Nephew kicks dog-Should I discipline

Re: Nephew kicks dog-Should I discipline

  • Yes, I would say something. I would also say something to the parents along the lines of if your son doesn't stop hurting my dog, you won't be invited to my house anymore.

A few months ago my cousins came to visit. My 6-year-old cousin wanted to play with our dog constantly. She never did anything mean to him intentionally, but sometimes she would put his leash on and try to drag him around the house. I told her, that we can't do that and when she didn't listen a put the dog in the other room with a treat for a break. She was pissed and her mom didn't understand why I had taken the dog away, but he needed a break and it's my responsibility to make sure he's okay.
