Re: B&M Monday
The bolded is happening ALL the time right now. I am 25 and 90% of my FB friend's list is in the 25-30 range, so it's about that time. It's funny about the fertility clinic, I have actually heard that more than once. It seems like you resign yourself to seeking help and bam, it happens.
Thanks, Deepthi. I am glad I am handling this one better as well! I think it is harder for me to deal with myself than it is for me to see the actual announcements. I am normally the most supportive and 110% excited person, so it is just hard to deal with feeling bitter as I never in a million years expected to be this person.
On another completely random note, I did some couponing last week and yesterday for the first time in quite awhile and it turned out great. Yesterday I got Pantene shampoo & conditioner, 24 rolls of Cottonelle TP, 3 spiral notebooks and highlighters for $0.08. My DH was really excited. It's funny because I enjoy the pre-couponing work and he enjoys the post-coupon savings.

Tiffany's talking about having babies... again.

There were a few other women in labor in the same room and they were a bit older, maybe late 30's, early 40's and Brianna was making fun of them and calling them wimps after you told her they were saying they were scared.
*snort*
That's funny!

Haha. At least I wasn't pregnant this time.
LOL ...well sure, when you take it out of context!!
Someday, maaaaaaybee.
Not too much to B&M about except that it is way too hot this year and this week is going to be hell-like!
DH came home yesterday. He was tired and cranky but took a little nap and got into a much better mood and we got to enjoy the rest of the evening together.
Brianna and BL-OUCH! I really hope you both get to feeling better soon!
Chelsea, I loved church camp as a kid. He'll have a blast. Have fun in Hawaii! JEALOUS!
Leslie, sorry you have another friend annouce their pregnancy. My older sister still has a little bit of a problem hearing people say they are pregnant and weren't trying. She doesn't want anymore kids (they adopted 2) but it still hurts since she couldn't get pregnant. It will happen! Don't give up or get discouraged...just keep trying
Chelsea - have a great time in Hawaii!
Leslie - I have a couple of friends that were in your place, trying for a while, while other friends would become pregnant when not trying. I hope it happens for you soon!
Nothing really to BM about - great weekend getting to hang out with some other bloggers from weddingbee and then got to hang out with our friends at a house party Saturday night.

Chelsea - I remember Mel's first trip to church camp. I cried all the way to work. She, of course, had a blast!
Tiffany - I too have spider veins. I don't wear shorts much anymore because of them. I have had them for years but mine are pretty bad now--I've thought about treating them but the treatments are expensive, don't necessarily work and are somewhat painful I think. I might try researching it again though as the last time I did it was awhile ago.
I don't have much to B&M about other than it's Monday.

I'm starting to feel all Nestie official, what with you girls adding me on FB and trying to figure out my signature picture. FUN!
Shortgirl -- the shoes I'm wearing in today's blog are my FAVORITES. They're killer tall, but lovelovelove them.
Tiffany -- I escaped the spider vein gene in my family, but I have stretch marks like WHOA. No matter how much weight I lose, you can still see that I used to be a chubster.
Lauren -- were you friends with Jenna Cole, from weddingbee? (ETA: She was Miss Avocado, I believe) We started out as e-friends and got closer when our babies were born just a week apart... we're SUCH different women, but I still read every post on her personal blog!
Is it weird that I really hope for twins, so I can be pregnant once and have two kids and be done with that part? DH's mom is a twin, so hopefully that ups my odds
Triplets would be scary though!
I don't think so, I feel the same way! Both my grandmothers were twins and DH is a twin so I'm keeping my fingers crossed :-)! I agree.. triplets would be a little scary!
Leslie, I think its only natural that you would feel a little bitter and I think that just shows what kind of person you are that it bothers you.
I seriously just woke up from a nap. Matt and I stayed up till 2am watching insidious (not good) and I got up to see him off to work at 7 so I just caught up my other 2ish hours of sleep. Also, I am super happy because last night I got done with all the math I needed to learn on the pharmacy tech stuff.
Okay, here goes - Easy Breakfast Tacos for the Whole Week:
Brown your breakfast sausage & crumble it up as you go. Drain it really well, set aside. I did a whole package - you know, those tubes of sausage. Now, scramble your eggs. I used 10 large eggs, came out with 11 tacos, and threw a bit away - I figure I used about 80% of an egg per taco. Lay out your tortillas on squares of foil, like an assembly line. I put one ounce of meat, a scoop of egg, and a little less than 1/8 cup finely grated cheese in each tortilla. I made 10 sausage tacos and one bacon one (because I had some bacon in the fridge that needed to be cooked). Then, roll up the taco, and fold up the foil around it like a little packet. Toss em in the fridge. The next morning, turn on the oven to 350 and put them in - I put mine in while the oven was cold. It takes it 6 minutes to get to temp, and I left it in for a total of about 11 minutes while I was getting ready. You can leave it in longer, and it just gets toastier.
Calorie count: La Banderita flour tortilla - 81. 1 oz Jimmy Dean sausage - 90. .4oz grated cheese - 40. 80% of a large egg - 56. Total - 267 calories!
FYI, my sis uses 1/2 ounce of sausage and a whole egg, so the calorie count would be lower. Also, I thought DH would eat some too, but he said he didn't want any (after I'd made 11 tacos). So, I threw half of them in the freezer... I'll let ya know next week how those turn out

