Ten Things Tuesday
1. We got confirmation of my C-Section date and it works out great with DH's schedule.
2. He'll have five days off starting the day of my surgery, which is part of his regular schedule, plus whatever time he decides to take off unpaid, if any.
3. We got a new roof over the weekend and I'm quite excited about it.
4. Apparently the turkey was hanging around on the patio the morning that the roofers came, and they thought it was our PET. 
5. I found some new pajamas yesterday at Kohl's and I really like them. I feel like I've been looking for some comfy ones in the style I like forever.
6. My brother and is wife are going out of town today for about a week and a half, and I told them I'd get their mail/paper and feed their fish while they're gone.
7. I honestly don't mind doing it, but we used to live right by them in Canton and now we live in Livonia, so it's a bit of a drive now and I don't like that part.
8. I watched the Bachelorette last night and kept asking myself "why am I still watching this season?"
9. Even though I feel that way, I guarantee I will continue to watch it until the end. Even though I don't like Ashley and even though I know who wins.
10. I found a super cute baby announcement online that's reasonably priced and I'm excited about it.

1. I cannot wait until Friday! I took the day off of work!

3. HOLLA! 5 DAY WEEKEND!
4. I emailed about a treadmill on craigslist, I hope I get it... they only want 50 bucks and I need a treadmill...
5. DH and I were going to go running last night, instead it turned into wine and beers with the neighbors.
6. My neighbor gave me half of her artichoke and roasted pepper pizza and i'm eating it for lunch right now.
7. The pizza is AMAZING!
8. I made fish tacos for the first time last night and it was awesome! It will definitely be added into my normal rotation of dinners.
9. I love watching the neighbor kids bicker. The three year old boy and girl are like a little soap opera. They are hilarious!
10. I am excited to start pulling together things for our garage sale in a few weeks!

1. Yesterday I realized that my car registration is expired by a month.
2. Someone gave away a True Blood spoiler last night on my wall and on MY post. I am pissed.
3. We picked out a new dining table last night. We've needed one since moving into the house April of last year. Going to purchase it tonight!
4. We especially needed this as Ellie will be starting to eat cereal this wknd and she has nowhere to sit.
5. We watched the the pilot of The Walking Dead last night. Holy creepy.
6. H's health insurance that we are all on is changing as of 7/1. I have a few appts (w/ new Dr's) that I need to make and it's killing me to wait. So impatient.
7. I keep telling H that I want to go back to Maui for out 5 yr anniversary. He is not sold. Since we don't travel much, he'd prefer we go somewhere we've never been. I mentioned it again this wknd and he didn't immediately shoot me down. This either means that he is coming around or he wasn't listening to me. I'm guessing the latter.
8. My family reunion actually went good-ish on Saturday.
9. This coming Sunday would be my sister's 21st Bday and next month marks 2 years since she has passed. I can't fully comprehend either of these facts.
10. I'm intrigued by Zumba and kind of want to try it.
10 Years Later
1. My house has been having intermittant power outages (on one line only) for over a week. DH finally got someone to come out to look at it last week and our meter was finally replaced yesterday.
2. We had a couple times where the lights dimmed for a second yesterday so we are really worried that the meter didn't fix it. No outages yet though.
3. Last week we had the cable guys come out to install a phone/showtime. It went well except somehow our HD got turned off in the process
4. I was convinced that it was on-purpose and we were going to have to cancel on them, but the customer service person just flipped a switch and now its back.
5. Yesterday, a woman a meijer came up to me to comment on my bump. She was really nice - didn't touch me or anything, but it was kind of weird.
6. We're trying to get the nursery/furniture painted this weekend. I'm really excited to see how it turns out.
7. I went to BRU w/ my mom this weekend to show her what I registered for. She is apparently very concerned that I haven't registerd for anything to decorate the room yet. I think she thinks my baby will be sensory deprived.
8. I saw a baby bunny munching on my impatiens this morning. It was so cute I just watched it go down instead of scaring it away.
9. Since we just got showtime, we've started watching Weeds. We've been watching about 2 episodes a day. It's a decent show, but I wouldn't say I'm hooked.
10. I made roasted zucchini from the farmer's market yesterday. It is so yummy, I think I could eat that everyday.1. DD is starting to sit up on her own!
2. We have our annual firm conference on Thursday and I get to wear jeans! I have to wear a silly work t-shirt with them, but I'm ok with that.
3. It looks really nice outside today
4. I'm having dinner with a bunch of high school friends tonight, it should be fun to catch up.
5. I need to remember to order the pizza for our dinner tonight!
6. I got my annual raise and bonus amounts yesterday, they weren't great, but I had set my expectations pretty low, so I was ok with the amounts.
7. I have a lot of work to do today, so I probably shouldn't be done 10 things Tuesday
8. We're going to Milwaukee on Saturday for the week to visit inlaws
9. I love office supplies
10. Even though my work provides all the office supplies I would need, I often buy my own fancy ones, like colored post-its and fun pens and pencils
1. I went registering last night and I am officially overwhelmed. I have a feeling it will take a lot of online tweaking and a few more store visits to really clean up the registry.
2. My sister is TTC and her chart was looking b-e-a-u-tiful this month and I was really hoping this was it for her. It was not. Now she has to go see a specialist.
3. I feel guilty that I am pregnant and she is not. I know that she is truly happy for me, but I also know that it still hurts her a little.
4. I left work about half an hour after arriving because I was totally craving a Speedway fountain pop.
5. I also picked up Jimmy John's for lunch while I was out and it's been sitting in my desk drawer. I am forcing myself to wait until noon to eat it.
6. The girl who works for me was out of the office yesterday and again today. I LOVE when she isn't here....even though that means I have to do extra work that she would normally do.
7. I need to enter my time from last week. I promise to do that as soon as I am done with my ten things.

