Re: Foodie GTG recap!
Limoncello Sangria. You picked a little green ball over limoncello sangria. Eh...more for me.
to be 100% honest, i spent the entire day sunday cleaning out my garage.
DH didn't say a word, he just joined right on in, because when i start cleaning something, ANYTHING, he shuts up and helps since it's so rare. I was (literally) a hot mess when i realized it was foodie gtg day. like, sweaty and covered in sawdusty dust with garage dustbunnies in my hair. i was in "do not pass go, do not collect $200, clean the effing garage" mode.
today, however, i could totally go for some limoncello sangria. i bet that would be heaven if we put it in the ice cream maker till it got all slushy.

well, well. i'll be honest. georgia has reflux, i was at her doctor's office for the better part of saturday. i was running on eight hours of sleep for the past 48 hours and didn't feel like washing the vomit out of my hair but i didn't want nestie gossip flying when i showed up with dark circles that no amount of touche eclat will fix and smelling like spit up.
plus, i'm a perfectionist. i heard it through said gossip that your dish was just so-so. i wouldn't want that rumour going around about me.
Huh? Everything I tasted was amazing...not a so-so dish in the bunch.
So Tasty, So Yummy
Why would you edit your response to add something like that?
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted and used against you. My Blog
Ditto this. My way too overstuffed belly agreed as well!
Really? LOL
Perhaps if you spent less time trying to convince the entire world of your alleged perfection you'd have more time to wash the vomit out of your hair.
My original post was to point out that you're not the first mom out there. Most of the ladies that attended have kids, so your attempt to look like a martyr was falling on deaf ears.
PS.. I'm ok with my dish being "so so" according to your sources. My life doesn't revolve around what everyone else thinks. I'm not perfect, never claimed to be, and I'm ok with it.
Your dish is the only one I had seconds of
.
Thanks
Crazy Christmas Kids!
i was thinking more
from both sides
Why not just say the first part in the first place?
It was Caramel Apple Salad.
I agree with everyone, all the dishes were excellent! And honestly, if someone were to show up without a dish, I doubt they'd be stoned. Just saying...

What had chopped up snickers, and how the L did I miss that? I blame it on the stupid fruit. The attempt at eating something healthy must have clouded my judgment. I can't believe I missed snickers...
Click it if you can't say it!
I'm starting to wonder if I was even there...I don't recall seeing the caramel apple salad. Will you make it again and send it to my office tomorrow? Thanks!

Wow. Everyone seemed to have such a good time. I'm so disappointed that someone was a *** after they left. I mean, not everyone was going to like every dish; we all have different tastes. However, it sounds like someone was just being plain gossipy and mean. Too bad.
I thought everything was wonderful. People were welcome without dishes and I told the story about the time when a friend asked if I needed the trash taken out. When I said "No, why?" she said something in my house smelled like rotten food or sour milk, to which I replied "Oh, that's just me."
I agree, that is disappointing. If I thought people would be judging me based on the quality of my dish I probably wouldn't have come. But everyone was so nice and welcoming at the GTG. I didn't hear a mean-spirited word out of anyone's mouth.
I can't wait for the next one, and the next one, and ... I'm getting hungry again.
necessary nestie and people pleasing disclaimer.... I mean no offense to anyone.
No offense taken at all. You're right. I was harsh and out of the blue.
Truthful, but harsh and out of the blue.
I am bummed I didn't get to go. I didn't have a sitter. And I think Rayskitt made it kid-free because the last time we were at her house for a foodie gtg Alex ate all of the goldfish right out of the bowl with a giant serving spoon. I promise we've worked on his manners since then!
And now I want caramel apple salad. And everything else. When is the next one?
LOL! That was funny. But technically I didn't make it kid free. The nest is a democracy and it was voted kid free. My kids did eventually show up, though... Bastards!
Party crashers! I love it! They are already wild ones!
