Re: Say anything... again!
Fake a massive hangover. That worked for me (twice) with Cooper. Everyone really enjoyed poking fun at the fact that I drank so much I didn't want another drink.
But eventually they will all be wasted and you won't. Meaning you'll be seriously annoyed with everyone else.
That reminds me of something a friend did - you can claim you are taking a prescription that you can't drink with.
Crazy Christmas Kids!
the hangover would be easy to "fake" since I'll probably be puking anyway.
my friends don't buy the prescription drug thing anymore. they know its the standard "pregnancy lie". ha.
i really don't care if they find out. I'll be almost 10 weeks. Its more DH that wants to keep it secret.
camo, I don't mean to be rude, but will you even be able to hide it at a beach weekend? You normally have a very tiny little waistline and I hear the 2nd time around the belly shows up much sooner.
geez, you are so rude. ha, jk
its this weekend. since i've been sick again, i've lost weight again. i don't think i'm showing at all but I'll have to get DH to verify.
I think at 9-10 weeks, even second time around, most people would look at most a little chubby but not really "showing." That said, I'd probably bow out. No, actually I'd go and tell them but I'd ask them to keep their traps shut until it's "public" but if your DH isn't ok w/ that (or you're not ok w/ telling them and not telling him you told them--hah! that's a tongue twister.) then I would say I was sick and stay home.
So flipping annoyed this morning. I pull up at Sonic to get my drink on the way in. They've been kind of slow lately, so I didn't think anything of the first couple of minutes of waiting. There was an employee outside who saw me pull up and saw me sitting there. Another car pulled up and we both waited another 2 minutes. The lady in the car behind me asked the employee who was off to the side smoking what was going on. She said oh, my boss isn't here yet. We aren't open.
At this point I stuck my head out and said wow it would have been nice for you to tell me that when you saw me pull up. She said I didn't see you with a sheepish look on her face. I said yes, you did and it was rude of you. So she shrugged her shoulders and gave me a fake smile.
Not cool, Sonic. Not cool.
For the past few years I have always found Sonic's customer service to be lacking. If I could get a diet cranberry limeade anywhere else I would be happy to never go back.
That's why I never tip, they're idiots.
because claire and i ran yesterday, i was DONE WITH AWAKENESS and really irritable around about 8:30. i was making a grocery list, thinking oh, i'll just go in the morning. then connor decides "there isn't anything for me to take for lunch tomorrow".
um, BS. you don't NEED gatorade. you can fill a water bottle with water and/or kool-aid or whatever we have in the fridge. we have sandwich stuff. we don't have bagged chips, but we have all kinds of freaking crackers. oh and did HE want to go to the store with me? no. and by the time i got back HE was in bed already.
i think i can tell how tired i was by the fact that i was super annoyed by my kid wanting food and sleep...lol. i just wanted to scream "MAKE IT WORK!" tim gunn style.
i got to HEB and they had three aisles totally cleared and were tearing down the shelves. i'm sorry, no, they were making a game of dropping huge metal shelves on the concrete floor as loudly as was humanly possible.
on the bright side, there were bananas for me to eat this morning, so i'm glad i went to the store.
my photography blog
My mom eats with her mouth open and loudly smacks her food. It grates on my last nerve - sometimes I have to leave the room! Ugh...I can hear/see it right now in my head. **shudder**
I didn't start showing until 18ish weeks the second time around. I could still suck it in pretty well. As for the hiding it- can you go to the bar and have the bartender make you virgin pink drinks, and fool people that way? Maybe pretend to get drunk fast up front so you don't feel like that tequila shot that everyone is taking later on? Or, you can offer to be DD? Can you pretend to drink, then pour some out while no one is looking? My guess is they are going to figure it out! lol.
HP - usually hair changes are due to hormone changes. A lot of people notice a difference in hair texture/type after puberty, taking BCP (or other hormonal BC), having kids, and menopause.
Mine was stick straight growing up, but must have gone wavy after puberty. I didn't notice it at the time b/c I still have a perm that was growing out, and I kept thinking it was the damn perm! After I was in college, I figured that by 4 years, the perm should have all been cut off by that point, and realized that I actually had wavy hair growing out of my head! lol.
DH had an aunt that had curly hair that turned straight after she had her kids. It's those damn hormones! ;-)
Haha my hair turned curly at puberty too, and I also had a perm at the time. LOL I wish having kids would make my hair turn back straight, that would save me so much styling time!
yeah, i think they are going to figure i out but I'm going to see how long it takes. It will be fun to see how they react. we arent going to be "out" anywhere, just at my friends beach house so there is no bar tender, DD, etc.
so at my new job, they have flat screen tv's throughout the plant that broadcasts announcements, news, etc. they've been looping pictures of the new hires for weeks now so my pic pops up every 3 minutes or so. yesterday i was sitting in the control room working with the operators when my mug pops up and one of them comments how the picture doesn't look anything like me.
and now it has me wondering: do i look like crap on a day to day basis and it's a great photo (i rated it an ok to crappy picture - i'm staring straight into the sun all squinty like).....or is it a crappy picture that everyone sees 1,578,736,208 bajillion times a day and i look better than my pic on a day to day basis.
either way: no bueno and kind of awkward when someone tells you your picture doesn't look like you......
#s...let us see the picture. You are beautiful, so I highly doubt you look like crap on a day to day basis.
Crazy Christmas Kids!
I just got an email from an *anonymous* sender. i.e. a drill team girl that wants to get another girl in trouble. It has something attached that I can't open. I SO want to open it.
I won't address it regardless because I got it anonymously but I'm still just nosy like that.
Is she cleaning your house with vinegar? Because that is what she used on mine the last two times even though we have a crap ton of cleaning stuff. I am hiding it before she comes on Monday.
Um, no though I do like that smell. I hear it is a good cleaner. My house smells like bleach w/ a little lemon thrown in.
Crazy Christmas Kids!
At first I thought we were out of stuff, so I started taking inventory to replace, but I think she is just crazy. I cannot stand the smell.
What kind of file is the attachment?
Crazy Christmas Kids!
Interesting. I am curious.
A .png is just a graphic file. It should open in any common image application (Paint, Gimp, MS Picture Manager, etc).
Do we get to guess what it is? My money is on a picture of someone with a bottle in hand and a cig in the other.
I'm with you.