1. Dh admitted to me yesterday that he likes his moms spaghetti sauce better than mine.
2. I'm not that offended because I only open a can and heat it up.
3. If I were going to make sauce all day like his mom does then I'd use my aunts recipe that he doesnt like so I guess hes SOL either way
4. I went to Salvation Army yesterday and bought the baby a dresser. It was 28$, we are returning the 300$ one we bought.
5. The new dresser needs to be painted. I hope it is as easy as it sounds.
6. I'm trying to plan a beach vacation for next year. That will motivate me to loose and tone up the baby weight....Hopefully.
7. Our carpet should get installed Thursday!
8. We havent decided on a baby name yet. Havent even really talked about it. People keep asking and when we tell them we dont know they accuse us of "keeping it a secret". It is slightly annoying to me.
9. I'm pissed at my dad and his family. They probably dont know it, but I'm not speaking to them.

Mommy's little helper
1. I had ho-hos and chocolate milk for breakfast.
2. I really need to to go grocery shopping so that my breakfast is a little healthier tomorrow
3. My online class started yesterday and I have yet to get the book for it and really don't know when I will go up to school to get it.
4. I hate allergies!
5. Our new carpet is so nice. The padding is super comfy, I have contemplated taking a nap on the floor.
6. I was really disappointed in True Blood on Sunday. They strayed so far from the books and this book was by far the best in the series.
7. I really hope that this weekend is nice. We are getting a lot of top soil delivered to our house so we can fix the grade and I hope to have it done this weekend.
8. My mom is coming back up. This is kinda bittersweet. I miss her when they are gone but the only reason she is coming back to Michigan is because my step-fathers dad has cancer and they won't let him out of the hospital unless someone stays with him.
9. Cancer sucks. And I know too many people that are dealing with it right now.
10. #9 was not my attempt to get t&p's for my family members. It was just a vent!
1. Played a doubleheader softball game last night, I did pretty good at the plate, had some awesome hits.
2. I miss playing on a regular basis, but it's so hard w/DH gone during the week to find ppl to watch the kids.
3. I played catcher both games since I pulled a muscle in my thigh on my 1st at bat, I wasn't quitting that early.
4. I can't believe I just created a FB group to talk about plans for our 20th reunion for next year!
5. It doesn't feel like it's been 20 yrs & many of us haven't changed much.
6. Our minivan is at the shop getting the nice F*ck word that was keyed in it out.
7. Just a pain to have to get a rental, put in the carseats, and DH had to leave later than usual because he took it in so we didn't have to mess w/taking the kids for the swap.
8. Got a cavity filled yesterday & because I had to wait in the lobby 10 min. maybe, the doctor gave me a 25% discount! I didn't even ask for it, I think he felt bad because I had to take the kids w/me, he felt bad we had to wait.
9. I love listening to my kids play with each other, Kaitlyn loves being a "mommy" to Joshua.
10. But then it's hard to get Kaitlyn to let Joshua play w/the toys. What's hers is hers, and also what's his is hers :=) Ah, sharing...what a concept for a 3 yr old!

