I think it's SA Wednesday!

I bought stationary supplies! I'm a nerd this actually cheered me up.

Yesterday was super busy so I wasn't able to get on, but I have stalked the old threads and I'm good to go now.

  • I'm such a sucker for stationary/art/office supplies!  If I were a hoarder, I think that's what I would hoard.

  • I was in the grouchiest mood last night, and I picked a dumb fight over an even dumber comment DH made at bedtime.  He finally said, "Angela.  I was just playing."  (I know I'm in trouble when he calls me Angela-with-a-period-at-the-end haha).  I nearly cried because I felt like a butthead, but I mentally scolded myself to get over it, and then apologized for making a big deal out of nothing, and we snuggled and everything was fine after that.  I love that he doesn't hold grudges, because sometimes I can be ridiculous.

I have pregnant people beef, skip if you are feeling like dramatics are not for you today:

I think I am going to have to hide the friend on FB having the triplets. Every single post is about how tired she is, how she has three times the hormones so people just don't understand. How she is tired of hearing people's remedies for nausea because they don't understand how nauseous she is, no one ever will because she is a special snowflake and having triplets. No one understands her pain and oh, yeah, her favorite cupcakes are from Sprinkles and she likes the strawberry and vanilla flavors can someone bring her some, like, right now. The babies need them.

In the same vein -- DH tells me that the neighbor was crying in his driveway last night because his on/off girlfriend had left him after being back for a month. Surprise! She is pregnant! It was an accident and they weren't trying! He said they had a doctor's appointment set for Friday but he came home Monday afternoon and she was packing her things no explanation.

She leaves, won't talk to him, then texts hims and says she isn't pregnant anymore and anyway, she wasn't sure it was his. Then yesterday it turns out she is still pregnant and she just isn't sure of the father, so she panicked and left because...wait for it...she was afraid they would be able to tell the father of her baby from the test at the dr. on Friday and was scared he would be mad. *headdesk* *facepalm* x 100.

I am going to have a very hard time being nice to her if they get back together.

  • Oh my my my Leslie.  I'm not sure I have much to add/say to that craziness. LOL

My DH has been sick (sinus/cough) for a week.  He finally got a z-pack yesterday thank goodness bc I can't take another night of him coughing for over an hour before he falls asleep.  I finally asked him at 1 AM if he took cough meds to which he replied "I didn't take any bc I didn't think I could mix it with the z-pack."  *facepalm*  Men...gotta love em'!!  Stick out tongue

  • Angie - Sometimes I pick fights over the dumbest stuff, too.  I'm glad your DH does not hold a grudge and that y'all are both over it.  :)

    Leslie - Wow.  To both.

Wow! Just Wow! Honestly, that's the only response I have. I'm trying to think of something else.

As of now I'm not going back. With everything that happened with UTA I'm not sure I want to go through this name change process with them as well. Plus, When we were looking at the classes I have to take almost all of them are during the day. I'll either have to quit or look for part time. Right now we can't do that and maybe next semester we can. It's a frustrating situation, but hey things you really want are never easy.

  • Angie, I do the same thing, our most recent one was over him dumping my clothes on the bed (after he washed them for me) and not telling me so I didnt see them until bedtime.  I think most of us do these things from time to time and thank goodness we have good husbands who forgive easily.

Leslie, WOW is all I can say especially on the neighbor part.

I had a headache from hell last night.  Many pills, bio freeze, heating pad, massage, sleep nothing seemed to help and its partially gone this morning but not all the way.  This last week my body has just felt broken.

This might be my #1 reason for marrying Daniel. I used to throw the biggest fits over stupid stuff and draaaaggggg it out all night. With him, if I make him really angry (and it takes a whole lot for him to get angry) I can usually leave him alone for an hour and then go back and ask if he's still mad at me and he just smiles. Seriously love it. I'm actually surprised he stuck with me after some of the biitch fits I've thrown.

  • Leslie, what a piece of work - both of them!  Sometimes I think Darwin missed it with his "survival of the fittest" theory Wink
  • Glad to know that my opinion of these ladies is not off-base.

I have moved Titan to a place of honor in my sig. Last night the neighbor asked if he could borrow Titan for a few days to show his wife that big dogs can be good in houses. I laughed but I think he might have been serious.

  • Leslie - I echo the others when I say I'd hide the one and avoid the other, because that's hellaridiculous right there.

Angie - Been there. SO often. Mack truly is a saint for loving me, because I'm not like you... sometimes it'll take me days to realize what a bonehead I am.

My SA is also sort of wedding related, well, because my job is wedding related.... but it looks like McG is going to Aruba! WOO HOO!!! I'm so stoked, I could just jump all over the office all day long. WHICH would probably be a great way to work off the calories in the celebratory bottle of wine I drank last night...Embarrassed

  • That picture is cute!  I think we should do siggy challenges once in a while...because I never remember to change mine.

Also, Crispin climbed the baby gate yesterday and got out of the kitchen... but he was a good boy so we weren't too mad.  Hopefully he'll remember that he really is potty trained from now on!

