Re: Ten Things Tuesday
Stevie Nicks is August 19th in Toledo. We have friends that live in Perrysburg, so they are going to watch the little guy for us and then we'll stay the night there so that we don't have to drive home late at night. It will work out nicely! Stevie is one of my all-time favorites!! Maybe I will plan something special for dinner - that's a good idea. Thanks!
My crockpot is quite possibly my favorite thing in my kitchen, next to my KitchenAid Mixer. I have some really easy recipes, I could send them to you if you're interested! I love nothing more than putting a meal in the crockpot and knowing thats all I have to do and it will come out ready 6-8 hours later.
I'd love it if you sent me those recipes! Thank you!
I agree 100%. I definitely use the crockpot more in the winter, but it is probably the kitchen appliance that gets the most use. It is so easy just to toss some stuff into the crockpot and head off to work.
If you've got any great recipes, send them my way!!!!
Serendipity3, South Beach, Miami, FL 2012
1. I usually can never come up with enough things to participate
2. Sad I missed all the drama yesterday
3. Just got back from vacation and I already can't wait til the next one
4. I have no motivation to do anything and I have a ton of things I need to do
5. I can't believe that were almost in mid July, where has the summer gone
6. I admit I spend too much time playing FB games
7. I'm in serious need of a hair cut but am being too cheap to get one
8. I'm really pissed that while I was on vacation my lilies were eaten by bunnies
9. The chair I'm sitting in is broken and I'm afraid it will fall over at any moment, still waiting on MH to get another one
10. I got a new ticker in my siggy, well not that new but I finally changed it.
I'd love some recipes too, especially one's that can be kept warm for an hour or two after the 8 hr cycle. I usually don't get home for at least 9hrs, sometimes 10hrs during the week.
1. I have little/no motivation today.
2. I should be finishing the kitchen re-organizing process, it's amazing how much room I'm making & some stuff I'm ready to donate since I don't use it/need it.
3. DH was home all last week & is still home right now, it's tough since his boss is on vacation this week & the client he was working at in Cincy is taking their sweet ole time to get a new contract in.
4. I'm glad DH has been home, it's been fun as a family to go for walks, eat dinner together, etc. I dread when he has to leave again.
5. Still holding out hope that by the end of the year they will have work for him in MI/Detroit area, but I'm still thankful he has a job at least.
6. Played softball again last night, I miss playing, but rocked at the plate, going 3-3 & driving in a few runs, love that my swing is back!
7. I volunteered to play catcher last night, & I think I got the most workout out of anyone, which was fine by me. Of course I'm feeling it today.
8. My parents & aunt came down Sun. to visit & it's nice to see my mom in better spirits, she still has to wear a boot, but we're hoping soon that can go away.
9. Since my mom is better in spirits, they are hoping to take DD for a few days to stay with them, just let me know when, I won't know what to do w/just 1 kid!
10. Glad to see the weather will be cooler tomorrow, I'm meeting Ritzy & another friend for Plymouth's music in the park for the kids.
Congratulations!!
It's a long shot - becasue I don't actually know you - and you can PM me if you don't want to respond here, but what does your DH do again? I know his job has been a struggle for your family for awhile, but I don't rememebr what your DH does for a living. Both mine and DH's companies are hiring right now.
DH is a computer software engineer (or a computer geek as I like to call him!). He writes the programs for companies to use. I watched him last night as I got a new hard drive & he was putting stuff back on my computer, looked all greek to me, that's why he's the comptuer guy & I'm not!
Glad to know that my unfortunate incident served as a reminder to take your time. Haha!! How have you been feeling?
Dixie cups are seriously too small to have pregnant ladies pee into!
I have been feeling better thankfully. I was starting to think that I was never going to feel somewhat normal again.
How was up north? Did you end up telling MIl or does she still not know?
1. I never do 10 things Tuesday becasue I never think I can come up with 10 interesting things to say, so I never try. I don;t know why I changed my mind today.
2. I am tired of the super hot weather. I know it's summer, and I'll probably complain about the cold in the winter. But weather like yesterday and today is driving me nuts. It make running outside so awful. And to make it worse - every week has been typical. It'll cool off and be great during the week after a few days, and then by the weekend the temperatures sky rocket again. Can I please just have an 80 degree day on the weekend so I can enjoy being outside without worrying about heat stroke?
