  • Nothing to really B&M about, although I feel like I slept too much this weekend.

I'm jealous. I went to Cedar Hill (Uptown Village) to try to find something to wear to my 10 year reunion. No luck at all.  I think I went to every clothing store in that town, and didn't find anything. I think I'm going to Northpark this coming weekend

  • My car has had a funky smell for a few days.  After I bought groceries yesterday, I opened my trunk to load the groceries and the smell was terrible.  I put them in the backseat instead and headed home.  DH came out and I told him to check out the trunk.  O.M.G.  I guess after the previous grocery store trip something spilled in my trunk and has spoiled.  It was the WORST smell ever.

I spent yesterday scrubbing my trunk with soapy water, carpet cleaner and a vinegar mixture.  Happy Sunday....

    This is me this morning.

I retract my AW about getting into nursing school. Crying The two people I talked to were wrong and my advisor clarified it on Friday. She hasn't even released me to register for classes so I might have to wait until Spring to take anything because everything will be full.

  • Sara- That sucks I had that happen once and it was horrible and I can only imagine with this heat lately.

Deepthi- I am sorry, that really sucks

I dont have much I had a very lazy weekend, seriously I feel like crap because I did nothing.

  • Deepthi,

That really sucks for you.  I'm sorry.  Crying

Bill shoved me on the phone with his parents last night to explain to them about "Hairspray".  He knows about that show.  It was quite awkward.

  • No one got my reference... lol.

I'm EXHAUSTED and had a horrible morning with Cadence because she was so tired too.  I left her at daycare in tears and I was almost there too because I was so frustrated with her.  I just called up there to talk to her and it's like she completely forgot!  All happy to talk on the phone to me.  So, that made me feel a little better.

We spent all weekend getting stuff ready to move and to have a garage sale to get rid of some of the excess... and it was SO HOT outside.

  • I'll comment since my day is getting more drama-filled than I want...sorry this is gonna be long but I have to get it out

For starters this weekend with the family completely sucked.  My older sister with the 2 kids does whatever the kids want whenever the kids want to do it so the whole weekend was about her kids wanted to do. It wouldn't matter what anyone else wanted.

For example, Saturday night we were suppose to be going out to dinner after we all had agreed to leave Schlitterbaun at 6 and meet back at the house to start getting ready.  Well my mom, aunt, my cousin and her daughter, DH, SD, and I are all at the house at about 6:10 and start taking showers and getting ready to go eat. (We had split up at lunch because we were taking SD and cousin's daughter are younger and had more fun in the lazy river than the "scary" rides").  Well we all get showered and dressed and it's about 7:15 and my older sister, her 2 kids, her DH, my lil sis and her bf are all still not home.  We try calling their cells and nothing.  We wait till 7:40 and decide to just go eat ourselves since we have 2 starving kids and I was getting hungry.  My mom sends a text and my aunt starts writing a note to leave on the counter.  Well my mom gets a call from older sister saying they were on their way back and wait a few minutes and they would go with us.  They show up at 8:05 and want to start showering.  I get so upset I just snap.  I told them we would not wait.  We had waited 2 hours already and we were all hungry.  Older sister said "well the kids weren't ready to go and were having such a good time I just couldn't tell them it was time to go".  My mom gave in and we ended up eating at 10:15 that night.  SD fell asleep before the food got to the table and I didn't eat because I filled up on crackers and chips at the house.  We left first thing yesterday morning.  I was done with their BS.

This morning one of my BM from the wedding posted on my status ""yeaaaahhh how do i not know this yet when ur the first person i told both times".  Well we haven't spoken since April when she yelled at me for "talking about her behind her back."  Some guy that likes to start crap and has a huge crush on this friend told her I was telling everyone that I couldn't believe she was pregnant again and still wasn't married.  First off I don't care and second she was engaged and they were planning the wedding but have now pushed it back because the due date and weddind were only a week or so apart.  She went off on me and told me she needed space and wouldn't return any calls or text.  I don't feel I did anything wrong but it still made me mad this morning to see her post it on FB.

  • I'm sleepy this morning too.  I use my phone for an alarm clock, and something is wrong with it because the alarm(s) went off this morning, but they were sooooo quiet.  I checked the phone volume and the alarm volume, and both are up, but it was still super quiet.  This is not good!

