Re: Hi I'm new here

  • Oh man this was a good thread. Didnt your high school have some program to sway you from wanting babies? We had to carry around a plastic baby doll that would randomly cry and had sensors and all. It was super annoying.

Anyways as much as I would love to come up with a long snarky response I must be off to battle the financial aid office at my college. Or maybe I should wait for my H to come do that for me. Heaven knows I am *just* a woman who couldnt know anything about money.... *insert dramatic hand-on-forehead faint here*

  • Does anyone else not realize they got married to have sex? OP, I know too many young girls just like you.Have you even considered the financial burden You bear on your husband as the sole provider? I'm going to assume you are a Christian, and as a Christian myself, I will tell you that supporting and serving your husband is more than being his cheerleader, chef, and housekeeper. Marriage is give and take. What are you giving in your marriage? (other than being completely subservient). I understand your idea of him as the head of the household, as that is how We function as a family as well, but if I were to want to go back to school or work he would do anything and everything To help make that happen,as it would better our family.

There is no need to rush having babies! You don't have to have a four year degree, but what about something you can do from your home? Massage therapy, cosmetology, become a doula! There are plenty of options to get you out from focusing on YOU and enriching and blessing other peoples lives...which I'm pretty sure is what God has called us to do.

Look into Dave Ramsey and go through Financial Peace University TOGETHER.You need to learn to take Your fingers out of your ears and open your eyes to the fact that living, even living simply, takes money. You need to think about the future and how you are both going to provide for your family. What if your daughter wants to go to a good college and get a decent education? Is her only option going to be student loans and years of debt because you didn't set up a college fund for her?

There's so much to be said to you, but I just don't have the energy. You will figure it out one way or another.

p.s. Sorry about the formatting, random caps or words and bad punctuation. Im on my phone and I hate swype!

oh another p.s! Ever heard the verse about how a MAN should leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife? Yeahhhhhh, you should look That one up. The fact that you still PLAN on being supported by your parents is SHAMEFUL.

  • You know I asked you this on botb but you never answered:

What are you going to do if you can't have kids?

Are you still going to sit at home all day vacuuming the same patch of carpet while you wait for him to return and eat your dinner for the next 60 years?

Because let me tell ya- that get's old, really quickly.

Fuuck TTC - I'm moving on.
