Re: B&M Monday
BL: I really hope the mole is just irregular. My father has to go get his face and neck checked about every 3 months and the doctors almost always find some cancerous moles. T&P will be with you tomorrow.
Leslie: I'm sorry about all the negativity and judgement in your life right now. I kind of agree with jaymie (I'm sorry if I spelled it wrong) I would try to see how crazy I could get the rumors in the neighborhood about the trainer. It's cliche but the only reason they're talking about you and your relationship is because they are insecure in theirs. Hopefull things get better.
I don't really have anything to B&M about. I'm giving the TAKS test this week. Easy $1000 bucks. I have to wake up early but I don't mind for the extra monies.

YAY Sarah!
And I'm alone in the office. Two creepy dudes just showed up to work on the wireless router (no one BOTHERED to tell me they were coming) one is especially creepy, pervert stache and all.
Stephie, I used to tan every day on my lunch break for about 3 years and started at the age of 16 so I have for sure done some damage but I have gotten smarter as I got older.
Tx-bride, I am just going to my primary dr, should I be going to a derm?
My mom had multiple ones taken off and she went to the dermatologist because she felt that they were more knowledgeable. She also had one removed from her nose and they used a new technique where they kept removing a layer until they got to clean skin. Moze? I think. A couple of hers were pre-cancerous so she became very self-aware. She also began using a facial sunscreen from Clinique every day (25 spf). I use it too now just to be careful.
I think your primary doc is plenty qualified to remove the mole and send it off for biopsy. (Make sure they do this, and not just remove it and discard it.) Should you happen to get any iffy results from the biopsy, then you might consider a derm, but I think for what you're doing, your regular doc will be just fine.
TX Bride, I really like my derm - she's at DermLaser Institute in Dallas, Dr. Ellen Terry. I really like how patient she is with questions, and she really taught me a lot about my skin and dealing with redness. My mom goes to her too, and my brother used to but didn't like her that much because she likes to schedule multiple follow-ups (like, every 6 months, regardless of what you had done), but to me that's just how she keeps people coming in - if you don't want a follow-up, just don't schedule it.
I thought I would come say Hi today, I've been MIA since like Wednesday last week. I took some time off work and came down with a sinus cold Thursday. I slept almost all day that day. The cold is still lingering today, but luckily I'm still off until tomorrow.
Sarah - YAY That's great news! Did you accept?
BL - T&Ps for you.
Leslie - UGH on the judgy people. They can be a major pain.
Leslie,
Sorry about the BFN and judgy biitches. But that's awesome you're going to get to start training more! You're going to be one hot mama when you do get pregnant!
No B&M today really. I'm about to go take a final that I don't feel prepared for. But it's nobody's fault but my own. I put so much effort in the last 5 weeks, I was completely gassed when it came time to study for the final. And I start class n?mero dos tomorrow.
Congrats Sarah!!!
Leslie - Sorry about your friend and the neighbors and the people on the other boards. I think it's great that you're getting to work out with a personal trainer!
I could BM about the email MIL wrote to DH where she said (among other things) she was hurt for not being thanked or acknowledged during any of the toasts at our wedding (which my dad totally pointed to their table when he welcomed them into our family). I laugh and think thank you for what?
Other than that I'm having a pretty good morning. Lots of calls, but we got back to the gym this morning after I took the short week off thanks to cramps.
ETA: BL - I hope they are non cancerous, I'll be thinking of you!
Bio Good Times
Thanks everyone!
Renee and Amanda- I have a second interview tomorrow and I want to see what happens there before I for sure accept this job :-)

Oh yes she is haha. Part of the email also came from the fact that we decided that we're not going to the birthday "party" she's throwing for herself. She said that no one ever does anything for her birthday. Funny since they haven't done a thing for DH's birthday in the 4 years that we've been together (and probably years before that too).
The only good thing I can say about the email is that DH expressed his feelings, and she expressed theirs. It's all out on the table and that's better then having to sit through dinner with an elephant in the room.

Congrats on the great news Sarah!
I hope everything turns out good BL.
We are having AC issues with both the house and our car. I adjusted our temps during the day down a couple of degrees last week (we had it set for 83 when we are gone and then 78 when we are home) but it's only made it hotter and it will finally break 80 around 11 at night. The AC's are 20 years old, original to the house.
People were giving me grief about my green monster this morning because they look icky. Oh I also threw in a few leaves of kale and it's not much different from the spinach taste wise, IMO AND it's only $0.99 per bunch. And my GM was literally a monster to make this morning. I froze my leftovers from yesterday and set it out for an hour in water and even added milk to work it's way to the bottom (which it did do) but it took DH and I (read DH because I was still not ready for work) about 20 minutes to get it done.
She still mad about something that happened Months ago??