Fire it up, Let's go get this thing stuck
1. I seem to have gotten some of my motivation back, and am super excited about it.
2. I wish that paint would dry faster so that I could finish my cabinets and get them hung in the basement already!
3. I bought this dresser at Goodwill and plan to paint it yellow and put it in the basement.
4. I'm nervous about this and worried about ruining the dresser and/or wasting a lot of time/money. Even though it was from Goodwill, it wasn't exactly cheap.
5. The board has been super slow and it annoys me.
6. I think FB is very overrated. Not just because of the nest thing, but in general.
7. I told DH that I would quit shopping in an effort to save some extra cash for a vacation in the fall. This is taking more effort than I thought it would! I'm going to get a lot of books read on my lunch breaks.

1. We're going to Mackinac Island this weekend and I cannot wait.
2. We were going to stay two nights, but we were offered the friends and family rate for Friday night at the hotel I used to work at, so now we're staying three nights.
3. I slept all night last night and only got up once. I'm really hoping this is a good long break from pregnancy insomnia.
4. I've bought lots of flowers and plants and haven't actually planted any of them.
5. I killed a hanging flower basket within one week of receiving it.
6. I should stop trying to get into gardening.
7. I am happy that jess and sheila both recommended the psssst dry shampoo. I picked some up last week and I love it.
8. I also picked up the Arm and Hammer stuff that sheila recommended and it made our living room smell super nice.
9. We should do more product raves because I find lots of fun things to buy.
10. We bought a new vacuum cleaner last weekend. I feel old for being so excited about this. It's not even a fancy vacuum cleaner.
I'm down in Berkley now, so nowhere near you anymore. MIL watches Ellie in Ortonville Tues - Thurs though so logistically, it could be an option.

10 Years Later
I'd love for you to join me if you can! It's on Sashabaw Rd & Maybee - in the Kroger plaza. It's called Hot Yoga of Clarkston. This is the last week they do Zumba on Thursday from 8-9 PM. In July they moved it to Wednesday from 6:30 - 7:30. I think they'll move it again in August.
I am starting Zumba with a friend in the next couple weeks.

2. It's my husband's birthday on Monday and I am stressing about what to get him.
3. I just had my baby shower on Sunday and can't believe how much stuff we got...I'm soo grateful.
4. I've had chocolate cake with milk for breakfast 2 days in a row now. I'll probably have it the next couple of days too (so the cake gets eaten up before it goes bad!)
5. I've only been on bedrest for a week so far and I'm already starting to go stir crazy.
6. I feel really bad for my husband for having to go to work all day and then come home to do all of the chores while I basically sit around, so I am trying to control my grumpiness for his sake- but it doesn't always work out.

