...but it just rained!! haha!

I will start the day after tomorrow, PROMISE!! Big Smile

    Dear Nesties,

I'm still scared to go over to TB.  They are so graphic and there is lots of TMI.  I know I will have to venture over sometime but I'm not ready yet!

    -me-

    Dear Dana,

TB pregnancy boards are a lot less intimidating than the TTC boards, so don't be scared... if you are anything like me ( and the ladies on those boards) you will soon start having questions about stuff and it's good to be able to get prespective from others going through the same thing.

BTW, how many weeks are you along now? Have you gone in for  your 1st appointment yet? Sorry you may have already posted this, and I either missed or pregnancy brain has made me forget.

  • Well I am back from my interview and I do feel like things went pretty well!  Hopefully I will hear from them :-)

Wait until a day or two after the rain stops.  It's supposed to rain again today and possibly tomorrow.

Those are great ideas, however I don't know them well enough to purchase something like that. We're friends with their parents. I went with the platter. Thanks for all of the input!