I had a pretty lazy weekend too.  Friday night, my sis and I went to Walmart and bought the one HP movie that I didn't already own.  Or at least we thought we did... I was missing 6, but we were about to watch 5, and she grabbed 5 thinking that was the one I needed.  She partially tore the wrapper and then we realized the problem, so Saturday we tried to return it.  It took 5 employees - each one higher than the previous one - and DH telling them he'd never shop and WM again if they didn't take it back - to get it exchanged, all because the plastic was open.  And the kicker is that we never took the plastic fully off - it was torn, but all four corners were still on.  However, every single employee ripped it more, and said, We can't take this back, it's open!  And one even ripped it fully off and said that! DH was SO STINKIN MAD at them!  But, they finally took it back, so we're happy campers now.  Their condition was that they had to take the wrapper all the way off of 6 before they'd let us leave with it... I guess they thought we were watching & returning them in order.

  • I am really tired, too.  I didn't do anything all weekend, besides my usual house chores and grocery shopping, but I could take a nap right now.

I know this makes me sound like an old lady, but I really think it is because of the heat.  I feel like it is making me so lethargic.

If I could go to sleep at 9 pm every night, I would.  :)

I absolutly despise Wal-Mart. But small town, where else am I gonna go?  DH bought a game once that didn't work. He took it back, they exchanged it but took the wrapper off. And of course it still didn't work, because DH didn't bother to check to see if it was compatible with his computer and of course it wasn't. So we ate that $50.

I totally got it and LOL'd, I just wasn't here to tell you. It kills me when people make one post and are already off on the wrong foot. One chance for first impression and all.

B&M - Talked to my doctor Friday afternoon and she recommened not training with my neighbor. Last month I started high intensity intervals which were really great fitness-wise but were causing me pelvic pain when I was really going at it. I was then four days late, so I consulted with my doctor and she thinks I need to do absolutely everything I can to maximize TTC in the next few months to have the best shot. This news just sucks all around for me.

Can you just take down the intensity? I would think being physically active would help your chances.

I can continue with the workout intensity I was doing prior to TTC. I was offered training sessions with a personal trainer, an intense 9 week program, basically a shred/diet regiment. He had told me that I should expect my heart rate to be in the 175-190 range for most of the session with dips into the 130-140 range during lower intensity. He told me he would only train me if I stopped running completely during the 9 weeks and would only allow yoga on my off days as anything else would cause over-training. It was going to be intense.

I was really looking forward to starting that ASAP but then had some issues and had to talk to my doctor leading her to saying no. Which I kind of expected but it still bummed me out.

I agree with MrzHotz it'll be worth it. Maybe you can get on it after you have the baby and be Hot Mama! I'm sorry to hear you're dissappointed. I pray this is your month!

  • Sorry for all the B&Ms.  :(

I am perpetually tired.  I'm beginning to just accept it.

We recently got a new superfast solid state drive computer at home and it is so fast that I have become increasingly impatient with my computer at work.  It feels slower than molasses in January and is so frustrating.

Ha Ha this made me chuckle!

I agree with Stephie, sorry about all the B&Ms today.  I don't really have one today other than it's Monday.

  • After my doctor's appointments this morning, I feel beat up.  I know working out is good for you and eating healthy is good for you but I'm just not losing anything and instead gaining, according to the scale and my pants (that were getting loose a few weeks ago).  My motivation just keeps dwindling down.

I did this with an orange once.  It hid itself very well and it is just gross.  DH now makes sure we get all the groceries out of the car Wink

  • We found out a few weeks ago that DH's company is laying off 5,000 to 10,000 employees in August. I hope he isn't one of them.

When I went in for this it turns out that all my levels were normal on every test.    I was on the lower end of the spectrum for B12 and D3 so I've been taking 5000 iu of D3 and 2500 mcg of sublingual B12 daily.

It has really helped me a lot.  I usually wait and take the B12 in the afternoon when I am most tired.

I just back from lunch and the smell is almost gone.  Any tricks/tips to get the lingering smell out?

Last night I halved two apples and put all four halves in my trunk to absorb the smell.

I was actually planning to start taking B-12 today, but was a little nervous about the bottle I bought (16,667% of my daily recommended dose?) but this makes me feel better. If you take 2500 mcg, I'll take my 1000 mcg and see if it helps me out any. :)

I retract my AW about getting into nursing school. Crying The two people I talked to were wrong and my advisor clarified it on Friday. She hasn't even released me to register for classes so I might have to wait until Spring to take anything because everything will be full.

Before you give up all hope, check with the department of the courses you will need and see what their policies are (every department will probably have their own polic: can you get on a wait list? do they have overrides for students in your position?, etc.  If UTA does early reg, you can get dropped if you don't pay on time (this is when I notice a lot of our classes go from full to having a bit of room) and this is how a lot of our students grab a seat.
