I have a job interview and I need help deciding what to wear.
option #1: blank pants, solid colored top, with black suit jacket, and closed toe shoes
option #2: black pencil skirt that goes just over my kneew, white or solid coloed shirt, with cardigan and skinny belt
a couple of questions...is it inappropriate to wear a skirt with bare legs? do you always wear closed toe shoes for an interview? i always ge mixed reviews on his
sorry for all the typos...i'm on my phone and it won't let me go back an edit for some reason.
thanks!
Re: interview attire
I would do #2.. might make you stand out a little more in their minds since you're a little homely!
I would say bare legs are fine, but I would for sure wear closed toe shoes.. at least until you get the job! Good luck hobag!
It is in fact a marketing job ;-)
ahhhhh....I dont even own hose...ick! do i wear nude ones or printed. i do have some printed black tight/hose.
i hate interviews btw! and i hate amy too!
I'm surprised I'm the only one who thinks Option 1 so far.
Option 2 is what you'd wear to the office on a typical day at work; option 1 is what you'd interview in - maybe just funk up the accessories a bit. You're a hottie, L; you will make the suit look good.
TTC #1 since 08/11 IUI#2 = BFP!
I would say Option 1 but I have an interview tomorrow and will probably do a version of option 2 because I know the department has casual Fridays and my department is business casual so everyone will know something is up if I deviate too much from that and the departments are just steps away from each other.
What type of company is it? It is a company that is suits dressed anyway...then go with a suit.
If not, I would go with Option 1 still just do not be too stiff with the look.
I have a friend who has interviewed for jobs and was offered the job and never wore suits. She just wore a skirt a plain top and sometimes tennis shoes.
Hope you get the 2nd interview!

I've always worn something like #1 to every interview I've had. And I've always gotten the job.
Fingers crossed for the 2nd interview!
