Pantyhose are making a comeback.
See
here. Darn you, Kate Middleton. Does anyone actually enjoy wearing pantyhose?
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

Re: Pantyhose are making a comeback.
I read or watched something, can't remember now, that the reason Kate wears hose is because it is a royal dress code or something.
I'm on team Pippa...no hose for me!
This is me, too. I didn't even know they were out of style until maybe last year (I guess that makes me "fashionably late?"
). Until recently though I also didn't wear dresses very often, other than for formal occasions.
Hose still seem more polished to me, but I've started getting used to not wearing them. I still often wear knee highs with my work shoes though. They seem to keep my sweaty feet more comfortable and dry (I'm sure you all wanted to know that about me).
Ditto CarFar. For my line of work (very professional conservative dress aka suits) it is a must. Honestly, I don't mind wearing them.
I'm pretty meh about the whole "trend" (or lack thereof). I don't have a need to wear them presently (I have a jeans-everyday-is-okay job), so I don't, but I don't feel particularly judgey when other people wear them or anything.

I am not sure I see it catching on over here and if it does it probably won't be for as long.
During the fall and winter I tend to wear pantyhose/sheer tights (um, I think there's a difference but I can't remember right now). I couldn't imagine wearing them during the spring/summer which I think she does.

As soon as it was acceptable to doff the dumb things I did. I don't even wear tights...though I am considering an addendum to that because I saw some purple ones the other day that I really liked.
We have spanx for our bellies and thighs now days...so who needs hose? As a freckled person...hosiery always looked terrible on me...not to mention I am paler than "nude."

Whenever I had to wear them, I wore thigh-highs - same effect for your legs, no uncomfortable waist band.
I much prefer tights...thick, warm, cushy tights.
also - I remember the same thing - she has to be WAY more conservative now that she's got the title. At least when she's out in an official capacity.
Yes, that's what I read too.
You know the quote from Steel Magnolias where Dolly says, "I haven't left the house without lycra on these thighs since I was 14." and someone replies with, "You were brought up right."
Well, that's me. I wear pantyhose to work every day and under dresses for dinners because I was raised that way. I really don't mind them. My biggest problem is I never seem to have a pair without runs in them when I need them.
