I'll start by saying I actually had a blast this weekend with my IL's.
For those of you that remember last week I was worried about getting sick, and I'm fine. But we pretty much hung out at my MIL's house all weekend since my SIL and BIL were in town with our nephew who's about 16 months. We went to the lake Sunday and rode the jet ski, which was really fun and went to kaboom town.
I will say though, the whole weekend reiterated why I'm not ready for babies. Everything is such a production with a kid! Holy crap. It's like, we were just ready to walk out the door but always had to wait an extra 20-30 minutes for them to get ready with the baby. Or, at the lake, we had just gotten done reapplying sunscreen and then BIL goes "Ok, I think it's time to go, he's been out here long enough." .......ugh. Seriously? We've only been out here 2 hours! It took longer just to get ready to go!
So, needless to say, I'm still glad H and I can come and go as we please. It was a nice eye opener, that's for sure.

Dear Biscuit,
Please feel better. I don't like seeing you sick.
Love, Mommy
Sarah,
Could it be stress related? Hormone related?
Dear nesties,
I will also say, I had my first massage on Sunday because of all the tension I have been having in my neck and shoulders, and it went pretty well. It hurt a little bit, but I think that was due to it being my first one and me being a little tense and not being able to fully relax. I had a migraine every night from Tuesday until Saturday, and I didn't have one Sunday after the massage. Maybe it's a coincidence, or maybe the massage helped!
I'm going back in two weeks!
Does anyone use massage envy?
I'm thinking about becoming a member. If it's really going to help me relieve stress and tension, it's definitely something I may want to consider on a regular basis.
-Summer
It could be either really. I certainly have a lot of stress in my life lately :-p And I went off of my BC a few weeks ago, so that could cause it as well.
I still have never had a massage, but I really want to get one.

Dear Summer/Amanda/Bobbileigh/Stephie,
No Bachelorette discussion this week
I'm really just sad it was a repeat cause I'm ready for this season to be done and Ashley to be gone forever.
I'm not so good with the advice... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?
Dear Office - Why do you smell like a dirty public restroom? It's gross. - Leslie
Dear Office Computer - Why do you keep freezing and making me restart you? I don't like it. - Leslie
Dear Summer - I find that some people are very good at moving quickly with kids and being live and let live and some are the complete opposite. I am hoping I am in the former camp if I ever get pregnant. - Leslie
B&M -
We spent some time with our neighbors this weekend and I have realized I really dislike one neighbor. She bragged about how fertile she is (three kids in three years) to a woman who just had an IVF transfer and was sharing with us how worried she was it wasn't going to take.
Then she proceeded to tell me that I was "getting older" and really needed to start trying if I didn't want to be infertile like our neighbor. She gave me some awesome pointers about how to get pregnant including - have sex whenever, when you aren't worried about conceiving the sperm can sense the lack of tension and swim better. I wanted to punch her.
She then bragged about how many books she reads per week (12) and let us know that we need to read more if we are going to keep our minds sharp. I told her I tend to read 4 or so per week and she said that was no good. Mind you, she is a stay at home mom to kids who are 13,12 and 11 and she has a housekeeper. She has lots of time for reading.
Yeah, my BIL and SIL are not those type of people. I don't know if it's their personality, or because it's their first. Pre-baby, they were VERY laid back and go with the flow.
That's what scares me.
I'm hoping once they have another one in the future, they'll chill out. Sometimes with the first, people are more neurotic and uptight. Especially if they've never been around babies/kids.
I worked with infants/toddlers all through college in daycare, so I've been around it. I know it's okay if the kid cries, it's okay if he doesn't want to eat, and it's okay if he skips his nap sometimes. Some people are very by the book when they don't know much about kids.

Summer,
I'm a Massage Envy member. Its a good deal and I really like going every month but there is a year contract. I didn't know about the contract and now I can't cancel my membership until October but I also can't use any of my paid weeks until my second tri. Once I cancel my membership all my prepaid weeks go away even if I haven't used them so right now I see it has a waste of $49/month for 6 months. The first 6 months were great though! The one in Southlake even has a couples room so DH and I have done that a few times and all it cost us at the time is the $49 for him plus tip.

-
I'm so tired. We went to fireworks last night and they didn't even start until 10 and it was a very good 25 minute show but that means we didn't get home until almost 11 and I finally got into bed at 11:45 after putting the last load of laundry and showering. The alarm going off at 6 wasn't nice! Going to need extra naps today!
On a good note though SD gets her cast off today (if it looks good). That will make the rest of summer so much easier!
Summer,
I am glad the massage went well, I bought that deal I sent over to you on fb so I might do that next weekend.
Leslie, wow your neighbor seems like a real peach.
I noticed a pay increase on my pay stub this last week and looked back through my check and it started back in March but I never noticed because my benefits changed. I felt obligated to say something about it so now I dont know if they are going to take it away, leave it, or even take back the over payment.
Dana, you can freeze your acct up to 6mo with no fee. And with a dr. Note you can cancel. They didn't tell you any of this? I made sure to ask all this stuff before signing! Hahaha.
Dear Summer,
I do the Massage Envy thing and I love it. I think they require an initial 1 year membership, but after that you can be month to month. I think their prices went up, though. My monthly membership is still $49.
Dana,
If your doctor gives you a note saying you can no longer receive massages, you can take it to them and I'm pretty sure they will break your contract.
Leslie,
Wow. Your neighbor sounds delightful.
Sarah,
Your headaches could be allergies. I know mine have really been acting up lately. Have you tried taking allergy medicine?
Wow Leslie - Your neighbor sounds like one I would try to avoid at all times.
Help Desk,
It would be nice if you could actually fix my problem after spending an hour on the phone with you. I hope it gets fixed tomorrow.

