My attention span and memory has become similar to that of a gold fish.  No joke.  I was going to do xyz after I posted on Deepthi's post and started to do whatever and then I couldn't remember what I was needing to do.  This happens all the time.  And it's mostly in the work environment- I'm not as bad at home.  I'm just hoping it's because it's summer and it's not crazy busy at work therefor my mind has only really been stimulated by message boards.

I have this problem.  I'm not exaggerating when I was getting worried I might have some serious issues going on.

When I saw my Dr. she said it was most likely due to my low B12 level.  (No joke, google it... I was shocked to see that it causes so many neuro symptoms)

Maybe try that?  It has helped me quite a bit so far.

  • This has been the draggiest, slowest week at work ever.  And I have not felt good either.  I'm just ready for the weekend.

I'm glad I am not the only one because I've been wondering if I'm ADD or losing my mind and just crazy.  The probiotic I take has "essential vitamins and minerals" and the B12 amount is 6.6 mcg, which is 110% of your daily value.  I'm about to google all of this but did your doctor say how much one should be getting daily?

Deepthi-  I should be taking fish oil anyways and stopped a couple of months ago, which is probably around the time this all started, give or take some.

  • I have just been bad this week and haven't been eating healthy at all :-(  And I haven't been exercising.  I really need to get back on track, but I have just been adjusting to my new work schedule!

I know this is random, but it is on my mind.  Is it just me or have crickets gotten louder?  For the past two nights I have woken up in the middle of the night and the sound of crickets outside our bedroom window was unbelievable.

Also, some days I sit in my car and read at lunch.  Yesterday the crickets were so loud it was honestly distracting me from reading.

It's not you! the frequency of chirping depends on the temperature, there are scientific/mathematical formulas that shows the relationship and know how hot it is depending on the sound. I found this rough formula for you if you are interested:

"To get a rough estimate of the temperature in degrees fahrenheit, count the number of chirps in 15 seconds and then add 37. The number you get will be an approximation of the outside temperature."

Very interesting.  I don't know if I could keep up with the cricket chrips.  That's a lot in 15 secs with it as hot as it is.

If only this meant that it was cooler at my house...I haven't heard any crickets lately.

I take 2500 mcg per day sublingual (they say it absorbs better that way).  The body doesn't have the ability to absorb it all so they recommend you take quite a bit more than you need to ensure you actually get enough.  It is not toxic so you can take as much as you want/need.
