You're not alone. Jumping all over the OP was not necessary at all. And it's sad that the only active posts we have are the ones with bullying.
The Becky thing is funny though.

In this case, the OP got snarky because it was pointed out that a married board isn't the best place to sell wedding leftovers and then DD her response.
Agree. I wasn't trying to be a bully in my reply to her - I was trying to tell her where to take her post where she'd get a more receptive response.

it is one thing to feel offended if one is picked on - that would warrant toughening up. It's another thing to simply find excess snark unnecessary or undesirable... since some included in this discussion are Christians who take scripture seriously in many of their life practices and beliefs, i want to share: Luke 18:9-14 Parable of the Pharisee and Tax Collector. "To some who were confident of their own self-righteousness and look down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable..." and proverbs 14:31: He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God. when asked what the most important laws were Jesus responded in Matthew 22:34-40 that honoring God is the first and most important, and then "...and the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
while the bandwagon/bullying isnt new here and i certainly have a lot of room to grow in this area, i think it ebbs and flows and lately it has seemed like High Tide. I also recognize that i in particular am observing it more as I try to do better in these areas myself, in response to good sermons on recent sundays.

i think there's a difference between drama (that may escalate) and bullying b/c some folks are hard up for entertaining drama......or it may just be me. i don't care if someone advertises or puts a link in their siggy - i don't even really notice it until the tattle tale police come out in full force. i don't care if someone "sells texas" or wants to try to sell their (fugly) wedding supplies here - i just skip over it. but i get that some *do* care about those things and want to point out it's against nest rules to advertise or that this isn't the best board to sell wedding stuff - but those posts only need 1 person to point out those things, not a dog pile of 20. i don't think it used to be like this b/c we used to have "real" drama ;p

Yeah, I didn't even open this post until this morning when I noticed there were 40+ replies. It wasn't something I was interested in buying so I didn't bother opening it.
I'm what this group would call a "lurker". Honestly, reading this particular message board is like watching The Real Housewives. A guilty pleasure if you will. There are several other boards that are more welcoming that I like to participate in.
My point of posting this is I was perusing the Austin board and there's a recent post that someone was looking for a place to get a wedding dress altered. No bullying, no snide comments, just 1-2 suggestions. Amazing how different two sets of grown women can be.

To me its comparing apples to apples. Guess it depends on how you look at it. My sister as well as a close friend are both getting married this year and are looking for items for their wedding. Although nothing from this post would work for them, I've always got my eyes open for stuff they may need.
Really??? Really?? Asking the married ladies where they got their alterations, maybe a good photographer or weeding coordinator is NOT the same as SELLING your wedding stuff on a MARRIED board. That's apples to oranges sweetie...

LOL I have typing issues today. I was reaching inside one of the dresser drawers and I evidently snagged a loose sewing needle INTO my finger and when I hit it, I yank my hand back. Thus have this HUGE gash/cut in my finger and it hurts like a beotch!!!
