Re: Friday!
Hmmm... nothing else has changed when the tension started? Was that the start of summer school? Are you carrying a heavier backpack? Still wearing tennis shoes? Walking farther with a heavier bag? Harder class schedule?
Good to know there's one in Addison!
And thank you! I am definitely up for trying anything at this point.
As far as Excedrin Migraine, I take really strong prescription stuff, so I don't really use OTC stuff.
But I will say my best friend's dad is a doctor, and he told me not to use Excedrin in general, because it tears up your stomach. He said stick to Tylenol if possible.
Also, how is your vision? Even if you haven't noticed a change you might want to see an eye doctor... I know this can cause some pretty serious headaches.
I know my vision is fine overall, but I wear glasses with a very light prescription at work and it helps ease tension and eye fatigue from the computer screen and constant focus.
I am gettting ready to leave work for the weekend, but had to leave you girls with this gem:
This girl posted a picture of her cervical mucus on Trying to Get Pregnant, uproar was caused and now someone posted about it on FFF, so it should turn into a good one. Because I can't help myself I went to look at the CM post and seriously had a dry heave. It turns out looking a pee sticks doesn't bother me at all, body fluids though, I draw the line.
DO NOT GO FIND THE POST! - You have been warned.
You know we have to now...

Leslie- I think I'll stay away from that one. Thanks
Tiffany and Lacey-
I do wear glasses, actually. Just got them about 5 months ago.
And the only thing that really changed when I started noticing all this was I was studying a lot more. That's it. So, I'm deducing that it's just the position I'm sitting in to study. But, I don't really have a lot of options! When you study for HOURS at a time, it's much more comforting to sit on the couch than at a table. Which, those are the only two options we have at home.
So I think I'm going to try some of the biofreeze. Maybe my Massage Envy will have some I can try. I may go up there today. I have a lot of studying to do this weekend for my final on Monday. Can't afford to be in pain all weekend.
Just a heads up about the Excedrin Migraine. If you compare Excedrin Migraine with Excedrin Extra Strength, it's the same thing but the extra strength is usually a cheaper.
Leslie - that sounds disgusting, I will not be seeking that out.
Summer - this may sound silly, but do you sit there for hours straight? I know you've probably heard this, but it will do your body wonders to actually take a break every hour or hour and a half. And by a break, I mean get up, walk around, maybe take a short walk - do something to get you in a standing position. That might help ease some of the pain. Even stretching could help.
Yes, I sit there for hours straight.
I know it's bad. Sometimes I just get into it and I can't find a good stopping position. H says I really need to go take a walk sometimes and take breaks. Sometimes that's hard to want to do when it's 103 degrees out though!
You could do household stuff too. Vacuum a room, start a load of laundry, load the dishwasher... etc. Anything to give those muscles a break.
Yeah, good point. AND chores would get done. Killing two birds with one stone. haha.
Thanks for the FYI's about Excedrin Migraine. I never thought to compare btwn the EM and Extra Strength. I try to limit the amount I take. I think the instructions are no more than 2 every 24 hrs, and I only take them 1-2 times a month, so maybe as long as I don't go over that? I have a prescription for bupap or something like that, but it makes me so loopy I can't focus at work.
This is random, but since we're talking about meds being the same, my grandma figured out that the Simply Sleep is made of the exact same thing as regular Benadryl! ZzZzZzZ

No wonder that stuff never worked for me.
Summer - When I'm in school, I try to take a break every hour or so and stretch. I do about 20 minutes of stretching. It makes me feel so much better and if I'm starting to get sleepy it wakes me up a little.
I also study on the couch because its more comfortable for my butt and my back, but my neck usually pays the price. Last semester I bought a book holder and one of those things for your lap that you put your laptop on (I don't remember the name). Now my books are at eye level when I study for hours and hours. Ny neck is so much better.
I also go to the chiropracter when I feel like I should. If I went once a month I would probably have less pain. I'm a member at Massage Envy too, and I've noticed that an hour isn't long enough for them to get all my knots. I usually go for two hours.
Thanks girl.
BL suggested a certain pillow too. I'm going to look into both of them.
