I'm trying to unbury myself after being gone.

Can't wait to hear about your trip!

Thanks! Trying to process it all.

  • Has anyone done the cardio tennis program through Wyoming Parks and Rec?  I'd love to get DH playing again for some exercise.  He played Varsity in High School and in College so he's very picky about who he plays with and wants to play actual tennis and not just hit back and forth.  Otherwise any other suggestions???

I took N to the doctor today to get his ears checked and they were clear, thank goodness!  But she noticed he has FOUR teeth about to pop through.  No wonder he is cranky and does not want to eat, poor kid.  But the highlight of the trip...he weighed in at 25 lbs. 12.5 ounces.  Almost 26 lbs as a 10 month old??  No wonder my back always hurts!!

Holy cow!  (No pun intended.  Wink)

My dude weighs 27 lbs right now.

Glad there is no ear infection...ouch to four teeth. He is a big boy.

    That made me LOL!!

Noah is constantly outweighing 1 1/2 - 2 year olds! Smile  At least T has a good pound on him.

  • We went to a petting farm this weekend.  T was in "doggie" heaven.  (Sorry for the overlap, FB friends.)

I don't consider myself a huge animal person, but I could have stayed there all day watching them.  :)  (And T could too.)

    * * *

He fell and got a bloody nose at home yesterday.  Faceplanted on the kitchen floor  Between the bug bites and him falling, he looks like he got beat up.  Crying

And yes, I really did cry when I saw his nose dripping with blood.  Embarrassed

I'm sure it's the first of many, but man, I already can't handle it!

  • I saw information today on Twitter and FB from ArtPrize, inviting people to apply to be a member of their street team this year. It's basically the "promotion" team for the event - be visible throughout the city, able to answer questions, direct guests and artists, and you have to be able to commit to a certain number of hours during ArtPrize. The more I read about it, the more I was excited and wanted to apply. Then I read this among the qualifications list:

    Qualifications:

    • Age: 18-35

And I was surprised. I understand the lower age requirement...but to limit it to people under 36? That seems contrary to the spirit of ArtPrize. What do you all think? Is that odd to anyone else?

Yeah, that definitely strikes me as odd.  And it also sounds like age descrimination to me.  I don't understand why they would do that.

  • WHAT?!  I'm too old to do that!  Oh, ArtPrize: you lost some cool points there.

Poor guy. And poor mom, too. Hopefully it gets easier?? Henry got smacked in the face at the playground at the mall. Bloody lip - argh!

    For real!

Some people called them out on Facebook about it. I'm waiting to see how (if?) they respond.

lol - that must be it!

  • I just visited their FB page (to throw them some 36 year old wrath), and it looks like they've changed their minds.  ;)

I'm betting that the under 36 requirement went hand in hand with Monster energy drink being one of the sponsors of the street team.

My 36 year old, post-baby bottom, would look HOT in those shorts.  Good thing they changed the requirements! Wink

  • I'm not terribly bothered by the age requirement, yet.  Stick out tongue  Juuuuust kidding.

My day was flying by until about 3.  Then it came to screeching halt.  :(

I blame the age requirement on Rob Bliss.

The age requirement bugs me.  I agree Chymes, it just doesn't seem in the spirit of ArtPrize.

  • The news is really depressing me.  Between the economy and the deaths in Afghanistan, it's pretty bad.  Sad

Great! I appreciate that they are able to admit publicly when they made a mistake.

So who else wants to apply with me?

    Yes
