Wow, Ritzy, you've been busy replying to everyone!  LOL  :)

LoL... I know.  It's quite pathetic, actually.  Emma is still napping though so I dont'  want to make too much noise doing anything.  I figured I'd kill a half hour and populate the board with posts. Cool

I'm not complaining!  It makes me feel special.  Wink

    1. We are closing on my Grandma's house this afternoon. I have mixed feelings about it but am sad that I'll never be in her house again and that soon I won't have her smell anymore.

I know how you feel.  I felt the same way with my grandparents' house.

    2. My first baby shower is on Sunday. I'm VERY excited about that!

    3. Not much has been taken off of my registry.  I snoop.

Ooooh, have fun!! You'll have to post some pictures for us!! I snooped a lot on my registry too.  I'm sure you'll get a lot of last minute shoppers tomorrow :)

    4. My MIL had a lump in her chest biopsied this week.  Tests came back as I was typing this - she does NOT have cancer. Words don't describe how relieved I am!

    What a relief!! Thank God.

    5. I?ve been wearing the same pair of contacts for over a month because I still haven't unpacked the box that has my contacts in it.  I can't find them.  Ugh.  Sick of living in half unpacked house.

I wear my contacts for a lot longer than I'm supposed to as well.  I can seriously make a one year supply last about 3 years. Tongue Tied

    3. My bewbs look uneven in the shirt I'm wearing today.  I tried to adjust my bra strap to correct it, but now it's bugging me.

Hahahahaha.  I swear my left one is bigger than my right one.  I don't think it's obvious in clothes but I'm always thinking "this is really strange".  I think it's fairly common for one to be larger than the other though.  Although now that I'm pregnant I'm just big everywhere, so it's hard to tell what the hell is going on anymore.

I think it is common, but it isn't something I have a problem with...I think.  I blame the bra.  I should go shopping get a new one. Yes

Growing up, I knew someone who was two sizes larger in one breast, so it's definitely possible!  Same with feet.

    3.  In regards to #2 DH still has not told our landlord that we are leaving our apartment yet - it is in our lease that we have to give 30 days notice prior to moving out - the longer he waits to call, the longer we have to wait to officially move and it's making me really mad.

Ugh.  I'd be irritated too.  When do you think the house will be ready to move into?

    4.  I'm excited for vacation in Marquette in a couple weeks - I've never been and it sounds awesome, and I"m running the marathon up there and I couldn't be more excited about it!

I've never been to Marquette either.  Good luck on the marathon! Is this your first one?

Hopefully the house will be "move-in" ready by the end of next weekend - all the other little random projects we want to do can be done once we're there - but I didn;t want to try and paint an entire house with all our stuff in there.  It's just taking al ot longer than we thought.  After that I want to start moving some of the boxes we have at the apartment that we won't need right away - but we can't do the big mve - furniture, etc. until we notify the landlord.

I've heard lots of good things about Marquette - so I'm pretty pumped!  And no - it's not my first marathon, I've actually done 5 before - I'm not fast at them by any means - I'm much better at shorter distances, but I've felt pretty good this time around training, and I like travelling for the marathons - I see some pretty cool stuff when running on local roads and trails.

  • Ritzy - your bump pic is really cute!

    2.  I feel like I can never catch up on my DVR!  But, in the summer, I try to spend as much time as I can outside.

Our DVR is filled with stuff too.  You're right though, it's hard to get motivated to watch stuff in the summer unless I'm really looking forward to it.

Yeah, I try to stay caught up on the reality shows, and will catch up on the movies on some cold winter nights hopefully :-)

    4.  I've been looking at past mortage statements and never realized how much we pay in interest, yuck!

Hahaha.. I feel ya.  If you want to stress yourself out, start thinking about the interest you pay on any sort of loan.  It's kinda' depressing.

Yes, I hate intrest, it's like throwing money out the window!

    5.  I really can't believe that DD is 21 months today, and I am in denial that she is going to be 2 soon, but I confess that I have already been researching party ideas!

Don't they grow fast?! I can't believe Emma is going to be THREE in a couple months.  Gasp.  What kind of party ideas are you tossing around? Do you think you'll have a big party? Let's discuss.  I love parties. lol

I know, time really does fly by!  I was going to do an Owl theme, "Guess Whoooooooose turning 2!", but DD really LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  She calls it hot dog because of the song/dance at the end, it's so cute.  So, I'm leaning towards having that as the theme.

But, one of my best friend's had a Minnie Mouse theme for her daughter's 1st birthday this year (and even had a Minnie Mouse come), so I feel kind of funny and don't want her to think I stole the theme.  The good thing is though, no one else from my party would have gone to hers...lol.

For DD's 1st birthday, we had around 50 people!  I'm hoping to cut down the list a bit, but will probably end up with 45-50 people because some of the people that were invited last year were out of town.

That is wonderful news!  I can't even imagine the relief!

  • Ritzy -- you're so cute!  Now that you mention it, I think I have seen that bump pic before, but it's ok, it's still fun to look at!

I don't know what it is about the photos that I love.  I don't want to hear about your crib bedding or your breast pumps, but I absolutely want to see photos of people's baby bumps....you pregnant women are adorable.

Also, yes, DH has a motorcycle.  He actually took me for a ride on it on our first date!  :o)  His is a crotch-rocket.  He bought me a bike for my birthday this year (a really old, really cheap one) just so I can learn how to ride and see if I like it.  Definitely his best present ever!

  • 1. I have having a summer cold, this is miserable!

    2. Poor DH caught it before he left for Cincy, so he's felt even worse than me, so hopefully sleeping in his own bed this weekend will help him.

    3. My lil guy went from <3 percentile in weight to 16% in just 3 months, whoo hooo!!!!

    4. Can I bottle up this weather for next June, july & Aug?  I love it & my backyard is green, not the usual Aug. brown.

    5. I haven't been the most patient mommy this week, I know I can't be perfect all the time, but I hate when I lose my temper w/DD.

Oh gosh.  That would be terrible.  I don't think I'd like that at all.  You'd probably be spending a fortune on specialty bras!
