Re: Thursday Randoms
T is allergic to mosquitoes (or bug bites in general?)
Now I would mind if it was still damp by the time I took a shower and I couldn't access a clean, dry towel right away. I hate damps towels...eew..
The one he used was my post-run-shower towel (from 11am). The one I got stuck with was his post-swim towel (from 6pm). Mine was much more dry, plus it had my own butt germs on it. His was...well, not, and his. Wah.

Mol, Willa has the same reaction, as she gets older, it's less severe. I have a similar photo of her, but the bite was on her upper lid, and she couldn't open the eye. Poor kids! Hope T can avoid the bites or grows out of the extra sensitivity soon.
Hehe... butt germs... snicker. I'm okay with sharing a towell with my H.
GRSP, my husband would claim that the small birds in our neighborhood are extra-carnivorous this year in that they are constantly attacking him while he mows the lawn. He says they dive bomb him constantly and he must mow with one hand free to protect his face from the angry birds. I have not yet seen this, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't laugh at his description of the scene. He doesn't really find it very funny though. Dangerous situation.
Here's the first paragraph of my formal case presentation for class. We have a checklist of issues to cover, so it doesn't flow very well, but...
The client is a 32 year old Jewish male of Palestinian and Israeli descent with little formal education. He has dabbled in carpentry, but is currently in travelling ministry. Client is a self-referral who is confused and frustrated about his life role. He is a single male who spends most of his time with a close group of male friends, and identifies himself as heterosexual. Client does not have a permanent home as a result of his occupation, and often sleeps on the couches of friends or his mother.
I like it! It makes me want to read more. You picked a great person to study, that's for sure!
I will get on it....we did have a talk the other day that bugs in this heat tend to fly less often, so maybe a) there is less bugs around to eat or b) they are flying slower making it easier to catch them.
Our "bird girl" just left on Monday for the year otherwise I would ask her. I can ask some staff.
I laughed at butt germs too.
Gasp! Poor B. I have a divebombing birds phobia thanks to Mr. Hitchcock's movie. This news + the angry bird downtown makes me even more curious about what's happening (and also kind of scared of birds). On the funny side, I'm picturing Kaso mowing the lawn in a football helmet or bee keeping hat.
The things you learn as a mother....I did not know that people could be allergic to bug bites. Poor kids, indeed!
He had one on his ear that was swollen as well. I think the ear bite bugged him more than the eye bite, but overall I don't think it was painful for him.
Mira - I don't like that at all for you. Not cool. I was pretty fragile at that point and if someone had said that to me I would have been really hurt. Do what you want and what you would normally do. Do not go above and beyond for anyone but baby James.
D&MJ - Poor guy. I hope his reactions subside.
I don't mind sharing a post shower towel with Mike as long as it is dry. Damp towels give me the heebie jeebies.
For real?! Maybe I should have gone with natural sciences instead of social sciences in my undergrad.
Thanks for sharing that info. It makes sense.
Ha, for some reason I thought this might be Jesus.
Yup.
Client's belief structure and life choices have made him somewhat of an outcast with a large part of his community. While respected by his peers, he has been called a revolutionary and an outlaw by many, and he shares that no one really understands him. He believes to be under constant watch from church and legal officials because of what he calls his message. He feels immense pressure from those around him, and his (absent) father.
I love rootbeer floats!
My AW- I won $45 at my Bunco game last night. Yay!
GRSP, your writing style of this case study is excellent. I know I've told you before, but I really envy your creative writing ability.
Aw shucks... thanks. It's interesting to have picked Jesus, and challenging to write it up as a purely objective observer. Kind of fun too.
Yay - Congrats. I'm not cool enough to know what Bunco is.
With your big group of friends, I bet that would be a fun thing for ya'll to do. I haven't played before but know a lot of people who have monthly bunco parties. They usually have a potluck dinner and play. Hoek can explain it better, but it is a dice game.
Oh Juli - quite the contrary. I am sure it means you are much cooler than I am! gvsu is right - it is an awesome night for a big group of friends.
12 people split between 3 tables rollin' dice. You work at rolling for 1s, then 2s and so on until 6. repeat 4 times total. You score points based on different rolls: 1 point for rolling the designated number, 5 points for rolling 3 of the designated which is also called a Bunco. You play with the person sitting across from you and move tables based on wins and losses and you keep switching partners. It requires absolutely no skill - just the ability to roll dice.
We all put in $20. This gets split at the end for different awards - Most wins, most losses, most buncos, etc. We also give money to the person who hosts. We each take turns hosting a month. I'm lucky that our group is filled with wonderful hostesses that always make good food and serve booze!!
It is honestly a really fun night. We eat, drink, and laugh a lot. Some months you win, some months you lose, but you always end up having a good time.
I love Bunco!
I'm confident enough in my bathing abilities to believe that there are no butt germs to spread to the towel 30 seconds after bathing.
I can imagine!
I think you've done a great job. Is there more?
Chymes with the butt germ/bathing abilities smack talk! This is very funny. Yo mama has butt germs...*

I'm writing a treatment plan right now, and then hope to tie it up before bed tonight. If there's interest, I'll share the whole dealie when it's done.
OMG, I'm dying right now!! So funny.
And yes, I would be interested in reading the rest of your analysis.
There is interest! Please share!
