Since we all hate this day, I just skipped the first part of it.
Got in an argument/little fight with G last night, which then turned into a big discussion that neither of us are happy about. We both still seem to be "off" this morning which is frustrating and makes me feel sad. Hopefully all will be resolved tonight.
Plan is for a 5 miler tonight, hopefully my blister will not hurt! So far so good...
That's about all I can muster this morning. I feel tired and sorry for myself.
Re: dreaded ____day
I'm sorry Shauni, hopefully you guys can straighten it out tonight.
Last night Greg picked me up from work and we went to the airport to pick up a friend. We got there very early so we hung around the airport, we were bothj amazed how busy it was for a Monday at 6pm. There were families there waiting for military people to come home. I was very glad for my sake that the their plane was delayed because if I had been there I probably would have been that pregnant women crying.
We came home made BLT and french fries my new but old favorite dinner. Did some dishes then for the remained of the evening tried to get comfortable and not feel like I was 80 years old. I ended up going to lay down early just so I could strech out.
Tonight I will hopefully check up on some of my DVR. Has anyone scence the new lifetime show Against the Wall? I've only watched the first episode very good so far.

Ugghhh I just saw this on the Entertainment board. Please don't remake dirty dancing...
dude, not even pregnant and that ish makes me cry. on our honeymoon, the guy in front of us at security was going off to basic training and his mom and his GF were there to see him off. I bawled.

Blahhhhh. Already off to a bad start, wanting to strangle an idiot at the pharmacy and then another at my doctor's office. I wish I had unlimited time to just visit these places in person, because I swear people just lie to you on the phone and don't put forward the slightest effort. I had to walk the pharmacy lady through every step - "Well, can you look it up for me please? No, I mean actually look it up on the computer. Yes, I can give you my birthdate and spell my name for you, for the tenth time."
Other than that, an uneventful day most likely. Last night Jeff and I almost got into it with an a$$hole at our apartment gym, and I have a feeling we'll be running into him again so there's always that to look forward to.
Hope you guys are on soon, that sucks. Been there too much recently.
Tuesday what what. F U what what.
Last night I went home, changed, packed my gym bag and lunch, ate dinner, and then my mom came over for a few hours. We had a nice visit. She left, I let the dogs out and got into bed to read. MFD got home at 10:30, at which time I was nearly asleep.
I have a headache today. Haterade.
Eighth day of exercise. Pushing straight through to Friday for 11 days in a row because Saturday and Sunday I will be lazing in the pool imbibing. I will do some in-pool marching and frolicking but not close to what I've been doing.
A remake of Dirty Dancing is an abomination. Re-release it in the theaters instead.
I carried a watermelon.
My favorite line from the movie!
NJTransit was horribly delayed, but overall my commute was pretty smooth. I'm still kind of mad at DH for almost missing the train this morning, but since I was 40 min late anyway, oh well. The amusing part is they had flyers for a new customer satisfaction survey on the train. So lots of people were filling it out on their phones while stuck between station.
I'm very upset about the Dirty Dancing remake - they said they plan to keep some of the original songs and add some new ones. Also, sorry Amanda, after next year, no more Eureka. I don't watch it, but I heard about it last night.
I also spent a few minutes last night updating my personal calendar with the fall premieres. I'm a dork and have a separate google calendar that lists all the releases of TV premieres, books, movies, DVDs that I'm interested in. So I don't miss one.
*This entire post is disjointed and makes no sense at all. I apologize.
Morning girls. I was catching up late yesterday b/c H was off from work yesterday. We were also catching up on stuff around the house (like laundry and sleep) from being gone this weekend.Had a fun weekend away, but our doggies surely missed us. Jetta worked herself all up thinking we left her forever so she got sick a few times... yay.
Highlights of the weekend include walking 8329784354091357 miles (I am JUST now getting rid of the permanent shinsplints), watching some awesome fireworks timed to music like HPs theme, Katy Perry, etcetc... and eating bad for you stuff like chocolate covered cheesecake on a stick.
Grocery shopping and possibly lawn mowing is on the list for today... I did FIVE loads of laundry (hung on the clothesline outside and all!), filled and ran the dishwasher, and changed the sheets on our bed yesterday with some help from H, but he went back to work today, so I'm back to my boring routine.
Depends on your budget for rooms. Tons of places on the strip and the Hard Rock hotel is off strip but they have that Rehab pool party. maybe hop onto the Travel board and ask for recs. I've stayed at the NYNY, Tropicana and the Imperial. One of these days i want to try the Wynn, Mirage and Monte Carlo.
IUI #1 10/12/11 (Bravelle + HCG + Prometrium & acupuncture) = 10/26 BFP! Beta #1=250, Beta #2= 615. 1st u/s 11/8.
Shauni - sorry to hear you got into an argument last night, I'm sure today will be better. James and I don't have fights that often (we did a few days ago) but after a few hours or a day it cools off and we're both better after we get little vents out.
Tuesday, schmoozeday. Yesterday got home a few minutes before DH and we had planned to go on a run but he was pooped out and wanted to move it to tonight. That was fine so I made dinner and after dinner he went off to finish up my birthday gifts (I have no idea what they are as he's hiding them at his parents house) so I took the dog on a 2.5 mile walk, did dishes and watered the plants on the side of the house. nothing too exciting.
Today - about to hop on a conference call
here at a conference call. After work, the plan is to go for a run, eat pulled pork that has been cooking in the crockpot, watch Teen Mom and then relax.