BL - Once my DH got the worst sunburn ever, so I did some Googling and we found out about the black tea remedy. Make a pot of black tea and then cool it, dip a cloth into the tea and put it on your sunburn. It will pull out the burn and offer a lot of pain relief and it seems to heal the burn faster. I do not know how this works really, only that it really does. I think it has something to do with black tea having more tanins than other teas. My DH was so bad off I made five batches of tea and put them in the bath and just soaked in that. He swears by it and gets burned frequently, so we have used this method quite a few times.
Angie - I will have to try this. I will likely cut the meat and add a bunch of veggies instead but I really need a new breakfast item to add in. I love the GM smoothie, but am getting burnt out (thus my week of fraps last week.)
I am bad about this too. I rub Vitamin E oil into my cuticles every night to keep them from drying out.

Ugh, I pick at mine too! I have the nail polish looking bottle that is vitamin e oil sitting at my desk. I also have the bad habit of not paying attention during conference calls, so now I will put that on at the beginning of the call which moisturizes my cuticles, and keeps me from punching away on the keyboard (so I don't get oil all over it) and not paying attention on my call.
I also want to B&M that I have a kickball game at 8pm tonight, and it is still supposed to be 102 degrees out.

I was planning on running the Rahr Brewery 5k on 9/24 as my DH was actually interested in it and I was hoping it would be motivation for you.
A friend gave me a flier for one she wants to run on 9/10 and another friend asked me to run on on 9/17. I kind of just want to do the one on 9/24 and not the others but it is just assumed I will go along. Three 5ks in 3 weeks seems like a lot of committments as well as a lot of money.
Wow, yeah that is a bit much! Huge time and $ committment there....and not having a free Saturday for basically the whole month stinks!
Yep! I haven't met her in person, she moved from Dallas right before I became a bee.

LOL, have I been acting weird?
I have a friend who got pregnant on BC twice. The first time, she was on the pill. The second time, she had an IUD!!
I had a great weekend, but my B&M is that I sliced my left index finger but good last night. Like, through the nail and into the nail bed. It was at an angle, so it's not too deep, but it's pretty gross. I can handle blood usually, but apparently not when it's my own. I made Courts change the bandaid last night because I thought I might faint.
I am watching this week's episode and what she said when she gave her kids the bracelets brought me to tears. She said that people might look at matching family bracelets as cheesy, but she didn't care. She wanted them to have a reminder that whatever happens, whoever they marry, wherever they go, it all started there, with their family.
LOVE her!
I don't think it's bad at all. I love how much she cares about her husband and kids.

Is Jack off to Pine Cove or All Saints or Camp Crucis? (the 3 church camps I went to growing up in Dallas)
So MIL and i work for the same company, different offices. Her husband is retired, and is building a carport/garage thing. She just emailed me and said that Justin (my DH) needs to help his step dad with building the garage. That it hurts his feelings that Justin doesn't offer to help.
1) My husband is not a handy man kind of guy by ANY means, I can fix more around the house repairs then him. Seriously, he'd get in the way more then anything...although it would be nice for him to help, because he may learn a thing or two.
2) Well if hurts my feelings that my husband does NOTHING around the house to help me. My response to her was "Yes he is lazy, want to know when the last time he did so much as take the trash out or wash A dish without me asking him to do it several times was? A VERY long time" Her response "Well it really hurts his feelings that he doesn't offer to help"
Maybe if she wouldn't have babied her son his entire life, and not made him do so much as lift a finger, we both would be happy campers. I want to just respond...well you raised him....but that would start World War 3.
I get where you're coming from, but do you think that it was constructive to send that to his mother? I don't. My MIL would have a hay-day if I flat out said that about her son, just as I'm sure my Dad wouldn't let it fly being said about me.
I don't understand the "I'm only helping you if you help me" mentality. What's wrong with helping them out? Maybe offer your services if your husband isn't handy?
Just my $.02

Unrelated to the issue at hand here, BUT, I have to ask.
Why does your husband not pull his weight around the house?
ETA: Also, I agree with Brianna, you shouldn't be saying things like that to his mother. In fact, its HIS mother ... you should be telling her to call her son and get out of the middle of it altogether.