I did freeze it for 6 months (during wedding planning to help us with bills) but they don't tell you if you freeze it for 6 months it extends your contract 6 more months. My year was up in March but I now have to keep going until October.
As for the doctor's note, they told me that even they won't do a massage during the 1st tri so a doctor's note won't help until the 2nd tri and most doctor's won't keep you from doing it unless you are high risk. They say there are a lot of benefits to a prenatal massage during the 2nd and 3rd tri. Not sure my doctor would write a note unless I am high risk. Heck she encourages pedicures and "mommy pampering" so I think a massage would count in there.
I'm just going to keep paying and when I'm in the 2nd tri I'm going to do 2 hour prenatal massages until I can cancel the membership.
Dear ladies,
I totally agree. I'm bummed too. I was going to watch it tonight, but apparantly not now.
Dear jungle-growing-in-our-backyard,

Dear Summer,
You're not the only couple that likes to come and go as you please. We are the exact same way and love it. Call it selfish, but we don't care. We like our time together. One day, in a few years, we'll have kids. :~)
~Fellow-Understanding-Nestie
So H kind of pisses me off sometimes. I guess because we have a different way of looking at things.
We were talking about tanning beds and how I stopped because I didn't want to die of metastatic melanoma in my brain one day and he was like "OMG it's not like you used to go every day. You could get hit by a bus tomorrow too. Just live and have fun" I said "okay, maybe I should start smoking too" he goes "I would prefer you not because it smells bad". WTF!? Not because it's bad for me!?
It aggravates me. I know it's just his "well something's going to kill all of us" attitude but still.
Dear Leslie,
That's absolutely hilarious and I so needed that laugh. I saved the link for future reference.

I had a really fun weekend so I hate to B&M, but I just need to put it out there. One of my best girlfriends lives in Denver and had her second child in March. I am dying to meet her so I have been attempting to book a flight out to see them. We agreed on a weekend in September and I have been flight tracking. Haven't seen anything less than $392 (no stops) since May. Friday, I got a fare sale notification for $240 (no stops)! I start looking at times and called her (she is teacher that does not work in the summer) 3 times and texted her twice to talk about the best times for her. She finally text back, "Anytime works for us. Just book it." I did and she called Saturday morning to write down the date/times. When I told her, she kind of got quiet and said, "Oh, I have a professional development day on that Friday that I have to be at." Oh brother....
I will never understand people that are that unorganized/ignorant about their own "life" schedules.
Dear Friend/BM,
I am so excited about your new baby boy born this weekend! It gave me a little more of the baby fever, but I'm sure once we go down to Houston to visit that actually being around Cooper will probably remind us to stick to our 2 year plan.

Leslie - That is freakin' hilarious! knock knock! hahaha
I bought a pink metal pig at Canton, and H couldn't believe I wasted my money on that stupid pink pig and he better not see it in the front yard.... its on the front poarch.

Everyone is so quiet today!
I did just get an e-mail from one of the companies I did a job interview with about 2 weeks ago and they want me to do some assessments. :-)

I used to be a memebr of Massage Heights when I was in Austin, when we moved to Plano, I became a member of Massage Envy. They are about the same. I have been getting frequent massages, and love it. I cancelled my memebrship for one year when I was UE, as soon as I got a job, that was the first thing I signed up for again.
If you want a massage more than once a month, membership is the way to go, other wise, if you are getting a massage once every few months, you can find the same deals on groupon and social living.
I think to keep the knots and tension out of my back/shoulders/neck I really have to go at least once a month, or it's almost pointless for me. Not to mention I'll never to able to completely relax and get used to it if I don't start going more often.
Dear ladies in need of massages - You should also look into massage schools. There's one at Preston & 635 and I go there. You can get a massage from a licensed therapist for pretty cheap - that one charges $40 for an hour. I've been 3 times, and had different people each time, and enjoyed all but one... but that was because I asked for deep tissue, and I'm really too much of a pansy to be able to handle it. But, I definitely got what I asked for
Dear Pringles Baked Sticks - you are amazing.
Dear work - do yourself, I'd like another vacation day.
Dear DH - I had a great weekend with you. My favorite part was the driving though, because we got to talk about all sorts of future plans, which I know is a big development for you since you're the anti-planner!
Dear Family,
Why must you be so self-centered and crazy?
Dear Gym,
Thank you for the butt-kick this morning. If I didn't have a migraine right now, I would probably go back to visit you to blow off some steam.
Dear Hormones & PMS,
Please stop giving me migraines and making me so flippin' emotional.