so glad you asked this! i am playing fantasy in my mind and would love to surprise gerren with tickets out for our birthdays in march. although it is hard to justify spending $1500 for a long weekend away when we can save that and use it for alaska...oh bother, i just want to be rich.

hey all!!
I'm back!!! Yeah!!
Quick notes-
Fighting/arguing with Sig other sucks. Everyone has off days. Hopefully you guys get back on soon!!
Salsibury steak sounds yummy now.
Seeing any member of miltary leaving makes me cry like a baby.
Dirty dancing is a classic and should not be touched. Don't make Patrick roll over in his grave. The end.
I am so glad to be done doing interviews. I was on a panel and it just made me sad. Well, first it made me exhausted b/c we did 30 interviews in 3 days. But then it made me sad realizing how lucky I am to have a job! I mean, this was a very very entry level position and we had people with various master degrees apply. Sad stuff.
If my doctor was preggers herself I might have punched her yesterday. Although I love this woman and we get along great, she pi$$ed me off at check up yesterday. I've maintained a -1lb since my first appointment with her, and passed the god awful early screening for diabetes test, yet she wants me to see a nutritionist anyway. Hmph. Not happy.
Other than that, things are ok. Its gorgeous out. Not too hot! Happy ______ Day!!!
Leo- When making pulled pork what kinda of pork do you buy to put in the crockpot? I've been wanting to make some and didn't know what to buy.
Morning, all.
I should be more rested because I went home yesterday at 11:30 after puking my guts out (twice!) in my office, but not there. Ugh. Did a whole bunch of nothing yesterday - just watched a bunch of TV. I have 8 million things to do at work, so I'm hoping today goes better than yesterday!
Xtine - I use pork butt. I have a flippity awesome pulled pork recipe if you want it.
Jessie - I've stayed at the Venetian, MFD has stayed at the Luxor. If I went back I'd stay at Treasure Island or Flamingo. MFD would stay at New York New York. I would kill to stay at Mandalay Bay but I don't want to spend the $$.
eMiLee - samesies on premieres. I rely heavily on Entertainment Weekly for my dates.
Way late on this but posting anyway. Went home early yesterday after going in late. Double oops but my eyes were KILLING me from looking at the comp screen. No one has any rosters or school schedules available and it was a waste of my time to be there.
I did manage to *hopefully* create my weekly schedule as in I know where I'll be when. I just hope the teachers work with me since I'll be at 4 d@mn schools. Is it May yet?
I called J yesterday and told him to thrown some chicken in the crockpot with some bbq sauce. Well, I get home and find out he's added about 10 more ingredients. It turned out okay but a little spicy for me. I have a feeling the crock pot and I will become BFFs so any good recipes??
Morning ladies!
I am struggling to get moving today. I worked last night and didn't get home until around 1 am. It was a good night to get back into work, but I am wiped out today.
Yesterday I finished all our laundry from vacation and it is currently waiting to be put away. I also made a few loaves of zucchini bread and left the dishes for DH to do, but he didn't so I have those to do today too. Need to run to the bank, pay bills, do some cleaning, make something with the 4lbs of zucchini I still have, and then work again tonight.
Yes, please! I'll PM you my email. Thanks
Morning all, although for you east coasters, it's afternoon. Lucky. Still tired, body not so sore anymore, thank goodness.
Was a lazy slug all night and it was glorious. DH even made me dinner. Lucky me. Deciding when to take our 1 year trip. MIL has asked us to dogsit on our actual anniversary but is bribing us in return with a hotel stay. Hells yeah. We were going to use airfare points for the flight, and we'll have MIL book a fancy hotel. Yay for keeping costs minimal. Dogsitting is a small price to pay for missing the ACTUAL anniversary.
Trying to figure out what book(s) to read next. Options are Dragon Tattoo series, Sookie Sackhouse series or Hunger Games series. Any recs? The library is out of them all and I'm too broke to download anything to the kindle...
Shauni-sorry about the fight. Happens to all of us. I'm sure you'll work it out soon
Jessie-what kind of trip is it? Fun, Gambling, Relaxing or Partying? I've done them all in Vegas. We stay at the MGM lately b/c they have a lazy river that is one big party in your pants. Lots of drinking, debauchery, and good times. Last time we stayed at The Signature at MGM which are condos (towers) attached to the MGM. They are fancy schmancy apartments and you have access to their pools (relaxing) or the lazy river (partying). MGM has good access to NYNY (roller coaster), Excalibur (cheesy show) , Tropicana (if you wanna gamble cheaper), and the M&Ms store (a must go to). I could wax poetic on Vegas for hours, but the bottom line is, you really can't go wrong. Even though I love the north strip, there are pros/cons to any location on the strip. I would definitely recommend staying on the strip and then cabbing to off-strip locales (like Hard Rock Hotel, Blue Martini bar and Fremont street)
thank you for making me laugh.
