I heard about this story several months ago. The article you posted doesn't go into detail but the men said they had "no money for medical care", they actually have a lot of money in the bank, but that just shows their mental state.
It's sad and disturbing. I hope they put them in assisted living or something so that someone will keep an eye on them.

It sounds like they really do need help--and I do hope the family guardians are able to provide the support and care they need to be safe.
I'm a little surprised they weren't sent for psychiatric care instead of being sent home. When I worked for an outpaitent psych hospital that there was a potential for us to get patients for treatment as part of their sentencing.
