White bras? Do you wear them?
I do not even own a white bra. I think it was college that I learned to wear a nude colored bra under white shirts and I have never looked back. I see so many women wearing thin white shirts with blazing white bras underneath and I don't understand it.
Thoughts?

Re: White bras? Do you wear them?
I learned in college to wear a nude bra, never looked back.
My mom still wears white bras, I blame her for teaching me wrong.
So Tasty, So Yummy
I have one. And I wore it yesterday with a white shirt. I never paid much attention but I guess I will now.
I learned the nude bra thing in college too. What's up with that?
I like to have a crisp white bra in the mix so I always have one. But it is usually what I wear under a bright color when I don't have a bra that matches that color. Wearing nude all the time is boring and I don't like black bras under bright colored clothing. With bras that hold my jugs up costing upwards of $60+ I stick to 2 black, 2 nude, and 1 white most of the time.
I'd say poor DH but he doesn't even wait to look at the bra, so it doesn't matter.

I have one. When I went bra shopping post-nursing the bra I found (and liked) was sold out in nude. I bought the white because I refused to wear a nursing bra any longer!
In my defense, I RARELY wear a plain white shirt. I think I own one and it has ruffles on the front, so you can't really see much.
My next purchase will be a nude one, though, out of habit mostly.

This. I have a white bra currently, it's a Calvin Klein bra that I love but have a really hard time finding in my size, I happened on a white one at Marshalls for like $14 so I bought it. My bras are almost all boring old nude.

KNJepp, I learned the nude bra/underwear under white clothes from Oprah as well! And I rarely watched her show. Too funny.
Even worse is when someone wears a white thong under white pants or dress. That always skeeves me out.
I do have one white bra, but I generally only wear it if I'm layering tank tops and one of them is white. I will sometimes wear it under a lighter colored/patterned blouse that you can't see through if my nude bras are all in the wash. But otherwise, they're all nude, with one black.
I was seldom an Oprah-watcher either - makes me wonder if we all saw the same episode!

Me too. Some of the prettiest/fanciest bras I have are white or part white. Having them isn't bad as long as you know when to wear them and when not to...
I just prefer not having to think about it.