3. Number 2 is really long, that should count as more than one ting so I don't have to come up with as many things.
4. Our ice machine is broken at work, therefore the water I'm drinking is luke-warm and I don't like it.
5. I am really excited to run in the Farmington Founder's Day race on Saturday!
6. We are hopefulyl closing on our house on Thursday, but we still don't have a definite time, and we still odn;t know when we can get in to do the final walk through and it's driving me nuts. I hate not knowing things.
7. We finally got our wedding album in the mail on Saturday (we were married in May of 2010), and it was totally worth the wait - I love it!
8. I am in love with my local Farmer's market. Whenever I take out cash to spend there, DH now refers to it as my "crack money." I don't know if this is a good or bad thing. I guess there are worse things I could spend our money on then fresh fruits, veggies, meat, flowers, etc.
9. Lately, new people I've met have asked wht I like to do with my spare time. I reply as usual with "Distance running, cooking/baking, and dance" and the response lately has been - so when you're not running or cooking, what do you like to do? I never know how to respond to that.
10. My desk at work is beyond messy and I can;t stand it, but I never have enough free time to clean it, and I don;t want to spend a Saturday morning at work cleaning it.
9.
Ooops, just saw this! There are a lot of things...lack of patience, lack of sleep, lack of free time. The list goes on.
1. i love being a SAHM even if people don't think its a real job.
2. i think my former job was easier than taking care of ava 24/7.
3. i cleaned the bathroom today. gross.
4. my cat has a twitchy eye and im freaked out about taking her to the vet.
5. im scared of her picking up some random virus and die. i have worry issues lol.
6. if anyone else asks me why we havent gotten rid of our cat and that it will try and kill the baby im gonna punch them.
7. i cannot take living in a one bedroom apt anymore. me, the husband, the baby and the cat. im going insane.
8. finding the right house is a lot harder than i thought it would be.
9. i want another baby but i am also scared sh!tless at the thought of another terrifying and painful labor. my husband says we are done with just the one. this makes me sad.
10. i need to make some new friends. sometimes i get lonely =(
1. I kind feel like I shouldn't participate in this because people probably don't care about what I write. (or maybe are sick of seeing me post)
2. All the drama lately makes me self-conscious and feel like maybe I'm part of the issue- because I ask for recommendations and such since I know nothing in the area. I'm going to stop asking so much stuff and stick with things I know for a while.
3. I'm still glad we moved here but I'm starting to feel guilty/think maybe we shouldn't have. My dad's health seems to be worsening at a rapid rate and although my bro and sis are nearby him (sis actually lives with them) they don't do much to help out.
4. I haven't been in a position of needing to/having the opportunity to meet new people in a LONG time and I feel like I have no idea how to meet people sometimes.
5. We're starting to house hunt and our realtor FINALLY got back to us last night. We emailed a second list of 15 houses we'd like to see and now I'm stalking my email waiting to hear back from her with dates and times to go see some places.
6. I started doing 30 Day Shred a few weeks ago. I wish I had done it daily since even though I've skipped a day or two here and there, I'm still seeing/feeling results. It kicks my ass, but it's worth it.
7. Even though I'm seeing some results from #6, I don't see it on the scale, and that's frustrating.
8. In regards to house hunting, I'm torn between spending $ on a house that's move in ready vs spending less $ and doing our own fix-up stuff. I love the idea of doing it ourselves, but I also know that my husband will be a hard-ass with what I can do and what we spend- delaying all the projects.
9. My Christmas wish list is pretty different for me and people will be shocked and surely question it.
10. My bff called me last night to ask me to make a scrapbook for her sister's bachelorette party (like I did for her) and I felt I had to agree to do it. That thing cost me a ton of $, a ton of time and effort- all of what I don't have handy right now. Plus all my stuff is packed from the move and I hadn't planned to unpack any of it until we bought a house. Dh will not be happy I have to unpack my craft-sh!t
Getting back to it- my diet and exercise blog
Losing it...Without Losing it
Thanks!! I hope that's the case!
