So is the board dead for good?
I missed all the drama (don't worry, I'm not asking for a rehash) but I was wondering if this place is over for good?

Re: So is the board dead for good?
How have you been? Anything new or exciting going on?

Hey Linds! That's good to know.
Nothing much, unfortunately. H is still in testing for his EMT certification -- hopefully it will all be over in September. This has taken FOREVER. My life is pretty much the same. How are you?

How exciting, Sept. will be here before you know it! Not much has changed around here, DH is still building up his business, things are going well so far.
My friend is getting married Sept. 9th so I've been busy with the shower and the upcoming bachelorette party. Other than that I'm just counting down until vacation, I could really use it at this point.

I hope not. I enjoy "talking" to you ladies. I guess between the drama and the usual summer slow down, it got really dead.
Glad to hear you're both doing well, though!
Question for you - I see you're both going away soon. Any suggestions on where to go for a short 4 or 5 day trip? We've been thinking either Vegas or something else for a one year anniversary trip. Our HM was kind of bust since we were both sick so I'd like to do something nice.
We did only 6 days for our honeymoon, and we still did Mexico, we did Playa Del Carmen and loved it!
If you're looking to stay in the US, DH and I LOVE going to Ft. Lauderdale (Florida) whenever we have the chance, and November would be a great time of year for that.

oh FFS. Are we 12?

Raang -- we went to Montreal, Quebec for our honeymoon and we had a good time (though it was seriously cold).
Where are you located?
Books read in 2012: 21/50
@Raangoli - Vegas would be nice for a few days, or New York. If y'all like shows y'all could see one in either city. Ft Lauderdale sounds nice, I'd like to go there someday too.
@Bay - hang in there hon! Your H will be all done with it soon!
Montreal sounds fantastic!

Bay - Hi! Haven't seen you in a while! GL to your H... it will be such a relief when all the test are done.
Raangoli -- I lived in LA or 2 years, and while I didn't like living there, I do enjoy short visits. There's a lot to do (beaches, museums, clubs), and you can live through a few days of traffic when you don't have to drive to work in it. DH lived in Atlanta, which I also liked visiting for a weekend (pretty, good restaurants, some clubs). I've also heard good things about Charleston.
We're spoiled here because there are a lot of places in California that are great for quick getaways. Tahoe, Mendocino, Sonoma, Yosemite, Monterrey, Russian River, Carmel, LA, San Diego... I guess I can suggest California too lol!
Temurlang! Hi!!! *waves* Thanks. I will pass the good vibes on to my H. He could use them.
Linds, I realize that you and Steph are having an issue, and since I didn't see the original thread and don't know what went down, I really am not trying to take sides. But I don't think you should keep deleting her threads, even if you don't like what she says in them. Mods are only supposed to delete threads that violate the TOS of the boards. If you take it upon yourself to delete every thread that you don't like, it comes across as censoring, and it's just not a nice thing to do.
I like you, and like I said, I'm really not trying to take sides. I'd PM you but I can't figure out how to do that on TN. Obviously I'm an idiot.

Bay - I haven't deleted a single post since becoming the mod for the board. The initial post that caused an issue was deleted days before I was appointed as the mod. I was just as surprised as the rest of you to see Steph's post from last night gone when I logged on this morning. I'm assuming she chose to delete it herself.

Okay. I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions then. After Steph was talking about deleting threads I didn't think she would delete her own. I apologize if I sounded like I was accusing you.

No worries
<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home D
Why would I delete my own thread? I've never been one backtrack on things I've said... guess it just mysteriously disappeared, huh?
Out of curiosity, then, Linds- how did you become mod here? I'm assuming you whined to someone that there were people being mean here. (which we weren't. Well... if anyone was out of line, it was Faith.) Do you have an explanation as to why two entire threads were deleted when no TOS were broken?
Eat.Drink.BeMarried. Blog.
Steph - as I mentioned before, the original thread was deleted prior to me being appointed as mod, which would make it impossible for me to have deleted it.
As for your most recent thread I can assure you I did not delete it. You may want to contact TN to inquire.

That must have been all the "YGPMS!!!:):):)"
Steph, you are in my head, lol. I literally just paged you asking where your posts are. Looks like we have another over-eager mod. Yay.

Whatever, Blue. We can all be honest- I was way over-eager on TK when I was first mod. haha. It's not something I'm proud of though
Linds- I really don't care that thread much. I'll just choose to believe my original assumption. I am still curious though how you became mod here.

I thought it was pretty obvious that Faith deleted her own thread. If it were my thread, I personally would have deleted it too as it had gotten way out of hand.
You can delete your own threads now?

Oh wow, I didn't realize TK didn't allow that. Yes, on TN and TB you can delete your own threads!
This exactly. It's kinda where this one seems to be headed as well.
Books read in 2012: 21/50
Bay - a lot of boards refer to then as "DD's" (or "Dirty Deletes") when the OP deletes their post. I am not typically a fan of deleting either, but that thread, I could definitely see why Faith wanted it to go away!
We call DD's when the OP deletes their OP, not the entire thread. Its frowned upon because everything that was said gets deleted and then people can claim that things were said that were not in fact read.
Case in point: Bay didnt get to read the thread, however, from the way you ladies are portaying it, it would seem that Steph, myself and a few others were the only ones to say anything in a bad light. When in fact, I for one, never commented on her OP, just on the attitudes of people who were bashing Steph for saying something.
Its seems really cowardly and Im surprised its allowed on TN and TB.

Ladies lets remember that not all pregnancies are created equally and we cannot assume someone has a "healthy" pregnancy just because they are fortunate enough to be pregnant with a healthy baby.
I think at this point we're beating a dead horse, we're all aware of how everyone feels, and I think most of us are ready to move on.

I love when I get told what to post about.
You are really good at this
