This week hasn't been the best, but I decided to just take it as a wash and move on. I'm hoping to meet the girls at Starbucks for the book club, but part of my car broke and I have to take care of it on Saturday.

We went to the new In-N-Out in Ft. Worth last night. It wasn't near as busy as the one off 75 was. It was tasty!

It's worth a shot. I did notice in my quest last time that all the other "location" boards were mod-free, as well.
If it helps at all -- the other local boards that I've been a part of in the past also had a lot of the same issues -- multiple requests for the same kind of information. However this board is rare because nesties are actually ON it everyday - the LA board was pretty dead.
I think I saw another board do this -- can't remember who, but they started a "All the Info You Want to Know" post. It has all of the generic questions people ask, all answered. Then you just direct new posts to that generic post.
Not sure if it's a real solution, but just an idea
I just posted an email I sent and the addresses for the Nest/Bump Gods - let's see what happens if we all send an email. Maybe it will work?

I am having a really tough time with our "realtor" right now. I probably come off as a total b!tch, but seriously....if you are getting paid $1k (not our $!) and all you've done is parade us around for 5 hours to look at houses. Yeah, I expect that you to step it up a bit.
Thus far, I have found the house, signed the lease, worked with the leasing agent - all while our "realtor" was on vacation. Now she's back, and she just wants me to continue "what I've already started".
Uhhh, then I will take the $1k. Thanks.

Hope everyone has a good Friday and weekend. I'm so glad it's Friday. We are going to Wichita Falls to see DH's family.
We have 2 baby appointments next week and I'm ready to make sure everything is still all good.
Next week is going to be tough though emotional wise. Tuesday would have been my stepdad's bday and my mom is already sad and saying she isn't getting out of bed so I have the day off after the dr and will be taking my mom to lunch and get pedicures.

Seriously, when is someone going to introduce this? As digital as this world is now, I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet... but I think it could really cut down on miscommunications if we had it.

Sorry. I personally love the drive because that means I get to go to College Station but I can totally understand your point. It is a bit of a drive just for a free dinner. I hope they realize they are being unreasonable! You should charge them for the extra time and gas!

I think there is a lack of placing value on time in general for a lot of things.

In other news, I'm having a very hard time sticking to my "no politics on Facebook" rule today. It's bad business to talk about religion OR facebook online when you own a company... and I figure since we already talk so openly about our faith, I should really steer clear of getting in political arguments.
But then, people on Facebook have to go and be OPENLY STUPID, and it's hard for me not to fix it.
Last night was our date night. I wanted to eat a steak. We were talking with our neighbors and one neighbor told us to go to a cajun restaurant near us as it was awesome and they steak. Cajun food is my least favorite food in the world but I agreed since DH loves it and there was steak.
The steak was $30, which I was not about to spend at a place known for cajun food that just has one steak on the menu. So I ate some random gross cajun seasoned chicken thing with gross cajun seasoned rice. Wasted date night.
So I flame my neighbor for not mentioning that the steak was $15 more than anything else on the menu.
Whenever I go to La Hacienda Ranch I order the $30 steak and it is AMAZING.
The extent of my like for cajun food is the sweet bourbon chicken you find in mall food courts.
I also love La Hacienda, so I would probably order the $30 steak there as well. It just sucked since we had never been there before so I had no gauge of if the place was actually good or just "well, they said it was good" and the only other options were Old Bay or Tony Chachere.
Oh my gosh YES. I've deleted a few people in the last 24 hours, actually. A couple Knotties/Nesties too. *gasp*
I tried really hard to stick to the "if you can't say anything nice" rule....but when I felt I could no longer control myself I decided it was better to delete.