1. I just spent more time than I care to admit looking for my scissors. I had them one minute and the next they were gone. Just found them in a drawer they don't belong in.
2. Some old guy just came in the front door and asked for a co-worker. Acted like I should know who he is although I have never seen him before. I said I would go look for co-worker and he opened the door and walked right into our offices. I said, "Uh sure, just come right on in". Yes, I was a bit sarcastic. I do not know this person. Stay in the lobby. He then told co-worker I wouldn't let him in. Haha!
3. I didn't plant flowers this year. I couldn't find any I liked.
4. I was crazy busy at work yesterday and today I'm just not into it. I guess it's balancing out.
5. OOT company is coming tomorrow & I have a lot to do before they get here. It's a little overwhelming.
6. I'm sad for DH & his sisters right now. His grandpa passed and this is the first immediate family member that they are old enough to really remember passing. I think the memorial is going to be a tough one.
7. My OCD planning self is nervous that we don't have our up north plans for this weekend set yet (as in when we are leaving). DH's sisters tend to go with the flow and it is freaking me out.
8. I just had 7 pairs of shoes dropped off by UPS. I am only looking for 1-2 pairs, but I didn't know which ones I wanted or sizes I needed. Gotta love Zappos and free return shipping. I think 6 are going back tomorrow.
9. Good thing I handle the credit card because DH would really wonder about this purchase. Of course, there will be a credit in a few short days.

1. My sister loves crocs and I just bought my nephew (he'll be 1 in July) a pair lined with fur, they were only $10 from Big Lots! I couldn't believe they carry Crocs!
2. I need to call to make reservations for Ludington.
3. The board has seemed slow lately, but I never really start posts, so I shouldn't be bothered that it's been slow, but I am!
4. I am so excited that it is supposed to start getting warmer.
5. DD amazes me every day when she plays with her doll's, I keep telling DH that is her showing him she wants to be a big sister!

7. My sister just had major surgery and is doing incredible! She is such an inspiration, I am so proud of her.

5. I have mixed feelings about the new house. It?s not my dream house, though it is very nice. But I?m super excited to live on a lake.
6. I feel like DH and I have been SO focused on where we were going to live that we haven?t allowed the pregnancy to be the center of our universe quite yet. This is good and bad.

8. Rationally I feel like we still have time to do the things we want to do for baby and get prepared so I shouldn?t feel too bad but I?m having a hard time being rational about this.

9. We are going to start looking for a house this fall / winter, which I'm only half excited about, I see how much time and money my friends put into theirs and it makes apartment living seem so much more appealing

1. I am mad at our mortgage loan officer because he lost a bunch of paperwork for our mortgage application and we got a snarky e-mail today indicating we didn't submit our W-2s for the past 2 years.
2. Obviously we did submit the paperwork because he never would have begun processing our loan if we hadn't.
3. Apparently they also don't understand that people get money for weddings as well. They are asking us to substantiate a large deposit made 2 days after the wedding...
4. Finding homeowners insurance is exhausting. Especially when they wont' let you get a quote online and you have to deal with an actual agent.
5. I really am starting to freak out about being a homeowner. Mainly because 1-4 but for other reasons as well.
6. On a positive note, we got out of work a half hour early yesterday and it made my day!
7. I'm looking forward to the Bachelorette being over so the Bachelor Pad starts!
8. I am also looking forward to Big Brother next week.

I know that mortgage people can be a pain with all the requirements but this one is probably just for back up for their files for the government. The will more than likely take a letter from you stating that the deposit was gifts from your wedding and that will be it. Unfortunately a lot of new legislation has gone through where the mortgage company now needs silly things like this per the government.
It makes sense but I was just irritated that they lost our W2s so this just put me over the edge. Especially since the woman won't reply to let us know what we need to do to substantiate them. It's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but just annoying.
Ha, I wonder if you have the same loan officer we had? I sent everything he requested in a timely manner and the next few weeks were a string of requests for the exact same things I had already sent. So annoying.
I did not enjoy the house buying process at all, but very much enjoy being a home owner, if that makes sense. Once we closed it was the best feeling! Hopefully you feel that way soon!
That's what I hope because this has just been extremely frustrating.
I eventually talked to someone at the bank and they wanted me to get a copy of each cancelled check that we received for the wedding. I simply told her that was not possible and they needed to find another solution. Thankfully she said that a letter would be sufficient especially since some of the deposit was cash and there's no way to trace cash. She also then told me they would need a copy of the marriage license to substantiate my wedding gift claim to which I informed her that they already had a copy of that as well. That kind of shut her up about all our "lost" items.
