homemade ice cream for toddler?
can toddlers eat homemade ice cream since it's got raw egg in it? not from a store that sells homemade ice cream, but if someone has an ice cream maker at home & makes ice cream & brings it to my house (lucky for me it's my brother!!!)
sorry if this is a stupid question...
Re: homemade ice cream for toddler?
I don't make mine with egg at all. Maybe he doesn't either?
yes, i'd love some egg-free recipes to pass along to him, thanks.
most of his recipes do have egg in them. he made banana for me last summer since i was pregnant & it was the only egg-free recipe he had.
also, any good ideas for flavors? he takes requests, so far i only asked for mint cookies & cream
thanks everyone
Peanut Butter Cup (not sure if your kids are old enough for it)

Coconut Lime Sorbet

* I take out half the batch then add a shot or two of white rum to the rest before freezing. VERY popular (but I know not technically ice cream)
Vanilla Ice Cream Base

To this I add chocolate chips, caramel, chocolate sauce cookies, cookie dough, various candies. I can add anything anyone requets.
Chocolate Ice Cream
If you want to make chocolate Ice Cream I add chocolate sauce because it doesn't have to melt like powder but I have also used coco powder you just have to mix that in with the milk so it can melt.
Strawberry/Peach/Mango Ice Cream
I dice up frozen fruit and puree somethen mix that in and add in some of the diced fruit at the end as well.
Fruit Sorbet
I also do Sorbets a lot. This one is for peach but just replace your favorite fruits and use this recipe. I like to use frozen fruit since I can serve it faster less freezing time plus I'm able to find things not in season.