ETA - Chelsea - I am so jealous.  If there were ever a position that is the equivalent of a golf caddy for photographers, I'd want to be that so I could go to such awesome places too :)

This reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend a couple days ago. She said that sometimes, when she and her DH have had a fight, she tells a friend about it because she needs someone (other than her DH) to tell her she's being ridiculous. I said that I generally don't tell people about mine and my DH's fights, because I always realize that I'm being ridiculous. Always. I don't know how he puts up with me sometimes!

Leslie - Titan is gorgeous! What a face!

Today should be fun, we're doing a for-fun dance shoot with some volunteers from my sister's studio. Then tonight we're doing Mexican food and dollar bowling with friends. I'm terrible at bowling, but I always have a blast.

  • Everyone seems to get to work earlier and earlier, I really dislike the lack of quite time to do my thing.

I get a daily recipe sent to my email and today was the Tunnel of Fudge cake.  I came across this recipe years ago, cut it out and saved it and always wanted to make it but I forgot all about it.  I'll be making that this weekend.

I really dislike having 6 billionty bosses, especially when they all want something different for a certain thing.

  • Leslie - "special snowflake" - bwahahahaha!

Angie - I can't change my siggy.  I will be forever a bride from 2009.  Luckily it's a great picture.

Ok, speaking of pictures--Lynn has a wedding up on her blog right now and I SWEAR I have seen this groom before.  Like I am positive.  He has a very...um...distinctive, yeah that's it....haircut.  It's unforgetable.  I have scoured Joseph Mark's blog for 2 days because I think that's where I saw him before.  I even remember what the bride looked like and everything.  I have terrible visions of him knocking off his former wife and already moving on to the next one....

    I haven't been sleeping well lately....have I mentioned that?

  • LOL to 6 billionty!

I just remembered I had something else I was going to post today. Last night at the gym I had the primo treadmill, the one right in front of the fan and under an AC vent, I was on minute 43 of my 50 minute run, I had just kicked it up to do a sprint series for 2 minutes before starting cool-down, I was in the zone. Then this man walked in absolutely bathed in cologne, like so much I actually coughed. He then felt the need to get on the elliptical right next to me; I could barely breathe and was starting to get sick from the smell. I had to slow wayyy down. He proceeded to "work out" for 90 seconds and then got off the machine and started to walk out.

I may or may not have lost it and jumped him about gym ettiquette.

    LOL to 6 billionty!

It's ridiculous.  I just got an email about wanting something different (others trumped her last request because she isn't my boss) and she told me to do something different in spring as well.  My first thought was I hope like crap I am not here come that time.

LOL Stephie.  Maybe they did e-pics?

  • Leslie- That would drive me insane. I feel sorry for your neighbor. :(

Angie- I pick fights like that all the time. :( Normally it gets to the point where I blurt out that I don't even know why we are arguing and we just laugh.

Mcg- Yay! Congrats :) I hear it is amazing in Aruba! You need an international division now!

    My SA....

I'm upset that C2 is pregnant. They can't even pay their own bills or get their finances together, but they are ready for a kid. That's FANTASTIC!

    :(

  • Does anyone know of a good home decorating blog? Not too modern, has lots of pics and DIY ideas possibly.

I'm not sure what C2 stands for, but It's like the girls on TTGP say: naive + broke = superfertility! Well, actually they say something slightly meaner, but that's the gist. Sorry you are down about it. :(

I don't but I did want to say that I am jealous of your countertops and backsplash in your kitchen. I am a creeper who was totally checking out your house decor behind your pretty surprise flowers. :P

Have you been to the Decorating and Renovations board? I stalk it and find a lot of useful blog that lead me to other blogs and so on... I can't save any of them here so I don't have the link.

I love The DIY Showoff.  Every week there's a linky party with a bazillion DIY projects on other blogs, and I've found almost all of the blogs I follow through that site.

  • C2 is my whiskey tango SIL. My brother had been "skyping" her for 6 months. She was a HS fling for him that came back. They were both seeing other people during that time. She lied to our family and moved to Hawaii in Janurary. They were engaged two weeks later and married two weeks after that. Our side of the family didn't know a wedding was going to happen. Then they had another wedding 5 days after mine.

She is a real winner! The night before my wedding, she had my entire extended family kicked out of the flying saucer for underage drinking. This is the extreme short verison of everything.

  • I missed y'all yesterday but I think I'm caught up on threads.

Chelsea I'm so jealous you are getting to travel to all these beautiful places!  Great perk to the job!

Anglea, I pick stupid fights all the time and I'm also very luck DH is so understanding!

My mom and I had a great day yesterday and we both only teared up once.  We went to the hospital to visit the nurses and SD was with us and asked we are finally going to get to see granddad again. Crying  We told her granddad was in heaven and I think she might have gotten it that time because she looked so sad and said "so he's gone forever".  That is the only time we cried.

On a good note, I'm officially in the second trimester and I have somehow lost 5 lbs instead of gain.  That's not a bad thing since I'm overweight anyway but it was a nice surprise!

    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • Well I typed a huge SA and then it didn't post.  So, lets just say that today is not my day.

I think when it comes to explaining those things to the little ones I can barely handle it. It good to hear things are getting a little easier.
