Re: Casey Anthony Verdict
You're right. I should have wrote not guilty instead of innocent. I don't think there is a single person in the world who thinks she is innocent in all of this. But whether they think she is guilty or not is a different story.
I really just can't believe how many people are outraged at the jury. It's all over Facebook and TV. Be mad at the prosecution, since it is their fault that there is a not guilty verdict.
Imo, the prosecution relied mainly on the fact that she just "seems so guilty" like everyone here, and didn't do much to prove it. Which means she goes free.
I'm not really convinced one way or the other. She seems guilty, doesn't mean she is. The "dingo ate my baby" lady seemed SOO guilty, served time, and at the end of the day, turned out a dingo DID eat her baby. It's a crazy world. I'm not saying "no way no how" she did it, I'm just not as convinced as everyone else seems to be.
what's the saying? I'd rather 100 guilty people go free than one innocent person die? I guess I feel like that.
I changed my name
Have you ever known somebody who lies so much they actually believe their own lies?
I changed my name
Amen. They're quick to cut ties and throw each other under the bus.
Not like this. I mean I have met people where I think this person doesn't know the truth from a hole in the ground but never anyone like this.
I never thought about it like this but i suppose that could be true. Also You said pretty much what i was going to say about her partying and that people grieve differently.
The Dogs and Us
On a personal note I totally totally do.
I do too, which is why I think someone who is perfectly able to function in day to day life can be so effed in the head. I think she's so off her rocker she very well could have convinced herself Caley was with a sitter, that someone named Zanney actually existed, etc.
And as for the, "She wouldn't have been convicted of providing false info to law enforcement if she had nothing to hide," while on the surface I agree, I have a close family member who lies just to lie. Her husband will ask what she had for lunch and she says, "Turkey sandwich," even though she had a ham sandwich and she knows it. She lies just to lie. She was molested growing up and lying was necessary for survival. She let her dad move in with her as an adult, she lent him her car, etc. This is why I won't discount the defense's allegation that George may have sexually abused Casey. People do weird things.
Agreed. I think the prosecution dropped the ball as well. She gets to walk away scott free and will probably get KUed again. Ugh.
Pretty much exactly what I was thinking. In any of the articles I've read about this case I haven't seen anything that convinced me of murder. It could easily have been some type of accident, but I have a funny feeling that whatever accident occurred was due to some combination of negligence and/or neglect.
I've already lost track of the article where I found this, but it's the idea that the prosecution didn't do a very good job with the charges. Basically they should have charged her on different counts of things that they could do a much better job proving rather than all different kinds of murder/manslaughter.