Thank ladies!
Deepthi, I know I rarely diagnose myself online but I needed to know if it was really worth finally shelling out the money for. I have a high deductible plan and have not met yet so it is 100% out of pocket and funds are tight.
Sarah, YAY that is so exciting!

A 16 lb baby. Are you kidding me?
Everyone in DH's family is over 6 feet, including his mom (his brothers are 7'-0" and 7'-1") so I am little scared of having a giant baby, but this one takes the cake.
AND the baby is 2 feet.
This would be me. Both sides of our families are giants. I was 2 feet tall when I was born, too.
Deepthi - Yep! She needs to get over the fact that there wasn't a spotlight on them with a big sign that said groom's parents.
That big baby scares me. Not that DH was that big, but he was larger at 10 pounds.

Sarah-Congrats! Are you going to take the job? What type of job is it?
BL- GL. T&P your way. I hope it's just irregular. My sister and I have to have ever mole/weird freckle checked because our mom had a really bad case of skin cancer in her 20s and our derm wants to make sure we don't get it. I have one on my neck/shoulder area that they haven't taken off yet but I have to get it checked every 3 months and my sister has one on her ankle that they check every 3 months. She has had a total of 5 removed already and she is 25. They have all been irregular but they don't take chances!
Leslie- Sorry about the judgy people. Don't let them get to you. I never went to the TTC board and now I just lurk on the 1st Tri board. The TTC board was just too much for me and there are too many people on the 1st tri board. Are you still going to TTC even if you are training?
No real B&M today. I only work 3 1/2 days this week. I have my first u/s Thursday afternoon! I'm so excited. DH said we'd go buy something baby related afterwards. I'm thinking a book and maybe some diapers lol. Friday we are leaving for a family trip to Schillterbaun. I'm excited for that but sad I won't be able to do a lot of my favorite rides this time. Oh well! Just another part of being pregnant!
Those things are always worth it! I only say don't use google is because 1. I did it once and convinced myself I had cancer too (Low white blood cell count) 2. we have patients who come in all the time and convince themselves of things because they looked it up on google.
An in office procedure like that should be covered under your co-pay. You can always ask them to check your benefits before you do anything. Also, it's normally no more then a few hundred for a mole removal and testing. Since it is medically necessary it's a good thing it will be covered under your medical insurance.

I am waiting to see what happens with my second interview tomorrow at another job :-) It is a customer service/accounting position.

Sarah, congrats on the offer!
Julie, welcome back.
BL, I hope everything turns out ok, and it's nothing serious.
Leslie, I am still keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Thanks! Yes, but I will stop if I get pregnant. Since we are on month four of trying with nothing to show for it, I have decided not to put things on hold for TTC - so I'll just do both.
Best case I get a baby but not enough time for an awesome body, worst case it takes awhile and I get both the baby and the awesome body!
Kathy - Thank you. I appreciate it. I kind of expected it to take awhile and had moderately prepared myself for it but I still have dark days and it helps to know people are pulling for us.
As them if you qualify for any of their charity programs. Most people hate using them but they are there for a reason. If not do a payment plan! They will definitely work with you, pretty much every healthcare institution will do payment plans for patients.
<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home D
This is definitely worth looking into. I work in a physician's office as well and the only "good" thing about medical bills is that as long as you pay something every month, there's really nothing they can do about it. I think I've paid my dentist $20/month for the last few months on a $300 procedure because that's all they can do. My guess is that you probably would not qualify for charity, but payment plans should be more than do-able. My parents have a high-deductible plan too, so I know that's really tough. My mom does not go to many appointments she needs too because they simply cannot afford to pay $200+ out of their own pockets. Health insurance just sucks.
PP are definitely right though. Something like this is ALWAYS worth the money. I work in oncology and I will say that it is far, FAR better to check out suspicious moles like this and have them turn out just to be something irregular versus waiting and then it turns out to be cancerous. Melanoma spreads very quickly. I don't mean to scare you -- you likely have an irregular mole -- but letting it go can lead to consequences that are not worth risking. Please let us know how your appointment goes tomorrow -- good luck and I'm sure that everything is going to turn out to be okay!
