Re: Super duper grand GTG

  • I am good for any weekend except the last weekend in Sept. Excited!

  • My mom works for Marriott too, so I should be able to get two rooms as well (if they're available), right?

Yes ma'm if its available we can each get two rooms. Beach fronts are a bit harder to get with employee rate but the friends and family rate is still better than regular rate.

If you meant Sept. 17, here's the available hotels in the area with my employee rate:

Waterside Marriott (Great Pool, not near a beach though) $113+tax a night (Reg. $139)

St. Pete Marriott Clearwater (Near Fort De Soto, not beach front) $59+tax a night (Reg. $127)

Vinoy Renaissance (near the beach) $142+tax a night (Reg. $159)

Clearwater Sand Key Marriott (Beach Front nice pool) $159+tax a night (Reg. $199)

Unfortunately the Residence Inn at Treasure Island is not offering the employee rate, rate for that day is $159+tax a night (could have been $45 with my discount but not available).

Too bad about the Residence Inn.  Doesn't matter to me though... whatever everybody else wants to do. Someone else can make the executive decision.

  • This sounds fun!  DH and I might be coming to Florida in September before I'm too far along to fly, so if the dates work out, I'd love to pop in (probably can't stay overnight with the insane poverty we're facing once this baby arrives...)

  • That sounds reasonable enough. And I don't mind sharing rooms with multiple girls. I'm clean and low maintenance, I swear. :)
  • This sounds like fun! The weekend of the 17th would be perfect b/c my long run is only 12 miles (weekends before and after are 20 milers)!

  • I would love to be a part of this! We should be moving to the area the beginning of Sept!

    This made me LOL.

I will have a run schedule too, but I'm not even going to see what it is..

  • I vote Marriott Sand Key for a party night or the Vinoy a more sophisticated girls weekend.  I really love downtown St. Pete, but we might want to get all Jersey Short like in Clearwater.
  • I'd love to pop in and meet/ see everyone. This will be shortly after LO is born so I won't be staying the night, but giving H and Little Man a few hours for bonding sounds good.
  • This sounds fun!  I hope I can make it.  I may have some double good news coming in the next week that could impact my plans starting in the next month or so.
  • I'd say Sand Key Marriott too, so we can have a nice day out at the beach and the pool or hot tub after hehe.

Sounds good to me too! Okay, all you other far away girls.... are you coming? COP- you're excused this time. Everyone else- see you there!

  • I'm all up for this!  It's harder for me to get to just dinner gtg because I live on the southern end of the west coast.  I probably won't be staying the night... need to save as much as I can for the cruise in Dec.  It would be awesome to meet you girls though!
  • Marriott on Sand Key sounds awesome to me! I'm down to sleep in a room w/ people. I have an air mattress (or 2). I say we do it up jersey shore style . ha.

  • I'd like to pop in for dinner and/or drinks but can't stay overnight. Otherwise, I'd have to bring DD2. I'm sure none of you would want a 4-month old infant tagging along.

I do.  :(  Maybe I will have a room to myself.  ::stretches out::

  • Rofl@ Jersey Shore style. As long as you aren't having sex right next to me, I'm all good. ;)
  • We got married at the Marriott Sand Key - the couches fold out there too.  The night of my bachelorette party my mom had 7 girls crashing in her room.

I'd love to make it, but my H is out of town for work the 17th, and I won't leave Kennedy overnight.  Maybe if I'm feeling comfortable, I'll leave her with my mom for a few hours and come hang out for a bit.  I've never left her at all, but her surgery will be behind us, so a few hours might be okay.

  • Seriously.  I'm okay for crashing on the floor.  I have an air matress and a sleeping pad (camping style).  And I'd probably sleep better on that then in the bed with someone cause I'd be paranoid about tossing and turning. Unless, I'm so drunk it won't matter where I crash... but I hope that isn't the case.  :fist pump: LOL

    I don't snore either.

And I don't have crabs.  FYI

  • LOL MOONY! Omg. For the record, I have no infestations at all, either. lol.

Also, I'd love to see you so drunk  you start fist pumping. Or doing the NJ turnpike (or whatever it's called). Ha.
